They informed Dr. Ghanti and suggested I try to find another drugstore. I did within minutes but could only leave a message at Balcones Pain as they are now closed Friday afternoons. I did get an automatic response saying I would be contacted. They never contacted me. Since BP recently joined Capitol Pain I tried contacting them with the info they provided Thursday but got no response, except to say they would not fill prescriptions on weekends. I'm very disappointed. I've been a patient at BP since the mid 2000s and always felt good about their treatment and respect of me and my needs until now.

So it is too soon to say whether or not the treatment he will provide will help but I am very impressed by my first visit. He is the second pain specialist I have seen for my issues. Dr. Chen was extremely thorough and patiently took his time to explain my issues and options. This was a refreshing experience because my last pain specialist just wanted to rush me into injections and then offered no options but surgery when the first injection was unsuccessful. I will update as my care progresses but so far I give him an A+.

If you are dealing with back or hip pain or pain in general your body, I would highly recommend scheduling a visit through your doctor.

EVERYTHING!  I finally visited Dr. Marks. I was opposed to additional pain meds and he agreed. He was sympathetic, focused, and committed to reduce my pain. And the procedures we did worked!  There are no words I have to express my gratitude. He was attentive, and even better... the staff he surrounds himself with are also equally accessible and attentive. The communication is awesome. The vibe of his office is determined but relaxed with total dedication to patient well being.

At this point, I've had to escalate my concerns through state and federal complaint channels…read more I received excellent lupus care at the Georgetown office for years - Jordan is an outstanding provider, and the staff there has always treated me with care and dignity. Unfortunately this does not extend to the Round Rock location, where the rheumatology department has been transferred. Two visits to this office have jeopardized my entire treatment plan. First, they gave me another patient's private paperwork. Then, at my most recent appointment, I was only told after my vitals were taken that the visit would be conducted via telehealth. I had been told I'd be seeing a different PA since Jordan is out, but the provider I was scheduled with -- Jennifer Priestley -- I learned in the after care notes is actually an NP. Jennifer ignored the new symptoms I reported, and after I clearly requested FMLA documentation, she offered to go over the prior month's lab results and said that if I wanted to pursue FMLA, a PT would need to be involved (which isn't strictly true). When I became tearful at this, Jennifer asked if I was "seeing a therapist." I immediately walked out of the appointment because I didn't feel safe with her as a provider. After I left the appointment, Jennifer submitted a behavioral health referral. The medical notes I'm able to download inaccurately state that I consented to telehealth, that I "understood and agreed" to a treatment plan that doesn't exist, and that I consented to a therapy referral that was never discussed. They also claim the appointment lasted more than twice as long as it did, while omitting my new symptoms and my FMLA request. These inaccuracies were signed off by Dr. Pegram, making them part of my permanent medical record. My messages asking for clarification are being ignored and I'm now being treated as hostile simply for trying to protect my care. I'm being shut out of a medical practice I trusted, and I'm losing access to treatment for a life-altering disease - because I asked for help while my regular provider was out. Conversations with APC leadership are just as concerning. In discussing this issue with Jody Green, she said that I shouldn't have been scheduled with Jennifer because she doesn't have the same experience Jordan and Nicki have as PAs. The very next day, Jody told me that Nicki is a nurse. When it comes to my medical records, Jody said she sees my FMLA request on their end as well as some additional notes about my symptoms that are not true. When I asked for a copy of my full medical records, including this additional information, Jody said she would need to speak to APC's attorney before she would know if she could. I have yet to hear back from that conversation, as well as from the email I sent to her directly requesting my full medical records in writing, or from the other two emails I sent to the inbox address listed by her photo on the website. I also have 5 portal messages that are all unanswered (despite everyone I speak to saying they can see them). The negative reviews being dismissed on Google are an extension of the poor treatment patients receive at this location. Asking for a phone number publicly is not a real response - patients can't reply to these comments, and no one should be expected to post personal contact information online. It would take very little effort for APC staff to look up patients and reach out directly, or simply respond to portal messages. Patients with complex health conditions deserve safety, medical accuracy, and dignity. Instead, I've been left misrepresented in my records, denied proper care, and placed in a situation where my lupus treatment has ended. This has been one of the most distressing healthcare experiences of my life, and I urge other patients with chronic illnesses to avoid APC.

The front desk lady is fake and doesn't even pretend to be friendly if she doesn't know you. Some of the regulars she at least gave a veneer of friendly but if you have been in customer service for any number of years you can spot fake. I had to see an ER doctor after my first visit for something unrelated and they gave me a different pain med. Per the pain contract I had to let these people know and was told to not take it and on my next visit bring it in. The issue came when I ran out of the pain pill they gave me, I called with 3 to 4 days left of it and spoke to 3 or 4 people and got the run around. Basically told again not to take the pain med the ER gave me and they would see about a refill on the one they wanted me to take. By Friday I still didn't have an answer and they close at noon. I found out Monday they had sent it in but neither they nor the pharmacy let me know so I went Friday to Monday evening with no pain pills. I brought the pills to my follow up visit and they didn't even dispose of them which is why they asked me to bring them. The doctor now said if I ran out again I could take them and tell them which one works better!!!! Sadly I don't want to start all over and I like the doctor so for now I am sticking with them but if this continues I may not.

No longer recommend. Between the office experience and their office manager, Lauren, their…read morescheduling woman Sheila, and Dr. Singa himself, the service has drastically declined. There is a reason the other reviews echo the exact same sentiment. Lauren is rude and condescending and honestly, she has no clue what she is talking about half the time. They treat patients like transactions. That's it that's all. Last year, I ended up pregnant and miscarried but the way this practice treated me/the pregnancy/my other providers was honestly disgusting. Even then, I was receiving conflicting calls from different staff members having to repeat myself over and over again. There are several other pain management clinics to choose from. They lie about contacting you and when you show them they DIDN'T call you, they decide it's best you find care elsewhere. I bet. This is exactly what happened. I spoke with them on Tuesday the 3rd to schedule a follow up in March and by Wednesday the 4th they were saying I needed to be seen before my medicine could be refilled even though it was already due for fill and I was just seen last month claiming they called and left me message after message. Like I said, they seem desperate for money. As a manager myself, I see what is happening. Their employees are making activity notes as if they are doing their jobs but in fact, aren't. They don't like this being brought to light. Instead of taking accountability, they will make up more lies like "oh that's because so and so wasn't privy to that". However, if talking about an activity note that pops up on my account, ALL employees would be able to see this prior to scheduling an appt. Not to mention, THEY called me to schedule the March appointment. Not the other way around. They lie when it's convenient for them and fits their narrative. It's ironic that Dr. Singa would even have anything to say being that I haven't seen him personally since 2023. I was always pushed to his PA's. His prior PA Martin was very honest about how disorganized and chaotic this practice was/is which is why he left. His new PA Grace is lovely and I hope she makes it out of there asap.
