I…read moredid not receive the quality of care or customer service I would expect from a high-end physical therapy establishment and would not recommend it. The first package I purchased at Dang PT working with Dean was great and I didn't experience any customer service issues. Towards the end of my time with Dean, I experienced an injury that prompted me to seek orthopedic care again. My doctor recommended a different PT establishment, where I received care for several months. After I completed my package there, I returned to Dang PT. This was when I started experiencing customer service and quality of care issues. My first unsavory experience was when I bought my second PT package. They showed me the wrong price sheet. I selected a 14-session package @ $190/session and paid $500 towards the expected $2,660 cost. Later, I received a charge of $1,508 and contacted them via text to clarify the price breakdown. I do not know which employee was responding via this line, so I'm referring to the responder as they/them. They told me the 14-session package should actually be $2,739.80. Thankfully, I had a timestamped photo of the incorrect price sheet. Eventually, they agreed to honor the price I was shown, but it was unsavory that I had to resolve a mistake made on their end. After this incident, it felt like they held a grudge against me. For instance, I had trouble using the parking code they provided for the adjacent lot and texted them for help. I didn't get an answer, and when I followed up, they said they're a small business and can't really control parking. I understand they don't own the machines or lot, but their response didn't address my question and made it sound like I was unreasonable for asking for help. I'm not sure how being a small business exempts them from providing customer service or answering questions. Another unsavory experience was when I emailed my PT and never received a response. I reached out to Dang PT via text on 12/28/2025 to ask how I could contact my PT directly because I did not know who I was communicating with on the text line. They provided my PT's email. I emailed my PT on 12/30/2025 for clarification on my exercises and to provide feedback on my sessions, and they never responded. I verified several times that I had entered the email exactly as provided. I continued to see my therapist well into 2026 and never received a response, nor was my feedback taken into account. After this, my customer service experience had become so unsavory that it made me anxious to raise concerns again. Even when I had tried to ask questions and provide feedback, nothing changed. I was also locked into a package, so it felt futile to mention anything more. Essentially, I had to eat the cost of the remainder of my package despite the subpar care and customer service because I did not feel I could ask questions or get meaningful support. I continued my care with my PT, but ultimately requested to cancel the rest of my package due to a private matter, which I disclosed to them. I had used 12/14 sessions. At about 7:45 PM, I asked if they could cancel the remainder by adjusting my 12 completed visits to the 10-session package rate of $195/session. This would have been a $60 charge to me. Around 10 PM, they instead proposed adjusting the 12 visits to a 10-session package at $195/session, then charging the last 2 as individual visits at $250/session. They asked me to confirm so they could process it. I planned to respond the next morning, but before 7 AM they texted me that my refund had been processed. My partner and I found it very odd that they processed the refund before I could respond, despite asking me to confirm. Ultimately, they charged me double what I had proposed to get out of my package. Given that I have spent several thousands of dollars there, I found it nitpicky that they charged the last two visits at $250 instead of $195 - it almost felt like retaliation. However, I am happy to pay their proposed fee to not have to step foot in their establishment again. Overall, there are plenty of high-end physical therapy establishments in Los Angeles, and Dang PT does not meet the mark. I'm not sure why the decline in quality of care and customer service happened, but I saw it and so did my partner. I felt excluded from the "highest quality of care" they advertise on their website and the "relaxed, welcoming" environment they describe on their Instagram. I thank Dang PT for the contributions they made to my mobility, but ultimately, I'm disappointed in my experience here. I think this establishment has a lot of potential. They have knowledgeable physical therapists who can support clients with pain, recovering from surgery, and more. I hope they take this feedback and improve how they interact with their clients.

