I came in for a brow wax on a Friday afternoon. The place was empty so I was welcomed in immediately by three really friendly girls who got me right in the chair. They were very nice and my brows turned out beautifully, however there were a few things that struck me as a little strange. First of all, I felt pressured into getting an upper lip wax because the girl doing my wax told me in no uncertain terms "you need it", which I felt was a little unnecessary. Secondly, there was a decent strip of skin above my right eyelid that got ripped off, which hasn't happened anywhere else. Overall a nice, clean, fast place that does good work, but just a few things that bothered me about it. read more

I would give this place 0 stars if I could. Went in for lash clusters and knew right away this place wasn't legit when the lady took out drug store eye lash clusters and super glued them to my eyes. During the process of her putting them on she got glue in my eyes multiple times to the point where I couldn't stop crying. She told me my eyes were watering cause this was my first time getting them done there. But every time i have had them done at other places this has never happened. My eyes immediately turned bloodshot from the glue she happened to get in them. Now three days later I'm left with swollen, blood shot, and rash ridden eyes. I have never been in this much pain and I've been in the ICU 3 times. I am contemplating suing this place I doubt they even have lash tech licenses. I could have gone and done them myself for half the price and none of the pain. Gonna head to the eye doctors today! read more

The staff is always super friendly & there's never more than a 10 min wait, even with being a walk-in when they're busy. They're about 25 minutes from me now but worth the drive! Had been going here for a year. And today I only had time to do my lip. I wear glasses so my eye brows not being done is not a big deal to me. I always get them threat and tinted. Today, however, I respectfully decline their eye brow service and they were so cold. The lady that normally doesn't do my eye brows keeping asking me if I wanted them done. I told her no about three times. It was very uncomfortable. They always try to up-sell the service I go in for. When I walked out they were rude because I would not do my eye brows. I loved this place! My regular eyebrow stylist was booked therefore I was looking for an alternative. I walked in and I was greeted immediately which is always a nice thing. I told the expert Kate that I wanted waxing and she asked if I had ever done threading and I said oh no, i am fine. Kate then explained the benefits of threading and how it is better than waxing and last longer. After a while, I said yes and tried it. I am glad I tried it because it is waaaay better than waxing. I visited optimal eyebrow threading today and had a very positive experience! My service was quick and exactly what I wanted!

Their prices are the lowest I've ever paid! Went to get my eyebrows threaded, but left with eyebrows threaded and tinted, and my upper lip done. While their work is great, I was incredibly pressured to keep paying for services that I did not want. I was told that I really needed these things done in a way that made me feel self-conscious. I understand the idea of up-selling but the snarky comments she made to get me to pay for more things was a little too much. My sister went a few weeks later (after I had warned her not to pay for something she didn't want done) and she said she had agreed to getting her eyebrows threaded, tinted and upper lip done, but all of a sudden they started putting fake lashes on her! Again, while she said they looked great, they began to do that without her permission and she had to pay for it. If you choose to go here, DO NOT let them talk you in to unnecessary services that just rack up your bill. I plan on returning since it's very close to my house and decently priced but will make sure I specify the only services I want done and will not pay for anything more. read more

Will not be returning. I went in just to get my eyebrows threaded and was pressured to get them tinted...big mistake WAY to dark. I should have stuck with my gut and said no. Great job threading but to much pressure to do other services. Not what I want to deal with when I just want my brows done. Love how the owner thinks its funny. read more

They do a nice job of eyebrow threading but their customer service needs some help. EVERY time I have gone they try to get me to tint my brows (which are lighter but I fill them in) and thread my upper lip. I respectfully decline every time and each time that I do I'm given a disapproving look or they ask me if I'm sure. It is uncomfortable and I'm sure that I am not the only person experiencing this. My experience with this place is not what I have heard from others. I had my eye lashes and brow tinting and threading done. The next day the lashes came off. I left a review so the manager called me and said they would re-do them. I went in to have them re-done and they came off before the end of that day. So it's like a big joke or like they were doing it on purpose to make sure they weren't going to stay. The point is that I paid for them and I like the way they look but not if they only stay one day?!! I even followed all of their rules! read more

I have been to Optimal 3x. The first for eyebrow threading, the next for threading and tinting (b/c they routinely try to talk you into more services!), and today again for threading and tinting. Although my first two visits were overall positive, today that was unfortunately not the case. I could be wrong, but it seemed that my technician was new to the art of tinting. I can't tell for sure, because they were speaking to each other in a different language, but it seemed she was asking questions throughout the tinting, and the other technician periodically checked on her work. She left the tint on longer than I recall during my last visit, and in fact several hours later, my left lashes/lid are still burning a bit, which is concerning me. Furthermore, when I got home, there was tint on my skin under both eyes - a subtle shadow of sorts. I immediately called the store and they advised me to use soap and water, and if that didn't work, then makeup remover. I tried both, but nothing worked. So I called back and they told me to return to the store so they could use a tint remover. I went right back, and the "lead" technician removed the tint on my skin. But this time she only had a face mask, and not her shield. Furthermore, at one point, 3 technicians were standing over me, none with shields (only face masks). And although there are signs throughout about washing hands between customers, my original technician went from me, to another customer, and back to me, and I'm not convinced she washed her hands. Furthermore, although the signs say to wait in your car until a seat is available, they routinely tell customers to take a seat and wait in the waiting area of the shop, which is tiny. At one point, I'm pretty sure there were 8+ people in quite close quarters. After all of that, including a second trip back to fix the mistaken skin tinting, they barely apologized and offered nothing in terms of a refund or a free future visit or anything. Although their price is great and it's overall convenient, sadly, I will not be returning. At this point, I'm just crossing my fingers that the burning on my left eye lashes/lid stops soon, and desperately hoping I don't get sick! I feel there is more they could be doing in terms of temperature checks and taking more precautions in general, given how close they have to get to accurately work on brows and lashes. Ugh. Oh, another example. They have pens in a cup that say sanitized, but I'm 99% sure people are using the pens and just putting them right back in, with no sanitizing occurring. On the surface, it looks like safety measures are in place, but if you look closely, a lot of it seems like a facade, I'm sorry to say. :-( read more
