I sent a message via Yelp on a Sunday night and they immediately scheduled our oven troubleshooting for Monday afternoon. Their front office staff is incredibly responsive! George (technician) arrived timely and was very thorough. He explained things to me every step of the way. He is approaching this very methodically - ok, so it's not the igniter, let's look at the next link in the chain... I saw George called out by name in other Yelp reviews, and I understand why he comes so highly recommended! He called the manufacturer to discuss his findings, but the manufacturer tech team wasn't available. He let me know he would be calling them again in the morning and that he would reach out to me with an update. I've had plenty of negative or so-so experiences with other service technicians from other companies. This experience with George / Astera is so positive that I'm posting my review even before the service is completed. Astera will be getting first crack at all of my appliance and HVAC service calls going forward.

This company is GREAT! After another company replaced my furnace and messed it up by miss matching…read morethe plenum size and furnace I got McHenry to do it. The other furnace was crap and only lasted a year before the blower failed (because of the pressure miss match caused by the plenum mismatch). They replaced the furnace with a good one, AND got it up off the floor like it SHOULD have been. In addition to correcting the plenum, they put a NEW and correct filter housing on it. That doesn't seem like a big thing except the prior company had some dummy install a filter housing with the screws facing IN to the slot where the filter sits making it a real pain to replace. So ya, I definitely recommend them.

He would set my reg service appt, cancel or just not show up. This happened repeatedly for months. He wouldn't respond to a call or text. I have referred him to both friends and personal clients. But he did same to them. I thought maybe he was dealing with personal issues and gave grace for his lack of professionalism. I had to scramble to get another company and they're fine. But now I am having issue with a unit he installed and i cannot get a simple reply to a text regarding warranty. I have no idea what happened to this guy. I always paid at the time of service in full. His employees were great... But now I am at a loss with warranty issues because he doesn't reply. I've seen the truck occasionally so I know they are still in business. Totally unprofessional and not dependable at all. I don't recommend.
