Recently I injured my back by visiting a Reflexology Salon near my home. A Friend recommended Dr. Holmes so I started my treatments with her. She did an amazing job with my back, in 2 months I was better than before. As I was there I noticed she also helps with other health issues, so I inquired about helping with my sugar (I'm diabetic). My A1C had been at 13% for the past year. Dr. Holmes recommended a 21 day cleanse (detox). I followed her advice to the T. In approximately 1 1/2 months my A1C dropped 4%. It was amazing how it dropped to 9%. 2 months later I asked if she can now assist me in losing weight. I had reached a plateau of 164 lbs and couldn't seem to drop my last 30 as I wanted. Dr. Holmes and her staff know what the heck they're doing! I was unfortunatley injured on the job, on two different occasions, one including being actually hit by a full size truck. If any of you are familiar with Worker's Comp, you know many times you do not get the best care. I've been treated by so many "mill" places and very few good doctors, like that of Holmes. In my first visit with Dr. Holmes, I knew this practice was special, and within my first round of treatment, though painful in a good way, I almost instantly felt a big difference to my chronic condition. I've been seeing Dr. Holmes for two weeks now, as she started me on the Ideal Protein diet! I haven't been for an alignment or massage, though I'm really tempted towards the latter. It's a small office, with some parking in the back. Go past the office if you're heading west and turn onto Ferdinand. Take the right into the alleyway and you'll find the parking behind the building. Also, parking on that small street is convenient if there's no place in the lot. Upon entering for the first time, I noticed that the waiting room was busy... Even though my appointment was at six at night. I don't think the staff is especially efficient (from what little I've interacted with them), but they're very friendly. And everybody greets everybody else by name or with some other affectionate hello. This place inspires repeat customers. Also, Dr. Holmes hosts workshops. There was one yesterday for a pressure point massage which looked intriguing, though I didn't attend. I am, however, going to go to the Ideal Protein workshop this weekend (Saturday) to get some information for people I think would benefit from the program. Wait time is a little long. Both times I've been to her office I've had to wait from 15-30 minutes. But it's worth it. Dr. Holmes really has a compassionate "bedside manner," and seems genuinely interested in all her patients and staff. Going back next week! read more

This medical facility is just focused on making money. They truly don't care about patients. Doctor Holmes sees you once then every session nurses will come and put hot towel on you with very basic treatment. Devices are old , staff are not caring and overall owner is extremely greedy to charge insurance . You will never get a full treatment if you are in an accident or have sever issue, unless you go there 5 times more that what you really need to. I was in a car accident where my car was totaled. My first stop was to Dr. Holmes because headaches started almost immediately. I have been seeing Dr. Holmes for almost 30 years on and off and I trust her implicitly. The first thing she told me was to get a lawyer since this was a workers comp case. She said I would not get proper treatment without one. She also told me that workers comp would be the one to choose my doctor, and it most likely wouldn't be her since she is not on their "list". Workers Comp chooses doctors that work for THEIR best interest, not ours. Her exam of me also gave her concern about traumatic brain injury. Well, Dr. Holmes was right about everything. I was stupid, and having brain injury, I was not thinking clearly. I did not get a lawyer, and two months later I'm in pain, having horrible migraines (I don't have a history of headaches) and all workers comp is giving me is acupuncture. WTF? I asked them to take tests and x-rays; they would do nothing. They were actually hurting me. Some of the employees and one of the doctors at the clinic I was sent to quietly told me I would not get proper treatment because all the clinic was concerned about was making money (Concentra - run from them!) I would call Dr. Holmes for advice, and she took the time to lay out how messy a workers comp claim is in CA. I finally relented and got a lawyer, who arranged for MRI's. As it turns out, Dr. Holmes was right about everything. Multiple MRI's show I have traumatic brain injury, torn disks in my back and neck, and in need of cognitive therapy. The process is slow, and the insurance lawyers deny everything, and are not paying for any treatment - just like Dr. Holes said would happen. She keeps telling me to have patience because this is how CA's system works. I now gladly pay out of pocket to see Dr. Holmes while my case is winding through the court system. If I need help and there is no one I trust more than Dr. Holmes and her kind staff. Because of covid, the wait is a little longer, but that's to be expected as her and her staff keep everyone safe, and I appreciate the time she takes to explain everything to me. If it hadn't been for Dr. Holmes expertise, I would be in worse shape than I am thanks to the corrupt workers comp system, and I would have gone through life not knowing I have traumatic brain injury. read more

What a difference one visit made! Before my first session I could barely walk or sit due to pain in my lower back. Now I am walking straight and sitting normally! REturning patient. Monday evening I displaced my knee at the gym stepping on someones mess (typical gym rats). My knee was locked. I made it to urgent care but they directed me to ER. ER took xrays and told me it was only a sprain. I knew it was not right. I couldn't straighten my leg and was in immense pain. ER tried to force my leg in to a straight leg splint but because my knee was locked it wouldn't go and created more pain. Next day, I called Dr Holmes for advice and she was more than sympathetic to see me even with her booked schedule. I received treatment right away to decrease the swelling and was able to adjust the knee. That day, I went from extreme pain and zero pressure on the leg to being able to walk through my front door. Dr. Holmes is the best. She takes her time with you and gives you recommendations to help you heal. My mother has a spine de generation disease. She is constantly major pain and the more pain she is in the lower her head hangs and she has very slow and Ridgid movements in her hands and arms due to the pain. Dr. Holmes told me about CBD oil. I gave my mom 2 drops and within 20 minutes her head was straight, she has smooth movement in her hands and arms and was able to work on her crafts. This lasted for about 4 hours which was awesome. She doesn't get that kind of relief with her Vicodin. She is much more Mobil now using the CBD Oil. Thank you Dr. Holmes. read more

She is VERY professional and knowledgeable. i was looking for a biophysics chiropractor as I have felt this method more effective for my issues. They took X-rays and put me on a regimen of stretching a traction (which I can do at home, too) to help prolong the benefits of the adjustment. The masseuses are excellent and competitively priced. In addition, Holmes Chiropractic is also a holistic health center. When I had stomach problems, her nutritionist put me on an enzyme supplement regimen, which was unbelievably effective.
