Just "graduated" from close to 9 months of physical therapy after a surgery. Went for treatment…read moreevery week, sometimes twice a week, from being immobile (after surgery) to now fully mobile with excellent range of motion, and knowledge of how to maintain the health of the muscles and bones, with correct exercise. It took some time but it is all worthwhile because it is for my health. Everyone in the office, from administrative staff to the therapists, was very friendly and helpful. All the therapists were knowledgeable and very patient. The massage that they did was crucial and helpful as part of the healing journey. I had experience in a couple of other places before I came to B&C, and B&C has been the best & would wholeheartedly recommend this facility.

I'm happy to have found B&C PT and that they accept my health insurance. I've been here twice and…read morecan sense an improvement in this nagging neck pain of mine. The clinic has a small gym upfront with treatment tables in the back. Super convenient location in Alhambra with a 4-hr free parking garage. B&C PT is extremely popular and books out weeks in advance. I had to wait ~3-4 weeks for my initial appt, and had to book all my subsequent appts following my first visit to secure dates/times. I work primarily with Ching Ly (the C of B&C lol) and he's super down to earth. He did a comprehensive exam of my neck, measured my neck movements with a goniometer, and confirmed if it was a joint or muscle issue. I've seen several PTs, but no one was as thorough as Ching in trying to figure out the root cause. My treatment plan is pretty straightforward - Managing neck pain with manual therapy, at-home workouts, and then more workouts to strengthen neck, shoulder, and back muscles. If I had to nitpick then it would be the super tedious process of booking upcoming appointments with the front desk receptionist. Nothing PT related. Highly recommend B&C PT! I hope to be free of this annoying pain by the end of my sessions.

Jeffery is very knowledgeable and patient! Took his time to assess my complaints/injury every…read moresingle time. Had about 6 sessions and every session he showed the same diligence in his assessments. He would take videos of my run form, give feedback and explain why certain movements can cause muscles strain/ discomfort! I had persistent knee pain that would not go away. I've tried massage, acupuncture, rest, stretching but nothing would resolve the issue. After 2 sessions with Jeffery, I started noticing significant improvement with pain relief and run performance. Every session Jeffery would build on the exercise and send videos/training schedule on an app. The app was very helpful, with daily reminders for exercises and help me adhere to my rehab goals. I've been pain free after my 6 session and would likely return for sessions to help with performances /strengthening exercises

I was referred to Dr. Jeffery Su by my partner, who found him via Yelp. I decided to go with Dr. Su…read moreafter researching all of my physical therapist options through my health insurance and found that they all had terrible Yelp reviews. The reason my partner liked Dr. Su was because he actually tries to help you without roping you into seeing him multiple times just to get money out of you, which I found to be very true - he was able to fix me in just 3 sessions. Paying the $165 per session out of pocket (still FSA/HSA eligible though), was well worth the money in my opinion because I was desperate to get better from my pickleball injury and get back to playing ASAP. Before coming to Dr. Su, I was trying to diagnose myself with ChatGPT and was following their prescribed regimen to heal myself. I wish I had gone to Dr. Su earlier because he was able to diagnose my issue in the first session and give me actionable strengthening exercises (he posts all the assigned exercises, with instructional videos, on the PtEverywhere App) to provide me with some immediate relief from the pain. Dr. Su said that I had strained my (sacrotuberous) ligament, which ChatGPT said would take 4-6 weeks to heal. After religiously doing my strengthening exercises for 4 weeks, I found that my pain was low enough to where Dr. Su approved my slow return to Pickleball and Aerial Silks (he's incredibly responsive via text). I found that as I would play, the same right side was continuing to give me trouble. So I went back to see him a 2nd time. At this session he was able to diagnose that my right hip was super tight and was impeding my recovery - he wasn't able to discover that during the first session because I was in so much pain that he was only focused on fixing that first. He used a strap to pull on my right hip to gain some mobility back, but it barely moved. The next couple of days I was incredibly sore but continued to religiously complete my newly assigned strengthening exercises along with foam rolling (if he forgets to posts the exercises on the app, just text him and he'll post them right away). Whatever he did to me, worked because by the 3rd day, my pain was gone! That along with the foam rolling was probably exactly what I needed too because I was able to easily move into my right front split without the tightness I had been experiencing for years! My follow-up appointment was a week and a half later with Dr. Su and I had no pain to report to him. He tested my right hip again and was able to finally get the head of my right femur to actually "bounce"/move normally during this 3rd session. He taught me some lifetime maintenance and strengthening exercises for my overall health and longevity for playing pickleball, which he posted on the app. He also sent me some links to adjustable home weights to help me save space in my apartment. I generally have trouble sticking to self-guided workouts but Dr. Su simplified them to just 25 minutes of exercises, twice a week. Hey - if that's all I need to keep playing pickleball without injury for the rest of my life, I'm sold. Sign me up!

That's when, I noticed that it was fractured first time that I break a bone in my life didn't even know. It took 2-3 weeks to get someone to approve my Medi-Cal Program with OmniCare Medical ‍ I'am really happy to have been able to get an appointment with them today at 1:30p.m. Todays date is 6/4/2024 Thank you Jessica! I got a referral from my GP and eventually got sent here. I saw Dr. Perrone who was sharp as a tack…read moreand told me I had osteoarthritis and would benefit from surgical intervention if I chose to. I told him I was doing yoga 2-3 times per week, walking 30 minutes everyday and on my feet walking everyday at work. I ice and use NSAIDS as prescribed. Ultimately, he gave me a cortisone injection and said follow up after getting an off loading brace and we will see where we are at. I got the brace and wear it everyday at work and continued with the rest of my regiment. I followed up with Dr. Perrone and I told him I was on board with the MISCHA implant he mentioned, he had me sign something with MISCHA on it and said the MISCHA team would be in touch with me. However, he told me if I had any questions to call Sal Romero, his Surgical Coordinator, and he would answer any questions I had. (He also gave me one more cortisone injection which I asked for) That's where the problem began: I called and spoke with Sal Romero ONCE and he said the MISCHA team would be discussing my case - along with other patients- the following week. 5 weeks later and I never heard back from Sal or anyone at Dr. Perrone's office. I left Sal at least 5 voicemails, 3 emails and maybe even a text message and not one response. I am absolutely disappointed with the level of care I received after my follow up appointment with Dr. Perrone and I can say that the follow up from Sal Romero was pathetic. Even more disappointing is no one from the office has ever contacted me about my concerns or supposed surgery. Here is another hoot, I called my insurance company and they said that after speaking with Optum... no authorization for surgery was ever requested from Dr. Perrones office. I was surprised at that bit of information and eventually went back to my primary to get another orthopedic referral. I can tell you that this group is well regarded by many but I can tell you that's not always true and be careful dealing with this group. Best of luck.
