Over the years as my prescription changed, my family and I have trusted Dr Lora and the staff at Opticare with our eye exams. We appreciate their friendly and knowledgeable staff. We love the broad selection of lenses and the speed of service. I can't compliment them enough since as an Asian, I would have thought I would never find a pair of glasses that would fit my face since the bridge of my nose is not as high. Somehow they found these super light weight frames that doesn't pinch my temples too much. Before I went to Dr Lora, I use to hate wearing my glasses because they always gave me a headache when my glasses pinched my temples and they use to slip off down off my nose.
It's also really cool to find out they've advanced "bi-focal" technology now. They have this lens called "progressive addition lens" which have multiple focal points in the lens, which allow you to see distance and close-up without the visible line in the lens. I figured if my insurance offers to pay; I might as well go for broke and get all the bells and whistles. (... it's not all bad when you're 45 and getting older)
It was amazing to literally "see" the difference of a sharply calibrated lenses that fit my eye sight. I was blown away how much details I was missing before.
I aim to keep bringing my family to Opticare for all of our eyecare needs.
PS: be sure to ask for the O.C.T. And retinal photos. In my research, it's not often offered at other places; but it's well worth it for your records and for future comparisons.
PPS: I didn't know this until a few months after our family went, but these are the same awesome folks who helped Baby Piper that was in the news. It's so cool that after the video went viral with 40 million views, the doctors got together and used the fame to help fund "infant see" which helps pay for free glasses for those babies who's parents can't afford it.
