I have been a client for a few years and have always enjoyed my deep tissue and therapeutic massages that have always got me through any physical issues that I have developed. My husband called to make my appointment and informed them that I was experiencing an especially painful bout of foot pain, so it was suggested that I meet Lenny Fassih their expert in plantar fasciitis . I meant Lenny Fassih and we consulted for some time and I explained everything that I was experiencing. Lenny listened patiently and then explained some interesting facts related to plantar fasciitis and additional methods that I could employed to assist in my recovery. He then proceeded to give me one of the best therapeutic massages that I have ever had. I requested deep tissue and it was great. Lenny spent at least 30 minutes on the foot that was in pain, and still had time to work the kinks out of the rest of my tight sore muscles. Stopping periodically to explain the musculature of each body part he was working on. Since that time I have experience a total recovery of my plantar fasciitis . As my massage therapist Andrew Emsley told me (paraphrased), if you go to a doctor who is trained in medicine, they are trained to fix you with medication. If you go to a chiropractor, they will adjust your spine. Now if you get a massage, you will receive a different approach - holistic healing. As a bass player of ten years, I have experienced a range of pain in my left shoulder, from a constant dull discomfort to an acute, excruciating pinch. It's not pleasant. The first time I experienced any relief was after the first time Andrew massaged me. He explained to me that the source of the pain is often not where you're experiencing it in your body. He worked on my collar bone and chest, saying that the front of my body was closed off from the forward and downward pulling of the weight of the instrument. Absolutely amazing! Highly recommend place and Jeanenne. Muscle knots have nowhere to hide from Jeanenne. My first time here, after reading yelp reviews, having recently tried 4 massage places (via Amazon, Groupon, or 1st time visit discount at a franchise), and in still desperate need of additional relief, I thought I try Optimal. At arrival, she offered me a drink (water, tea, etc.), and had me fill out 1 page form, nice and simple. I was then led to a cozy room, heated "recliner", and soothing music. The room had the perfect level of darkness for my eyes; my eyes were able to relax compared to some other places. Without knowing the areas of knots and tightness, Jeanenne found them all, worked her magic on them, and incorporated stretch techniques that I haven't experienced, but immensely grateful for the immediate relief, loosening and relaxing of my muscles and tendons. I can't say enough great things about Optimal Massage. Because of them, I have altered my view of massage - I no longer see it as just a luxury, I believe it can heal. After a series of massages with Lenny Fassih at Optimal (maybe around 5-6 over the course of a few months), I have experienced such improvement in my DeQuervain's tendonitis as to consider myself basically cured. I had very limited motion and lots of pain and had been contemplating surgery, but I'm so glad I tried massage first. Lenny is so good at targeting the muscles that need to just release. I have gained back all my range of motion and no longer have any pain except occasional twinges. Lenny Fassih is a truly fantastic massage therapist. His massages are far from generic - he really listens, adjusts pressure as needed, and will work on either the entire body or on specific areas, depending on what he finds. No two massages are the same with him which is something I really appreciate. I feel that he is able to find the areas that really need work and focus on them. His thorough understanding of anatomy goes beyond most massage therapists and allows him to work in very specific ways. I cannot recommend him highly enough. For my first time, everyone at Optimal was warm and welcoming. I had Paiget, who was one of the sweetest people I've met. She is very knowledgeable and can really work out tension I didn't even know I had. She found knots I didn't know existed! My biggest regret was doing metered parking and not opting for a longer session. To top it off, I received a nice follow up postcard from her a couple of days later. I highly recommend them! However, parking is tricky because of their location, you have a couple of choices that are in walking distance (off-street, metered, or a parking garage), but don't use the lot across from them or your car can be towed during business hours since it's not affiliated with Optimal. read more

I could not write enough good things about this place! For Christmas I decided to get my boyfriend a gift certificate for a massage. The problem was I had no idea where to get one from. I have been receiving massages from Optimal Massage for several years now. I started to go when I developed a calf cramp due to overuse of the muscle during training. My current massage therapist is Mike Romero. I cannot say enough positive things about him or Optimal Massage, but here goes. First, stepping into the facility is a mini-vacation. While I was a bit nervous at first -- my first massage! -- Keith made me feel more comfortable by finding common interests. Turns out that we read some of the same books! Optimal truly is a hidden gem in West Chester. As soon as you walk in, you know you're in a good hands. I'm a very frequent gym goer and to be at my peak I really need to make sure my body is mechanically sound. I've worked with Keith twice and he is phenomenal. Keith is very respectful, knowledgeable, and gave me some pointers for stretching at the end of my visit. I was all knotted up in my back and he really helped me break up some muscle adhesions. My experience at Optimal massage on Valentines day was awesome (-: the space is beautiful, relaxing, clean and soothing. I met with Keith and my valentine with Jeanine. I appreciated how down to earth and naturally caring they were. During my massage I was in heaven, these people are skilled and know what they're doing! Probably the best massage I have ever had. I have been receiving frequent massages from Kim for over 2 years now and with her patient and diligence, I have had relief from an old rotator cuff injury now for 1 1/2 years. Booked a 90 minute Deep muscle massage with Keith. Arrived on time and Keith was waiting. I had him concentrate on my neck and rotator cuff primarily. The rooms are decorated in warm, cozy colors. I just relaxed and had him dig in. I like deep muscle and strong pressure since my shoulders, neck and IT bands are always sore due to playing volleyball all the time. I highly recommend Keith. When I left, I was relaxed and feeling great. Those areas that he worked on were sore a little the next day, but I am used to that. You can't go wrong. A++ Outstanding 90 min. Optimal massage today with Lenny Fassih. He really did an excellent job finding and working on my "knots"/pressure points in my shoulders. Lenny found the causes of my neck pain and skillfully used his expertise to reduce the pain. He recommended shoulder and hip exercises as well as a follow-up visit to a chiropractor(I requested). He weaved reflexology into his massage which was beneficial. I've had many massages over the decades from numerous massage therapists and Lenny ranks at the top! I've been to Krissy three times already and she is excellent!!! Coming from a background with a mother who does body work, and having gotten hundreds of massages in my lifetime, I can say that Krissy truly has a healing hands.
