I have gone to this place for years, this time was to a newer person. I asked her for eyebrow threading, no tinting. She asked about tinting again and I said no- just threading to clean up my eyebrows. I left the chair, missing a chunk from one of my eyebrows that they told me was not there when I arrived. They offered to fix it with brow tinting, which I declined. That was the only offer to solve the problem that they provided. I still paid for my service and I left. I am so disappointed. read more

These are my ladies forever!!! not only are the prices actually reasonable, but they're all very kind as well! Three years ago when I started coming here they had way less staff and no music or anything so it's fun seeing how they've grown (but they've ALWAYS been worth It!) I usually get my brow and lip threaded and I make an appointment because I get my lashes tinted and lifted (goodbye eye makeup! Wooo!) I've seen a couple complaints I want to address because they annoy me: - small parking lot: that's not true. There's a giant parking lot, it's literally next to a McDonald's - not being able to request specific people: just make an appointment. You can ask on the phone when the person you want to do your services works and request them - being pressured into other services: I hate to say it but that's business. They're gonna ask if you want other services. It's as simple as learning to say "no, thank you". I do it every time and we still have a great relationship because we're both respectful! hope this helps! read more

I loved coming to Optimal Eyebrow Threading to get my eyebrows done. It was one of the first places I discovered when I moved to Columbus and enjoyed their services but I think things have gone downhill over the past few years. The parking lot is small but you'll notice they have a sign out front stating that threading is "8.99" but that's not including tax. I came in on Saturday and there was only one other person in the sitting area but all three workers were occupied. No biggie, I wrote my name down and waited for my turn. As I was waiting, it started to get busier and I could tell the workers were beginning to get flustered. When it was my turn, the lady who did my threading was doing it so rushed to the point where she made me slightly bleed and didn't even apologize for it. I also asked for my eyebrows to be tinted (which I have done before). She applied the dye and asked me to go pay and take a seat in the waiting area. This process usually takes around 5ish minutes and then someone comes and wipes it off. Not this time. After 15 minutes I was still waiting with the dye on my face until the gentleman behind the checkout counter told her something in a foreign language. Overall, I think this place has great potential but they need to 1. Hire more staff or 2. Not be so rushed when they begin to start getting busy. I come here for eyebrows maybe 6 times a year. They do a good job for eyebrows (which is actually 10 NOT 7.99) overall but I am leaving a 2/5 specifically because they get VERY UPSET when you ask to do your eyebrows with a specific person. I assume because they are "losing time" in which they can perform services for everyone who walks in. However I think this is completely unfair. I should be able to ask for service from someone I completely trust, especially in the beauty industry. I even ask for them by name so next time I can come get my eyebrows done with that one person which I think is a compliment and builds consistent business. But then after waiting a few times in general, they are completely rude and rush through when performing the service and throughout the payment process. It just makes me never want to come here often but I have to because they are the only eyebrow salon I can find in this area. I hope they take my review seriously and change their mindset as this has not only happened to me but also my sister and her friends who visit even more regularly than I do. read more

Can I say ... SMOOOOOOOOOOTH?! Came here for a brazilian deal on Groupon and ended up doing both the brazilian and also getting a lash tint. Looks to be a family owned business, but not sure. Definitely privately owned that's for sure, so I'm happy to be supporting a small business. This little shop is nothing froofy, but offers excellent prices and QUICK service! The lash tint is such a good deal! I haven't found a cheaper place for this service so I had never tried it before. It didn't take very long and turned my lashes a luscious black, which is AWESOME because I don't like to wear mascara so this will be AWESOME to just use a curler and BAM! My Groupon was for two brazilians. The first one was done by the older lady in the salon. I could tell she wasn't super experienced with it as it took a while, was kind of painful and left a little wax behind. The second time I went the brazilian was done by one of the younger ladies and she was REALLY GOOD! She was SUPER quick and the wax itself wasn't very painful at all! Worst experience. Not only do they have new associates working unsupervised which I was so unlucky to have done, my services. They also make you pay & tip before the service is done and then if you're not fully satisfied and want them to take off the tinting service you had removed/scrubbed off your face before you left they point to a cheap sign that says all sales are final and refuse to work with you. The only place I go to get my brows done. They are always friendly and greet me when I walk in, they're quick and most importantly they do great threading! Of course there are times when I like my brows more than others but I don't have a set person I go to and I'm still overwhelmingly satisfied with my brows as long as I tell them what I want. I Recently moved to Ohio from Hawaii, and discovered this Gem! I wish I would have came here for my "first brow experience in Ohio" but sadly I did not. Let me start off by saying that I've been coming here for SIX YEARS. I've always loved the way my eyebrows turned out, and have always received great compliments and referred many people here. However, after my visit on 9/7 I will not be returning. They did my eyebrows, I told her I only wanted my eyebrows done. She asked if I wanted my upper lip (no)...then brow tinting (no)...then started pointing out all the blackheads & whiteheads on my face and started pushing me to get a facial. I said no, she kept pressing on and said it was only $45, would make my pores look so much cleaner, my makeup so much better, me "pretty, pretty". I called the following day and asked for the manager, they said she only works Friday and Saturday, took my name and number and said she would call back- it's Saturday, so I called to follow up because I never got a call. She claims she called, talked to my husband (don't have a husband and this is my cell) and he said I left for work....turns out the manager was the one that did my eyebrows and pointed out every flaw she could see. We moved to Clintonville and now that drive is over 20 minutes so I looked for a place closer and found this place less than ten minutes away! And it's by the OTHER Los Guachos. On one hand, I couldn't stand to see this business suffer, but on the other, I know distancing is still the safest thing for everyone. I finally went today, and I'm so glad I did. I found them through Groupon and I thought it was a great deal; about $30, when my Brazilians usually cost $70+.
