First Impression Doors and More

My wife and I are thrilled with our hurricane impact resistant French doors that replaced our old…read moresliding doors. The new doors look fantastic, both inside and out and provide a degree of quiet and privacy we never had with the old sliders. First Impression's prices were reasonable, and the installers they sent out were completely professional and a pleasure to deal with. Even our building inspector had praise for both the installers and First Impression Doors. Whatore can I ask?

Outrageouly bad service and no follow up, stay away from this place if you value your money,…read moreI bought double front door and door handles (aka pulls) from them. Be aware that this company only sells the hardware, the install and painting they farm out to 3rd parties, I had issues with the paint after a few month, painter ghosted me even though he gave me a 5 Years warranty. One of my door handles started to come loose. It took 2 months to schedule an appointment for technician to come out with a dose calls and many missed appointments. When he finally showed up the technician came with a small Allen wrench and told us the screw is stripped and he would have to cut off the handle to replace with new. It would cost $1000 nor under warranty because the screw is stripped. I called the store at least a dozen times, no call back was ever received and they also ghosted me. This place has no interest in doing anything but sell the doors and hardware, they don't care about their customers at all. STAY AWAY!

Nothing but good things to say about the folks at Guardian Storm Protection. I posted on Nextdoor…read moreasking for recommendations for hurricane shutters, the accordion style. I received lots of suggestions, but several people all said Guardian. I contacted them and they sent someone out immediately. The tech arrived and examined my windows. He showed me options and even had a working model on hand I could text out and review. He provided documentation for me to peruse as well. I asked for a quote and he gave me one on the spot. It was HIGHLY competitive with the rates I had been quoted by others so I didn't really need to hear anymore and decided to go with them. I had even considered not doing two of the smaller windows, but the quote was so reasonable I had them do all the openings. I reviewed some paperwork. He drew a map showcasing where each window was and the three large sliding glass doors. He explained they would handle everything with the permitting and the HOA. I have a difficult to reach HOA liaison, but they even helped with that, sending multiple emails and phone calls. The process really couldn't have been easier. We had a date scheduled for install immediately. They filed their paperwork with the city right away. Got the HOA locked in. And then just waited for the install date. Install was quick and painless (for me, not for the hard working installer). Shutters were put up. Inspector came a few days later and reviewed everything and signed off. Honestly, it was a breeze from the customer side. Really happy I went with them and looking forward to the first hurricane season in years where I don't have to spend a day putting up shutters! Thanks!

It included the permit, but after working with the sales person and the customer service, I found them to be an excellent company. I would recommend them to everyone in Florida.

Having gone to several other vendors, we found that we strongly preferred natural stone slabs over quartz or other manmade materials. Azul Stone has a pretty sizable inventory of natural stone slabs to consider. [They also carry a wide selection of quartz and other materials as well.] David Nasser was very helpful in our process, consulting with us on the vibe each stone would create, the ideal way to utilize the stone in our kitchen as well as the ultimate placement of the templates on the slab. He has a good eye, and good taste as well. Azul Stone also provides fabrication and installation services as well, which makes the entire process much easier. We thought the fabrication work was excellent, and the installation, while tricky due to the need to demolish the existing countertops, went smoothly and well. Timing was quick as well - the installation was scheduled about 8 days after we approved the template layout. Finally, we felt the pricing of the materials and labor was very reasonable and fair. We would highly recommend David and Azul Stone for stone work, especially if you like natural stone.