Every single person seeing them has gotten stronger, fixed their injury and enjoyed their time. Fast forward to reactivating a knee injury. I knew who to trust-who would not just rehab the injury but also make me a stronger and better athlete. I cannot thank Dr Denise and the whole crew. He's extremely bright, friendly, and truly understands how to make therapy functional and tailored to real-world movement.   From day one, he took the time to explain what was going on with my injury, why certain exercises mattered, and how to progress safely without setbacks. He's encouraging without being pushy, and he strikes the perfect balance between challenging you and keeping things realistic. I've made more progress with him in a short period of time than I have with any other PT. If you want someone who actually listens, knows what they're doing, and genuinely cares about your recovery. I told him I was doing yoga 2-3 times per week, walking 30 minutes everyday and on my feet walking everyday at work. I ice and use NSAIDS as prescribed. Ultimately, he gave me a cortisone injection and said follow up after getting an off loading brace and we will see where we are at. I got the brace and wear it everyday at work and continued with the rest of my regiment. I followed up with Dr. Perrone and I told him I was on board with the MISCHA implant he mentioned, he had me sign something with MISCHA on it and said the MISCHA team would be in touch with me. However, he told me if I had any questions to call Sal Romero, his Surgical Coordinator, and he would answer any questions I had. (He also gave me one more cortisone injection which I asked for) That's where the problem began: I called and spoke with Sal Romero ONCE and he said the MISCHA team would be discussing my case - along with other patients- the following week. 5 weeks later and I never heard back from Sal or anyone at Dr. Perrone's office. I left Sal at least 5 voicemails, 3 emails and maybe even a text message and not one response. I am absolutely disappointed with the level of care I received after my follow up appointment with Dr. Perrone and I can say that the follow up from Sal Romero was pathetic. Even more disappointing is no one from the office has ever contacted me about my concerns or supposed surgery. Here is another hoot, I called my insurance company and they said that after speaking with Optum... no authorization for surgery was ever requested from Dr. Perrones office. I was surprised at that bit of information and eventually went back to my primary to get another orthopedic referral. I can tell you that this group is well regarded by many but I can tell you that's not always true and be careful dealing with this group. Best of luck.

She continues to earn the respect, not only of her peers, but of the many people she has successfully treated, across the country. I am one of those people. Don't let her kind demeanor and youthful appearance fool you. Dr. Lafebvre is a titan in her field. I met with Dr. Lafebvre to discuss an ongoing and rapidly escalating pain in my hand. I had been dealing with this issue for at least 4 years. I met with other doctors and none of them were able to diagnose it properly. I was told it was probably a carpal tunnel issue, though i did not test well enough to prove a surgery was necessary. I was then told it might be arthritis. I was later told it was either residual pain from sleeping wrong or I was develooping neuropathy. Basically, all the dctors I'd seen were not listening to me and they all got it wrong. I was going through waves of pain that were excruciating, like my hand was being smashed in a vice. Some periods of time, the pain would disappear and I'd go on with life as if nothing happened. It was a strange phenomenon. Dr. Lafbvre met with me briefly for the first time. She asked me a few questions and immediately ordered an MRI. I had my MRI that day. The next day, she called to tell me the MRI confirmed her suspicions that I had an infection deep in my hand. It could have hung out in my hand for years, and just subsided when I took antibiotics for other issues. Although she is a very popular doctor and overbooked, at that, she scheduled me for surgery that week - three days after my initial visit! The infection turned out to be a bit more complex and detailed than expxected, but Dr. Lafebvre was extremely successful in removing the infection. She made such fine incisions that only 4 weeks out of surgery, my incisions are smooth and rapidly fading! I can bet the incisions will hardly be noticeable in a few more months - and these were pretty long incisions on the top and bottom part of my hand and wrist! Dr. Lafebvre is so invested in my care that she meets with me weekly to check the status of my hand. She is continues to observe and analyze the cultures taken from surgery, far beyond what is considered to be medically necessary. She chooses to err on the side of conservative, continuing to study the cultures, because of the atypical nature of this infection. I can tell her goal is to put my mind at ease, knowing that we've completely eliminated the infection. It is so comforting to have faith and confidence that your doctor is not ony extremely capable but personally invested in doing their absolute best work to make you whole again. I am so grateful to Dr. Lafbvre. After the 4 year nightmare of being handed over from one doctor to another who took very little interest in addressing my issue, Dr. Lafebvre dove into my case within seconds of meeting, and repaired me all within a week. She fully invested herself in my case. I had maybe two days of downtime after surgery, at most. I am looking at close to nothing for a scar. Most importantly, I have my full range of motion back and no pain!!! Don't waste your time with surgeons that make you feel uncomfortable in any way. Trust your gut. Go to see Dr; Lafbrve. She is in a league above the rest and her work is proof of the heart she puts into treating every one of her patients.

