I had been a patient of optical solutions some time ago and decided to go back. Unfortunately, I made three appointments and I had to cancel all three. The first appointment I cancelled was due to me having the flu, the second appointment was on the same day of my fiancée's. funeral and the third time was due to a mandatory training I could not change. Each time I called prior to the appointment, it was not like I was a no show and did not call. The last time I called I was told that I would need to come in as a walk in because they could not give me anymore appointments and I was fine with that. So yesterday I called and was told they had an opening for 10:00am I said ok I am coming from Beaufort, and I will be there by 10:00am. I arrived at 9:46 in the parking lot of the building and once I gave my name, I was told that I could not be seen because I was in the middle of my 15 min window. I had no idea what this young lady was talking about because I was told that I could be seen at 10:00am. She apologized for not telling me that I needed to be there earlier and stated that she did say 10:00am and wanted to know if I could come back later. Who drives to Bluffton from Beaufort for a scheduled appointment to leave and drive back to Bluffton because the receptionist did not give out the correct information and admitted to not giving me the correct information. At that time I told her no and she said she was going to speak with the tech and see what could be done because the next appointment was at 2:00pm. Mind you, now it is 10:00am. To make a long story short the tech said no I could not be seen unless I wanted to wait, because they had an emergency patient coming in and other scheduled appointments so they were not sure where I could fit in. I said no thank you and left. I was not about to sit until 2:00pm for the next open appointment for a problem I did not commit. I see a Retina Dr and informed, my Retina Dr that I had an appointment at this facility, and she was pleased. I will see her again on Monday and inform her of the situation and reach out to see someone else to prescribe my glasses. Again, my reasons for not keeping prior appointments was out of my control. and I did call in a timely manner at all times. If I was not welcome back to the facility I should have been told. At most medical offices you have a 15min grace period and I apologize for not knowing that my grace period started 15min before my informed appointment. If this is the standard of operation people need to know before they travel to your facility. I am not a mind reader therefore I have no knowledge of your operating procedures. Thank you for your experience, again I apologize for my cancellations, but I will not return to your facility. There are times when you are shown where you are not wanted take heed, I did. read more
