But if…read moresomething isn't quite right and they have to remake the prescription or adjust anything, you see the cold, unfriendly, nasty side of people here. I found the optometrist very rushed and hard-pressed to try different options in the prescription to get it to where I felt most comfortable, and I constantly got the feeling that I was delaying them and imposing on their schedule. The owner of the business was very impatient and unfriendly when I said that the prescription was not right for my eyes and I wanted them retested and remade. I was made to feel very unwelcome going back to try get things right, like I was wasting everyone's time and money. I will not be going back there. I now have to to go elsewhere to get my eyes and glasses retested and remade to be what I actually and accurately need for my eyewear.

A Truly Heartfelt Thank You to Ideal Optical & Dr. Sharon Garcha…read more I'm not usually someone who writes reviews -- but for Ideal Optical, I just had to make an exception. Myself and my family have been going to Ideal Optical for many many years and seeing Dr. Sharon Garcha for the past few years. From the days of the original store to the beautifully renovated one, every visit has been a truly positive experience. We've always been treated with the utmost respect, and the service goes above and beyond -- whether it's for a new pair of glasses or a simple repair. Dr. Garcha takes her time with every appointment, thoroughly explaining everything and patiently answering all our questions. Her professionalism and warm nature create such a comfortable environment. Over the years, I've referred many family members, friends, and co-workers to Ideal Optical, and I've only ever heard great feedback -- never a single disappointment. Jas, we missed you during our last visit, but Annie was wonderful -- very helpful and thorough. It's always a pleasure to be taken care of by such a great team. Also, a big thank you for helping us find the perfect eyewear -- I absolutely love my Dita and Paul Smith with HOYA lenses, and Jones is loving her Tom Ford and Maui Jim sunglasses! Even though we are moving away, we'll continue coming back to Ideal Optical and to Dr. Sharon Garcha -- the trust, transparency, care, and quality are unmatched. From the bottom of our hearts, thank you to each and every one of you at Ideal and Dr. Garcha. We wish you all continued success, happiness, and good health. Enjoy your grandson - new addition to the family. With sincere gratitude, Jerry, Jones & Family

To start, I was slightly late for appointment with Dr. Jennifer Trac - literally running to the store because I got lost in the PATH. The staff was super understanding and checked me in very quickly, breezing through my pretest while asking me all the right questions and getting all the relevant information. Allan & Tate were extremely professional but still friendly during my visit. I felt really comfortable & confident in their ability to help me. When I went back to see Dr. Trac, she blew me away with her attention to detail and her ability to easily translate all her results into regular people language that I could understand. She was extremely patient in answering all my questions, and giving me an updated prescription that was definitely needed. Allan is actually a magician and picked out a beautiful pair of frames for me. They are light-weight titanium and suit my face really well, he has a great eye! Tate is the sweetest, he was on the phone with the insurance portal forever because the website for direct billing was down for maintenance when I got there. Their direct billing service is extremely convenient & definitely something I'll look for in the future. My glasses were ready in about a week & a half, which was expected because my prescription is kind of high and I added a lot of features on the lenses. The blue blockers are highly recommended by me if you spend a lot of time on a screen, it's made my eyes fatigue a lot less than they used to. I highly recommend you come! I think they have a discount for Ryerson students which definitely helps on the student budget, but regardless of who you are they definitely take your eye health seriously. Such an amazing experience, I'm blown away by the quality of service from this establishment.