I had plateaued at 5.12a on sport, 5.11a on trad, and V4/5 bouldering. After a year working with him on movement, timing, sequencing, and strength I got my onsight level to V4/5 and sent a few V7's. One of which I did in one session at the Tramway. Additionally I onsighted 3x 5.11d's in Mallorca and linked all the moves on a 5.12c/d at echo cliffs. I'd been looking for a coach who understands movement and training for years. Working with Climbing Machines has definitely improved my climbing significantly and has given me the tools to continue to progress.

I've been climbing for around 4.5 years and I'm looking forward to seeing how these targeted workouts help my climbing, once the gyms open back up. It was to the point where I felt like my calves were bursting and couldn't really wear pants. I saw a neurologist, vein, cardiologist, and even went to physical therapist and did every exam under the moon and no one could figure my pain out. I got the point where I threw so much money at doing all sorts of exams, I really had nothing to lose by visiting a chiropractor to help manage my pain. BEST DECISION EVER. After a session with Dr Levy, the pain started to subside. After a few sessions, the pain was subsiding in longer time increments. Now, I have general relief. No more calf pain after long-haul flights, and I don't have the kind of activity restrictions I used to anymore. I can go on long-haul flights knowing my calves won't kill me and can sit for longer periods of time without worrying about my legs swelling up. Dr Levy does more than just back adjustments. I searched for "the best" surgeon for my shoulder replacement, driving to East LA then Pasadena…read morefrom Santa Barbara to see him (2.5 hours in traffic.) I am a knowledgeable medical consumer, and I was impressed by both his long experience and manner. However, my shoulder replacement is one of his failures and I am left with 30% use of my arm. Even Dr. I said "I am sorry you were part of my learning curve." I WENT TO HIM BECAUSE OF HIS EXPERIENCE! It turns out he didn't realize the prosthesis was too large, which he only discovered during surgery number 2 to correct what he thought was a tendon rubbing against the implant. By then it was too late. I recovered from that surgery only to find that I still have poor ROM and constant pain. What still bothers me is how he could not know the implant was too large. Weren't he and his team supposed to plan out the surgery using information from the CAT scan to avoid such an occurrence? It took 11 months of repeated agonizing weeks during which I could not drive, care for myself, or even cut my own food before he decided to operate again. That was 7 months ago and I know now I will forever be in pain and have limited motion as a result of the shoulder replacement. I only discovered this when I finally sought another surgeon's input and upon viewing my x-rays, he was able to explain why I continue to have pain and poor use of my arm. Oh, and I also have tingling in my fingers since surgery #1. I can barely type. And I'm a writer. As horrible as my surgical experience was, getting though to him or to his people and going for appointments was even worse. I'd wait days for a call back, which often was simply ignored. If he hadn't given me his cell phone number I never would have gotten through. I only texted him when I was in agony and he responded "your nerves are on fire." That was November. I had the second surgery in March. So you can see how slowly things progressed. Sure he's affable. And you can't argue with his resume. But I am not one of his wins. For the rest of my life, I will be crippled due to his failure.

I was in my 20's in 1987 when I had my ACL tear with no insurance. I depended on the LA County…read moresystem at USC to repair my knee and get on with my life. After being looked at by seemingly every intern at USC the prognosis was a torn cartilage. The cure was arthroscopic surgery to remove the tear. The day of my surgery was here after 9 months still not meeting my surgeon. After 2 minutes with Dr Vangsness he knew it was a torn ACL which at the time was not able to be replaced using arthoscopy. So I rescheduled and a week later had the surgery. After 6 months (which was typical at the time) I was back to work. That surgery kept my knee going strong for 30 years of abuse until recently needing a knee replacement from a cartilage and meniscus tear. But I am so greatfull for the service Dr Vangsnesses ACL he gave me( which is still ingenious geat shape according to my doctor in Las Vegas). Thank you Dr V!! Dan Hogan
