Just a few hours after posting my original story below, we received a call from them, and they did everything possible to make things right. Fausto came to our home, inspected the entire job, and created templates based on our existing countertops. We then visited their brand-new, spacious showroom--filled with beautiful items--and discussed our options with Andrea. They were wonderful and genuinely wanted us to be happy. We selected the perfect marble slab, and the replacement installation was completed within the week. We are so delighted with our new countertops that I couldn't wait to share the news. All of our issues were fully resolved, and we received many heartfelt apologies from the team. Our perfect kitchen is finally complete. I will recommend this company to everyone. Five out of five stars! Even after all that time had passed, they stood by their work and made sure we were happy. ================== =============== These guys were great until they installed the product. The countertops were not the same ones from the shop where we picked them out. They were somehow weather beaten or something as there were marks everywhere that made them look like they were ten years old and totally abused. Yet they were brand new and not cheap. All requests to have them come to try to clean them in place were stalling tactics. People who were going to help (who said it would be no problem to clean) never showed up and eventually we were told they no longer work there. No one seemed to care anymore. In the end our dream kitchen looks pretty shabby and at a huge cost.

This was a major job. On the positive side, Ashley, who unfortunately is no longer with the company, was phenomenal in assisting with the layout and templating of the design for both the countertops and walls. Then came the negatives: First, the initial installers were a disaster as they intended to power saw the stone right in the kitchen with almost no protection. I had to stop them, complained to Creation, and was sent their 'A' team that was excellent (cutting equipment was set up in the yard, proper coverage was installed etc.). However, once the counters were installed, the second problem arose as it became clear that the fabrication of the edges was seriously flawed. I sent pictures to Jessica, she agreed that the work was unacceptable, and to Creation's credit, they completely re-fabricated the edges at their own cost, mitering them with phenomenal matching of the veins in the quartzite. I was so impressed and grateful to Jessica for taking responsibility and curing the flawed fabrication that I had planned to use Creation for my next major bathroom renovation (Jessica and I had been selecting the stone) until I experienced the third problem. Over the past several months, I have noticed that the mitered edges are substantially chipped, and worse, that there is increasing discoloration along the edges. This discoloration shows most prominently on the tops of the counters. The counters have been installed for two years. The kitchen has had very little use as I was away for a good part of that time, and I am the only one who uses the kitchen, cooking and cleaning. I contacted Jessica, sent her photos, and assured her that no harsh cleaning products were used. She suggested that moisture may have seeped in through the mitered joints and that her workers may have to use a tool to dry it out. I also spoke with a contractor who suggested that the edges may not have been sealed properly. Unfortunately the two workers who arrived, speaking little English, indicated, as far as I could understand, that they did not know how to correct the problem. I then spoke with their supervisor who said that he would send another team. The following day I received a message from Jessica saying that the project was out of the 1 year warranty, and that Creation would not be sending a team to address the problem. To date, to my huge disappointment, the discoloration continues to spread with no further response from Creation, and therefore the 1 star rating.

He did a shitty job, Suzanne fixed as much as she could and worked with us but this guy left wires in the wall that apparently was the main gfi, that eventually had to be cut out. Then he left a cut out hole in the cabinet above the microwave because he had originally installed them to far to one side and had to be removed and reinstalled and then we still have the cord to the microwave rolled up in the cabinet so you can really only use one side of it. Needless to say working with him was a headache.

Shoutout to knowledgeable Julian in the store who showed me various replacement doors and quartz samples, Diane, who helped with design questions, Nelson, the company's owner, who brought samples to our home and accompanied me to look at quartz slabs and made fantastic suggestions (i.e., cabinet conversions to pullout drawers), Fernando, who reconfigured my plumbing to accommodate my new sink, Caesar and his crew, who removed my Corian countertops and backsplashes and installed my new quartz, "Mr. Magic", Eddie, who singlehandedly removed my old doors, converted cabinets to drawers, and built an additional pantry; each providing quality workmanship while always being meticulous. Nelson was on top of everything and responded immediately to my texts and phone calls. Signed the contract 7/29, was told work would begin 8/25. The quartz and plumbing were done 8/25-26, deconstruction and construction of cabinetry was done the following week and the entire project was completed in an extra 1/2 day. The quality of the replacement cabinet doors and drawers with soft close is beyond excellent and the newly built items are of superb craftsmanship. All members of the crew were friendly, trustworthy, wonderful to work with and cleaned up everyday so we could utilize the kitchen sink and live dust free. Nelson, the owner, stays on top of everything so the project is right on schedule. We liked him immediately. Love the beauty and quality of our new kitchen and highly recommend this business.
