I explained my situation and the receptionist said "Can you come in tomorrow at 8?" I was floored. Everyone in the office was so nice and went out of their way to accommodate me. Everytime I or my wife goes in we get to witness the laziness and ineptness of the receptionist! Her name is MARY. MARY is rude, condescending, lazy and inept! 2 months ago my wife had a major eye incident. The Dr. was worried enough that he sent my wife out for blood work and an MRI. MARY gave us a phone number to call and schedule the MRI. Everybody knows that patients DON'T schedule their own MRI.. I made comment and MARY said we had to call around and schedule ourselves! (WRONG MARY, you need to make this appointment AFTER you get authorization from the insurance)!! Another time I was given a medication prescription for my eyes. Dr. Lawrence sent it in to the pharmacy, I went to pick it up and was told my insurance won't cover it. The pharmacy told me they contacted my Drs office and spoke with (who else) MARY! They said they advised MARY that the medication wasn't covered. The Pharmacist told me the Dr would resubmit a different medication or get authorization from the insurance. 2 weeks later the pharmacy states they haven't heard back from my Dr. I make an appointment and go see Dr Lawrence. Dr Lawrence is COMPLETELY unaware of the issue because MARY never told anyone. WHY? She didn't know what to do! Never mind the fact that a Dr said I require a medication or procedure, MARY takes it upon herself to decide if it's neccessary and whom should be notified or who should make calls to insurance companies or testing facilities.. Today, I had a 0845 appointment. I arrive at 0833. NO ONE is at the desk. I take my appointment card and lay it on the desk then sit down. 5 minutes later MARY walks out, looks at me, picks up the card and she sits down. A patient comes out and checks out with MARY. Another patient then walked in the door. It's now 0853. That patient goes and sits down and is then called back at 0857 while I still sit and wait. 0901 comes and I get up and leave. (Apparently MARY allows patients that come in AFTER you to be seen first) I then call the main office in Canton and speak with Diane. I advise how dissatisfied I am with MARY. I also explain all the rude, ignorant and inept things which MARY does or has done. I tell Diane that myself and my wife will no longer be patients at Roholt because of MARY! Get rid of MARY and we'll stay! I inform Diane how sad it is that we like our Dr but can't see him because of a lazy inept person at the counter! Diane appologize but states that she finds it hard to beleive MARY would ever do any of the things I described. Guess what Diane, ALL FACTUAL!!! I advise Diane I am doing a YELP review and an ANGIES LIST review and I ASSURE her they will be bad reviews centering around the lazy and inept MARY. I tell Diane and I promise that I will be sure to tell EVERYONE I see to NOT go to Roholt until MARY is gone.. One ignorant person can ruin a business and make you lose customers and patients!! I have NOTHING but praise for Mary, Dr. Roholt, Dr. Kubis, and when he was working at Roholt Dr. Lawrence. Also - I had a minor emergency and Mary made sure I got right in to see Dr. Kubis. I was amazed at the quickness with which I was seen. Please take any negative review with a "grain of salt." I come from a medical family and currently have a physician in my family; I've also worked in a physician's office while in graduate school. I know a thing or two about good practices. Roholt Vision Institute is EXCELLENT. If I could give TEN stars I would. I thoroughly research my doctors before booking an appointment; I don't just pick a name off Google. Roholt is one of the best in Ohio.

I have gone there to get contacts and first to start the website hours are wrong and then when you try to talk to someone about it they literally tell you oh wow I'm sorry but that sucks I don't have any control over that. You work for the company you can inform someone that they have control over and I am a guest you don't talk to me like I am crap. Then trying to make an eye appointment to where I can take off work is near impossible. It took me six weeks before I can even get an appointment and I took off work three times for an appointment but they had to reschedule me. Then the trial Contacts, you have to pick them up when they are open and I am a teacher so I work from 8 to 4 which is teacher hours. I asked him if I can have someone else pick them up they told me yes. Then when I said the person into pick up my contacts with my drivers license and called them to tell them that they would be picking them up the reductions told me that that was not allowed and whoever I talk to you didn't know what they were talking about. So then I attempted to pick up my contacts a different time and the place closes at 12 and when I asked what their hours were and they told me they were open from 8 to 4 so I left work early to go pick up my contacts to a business that was closed. This place does not like to work with you and refuses to go beyond expectation or even to meet expectation of what they should facilitate for a place especially with how much I am paying.

We were outside the warranty, however, Steven was able to find a frame, on site, at an extremely reasonable price, that he could put my wife's lenses' in! Within 15 minutes of entering the building, he had a solution to the broken glasses, repaired them, and we were on our way!! His level of service, and willingness to go the extra mile to solve this issue, is VERY much appreciated. We are very proud to have a local business in our community that serves our area so well. I have had several negative interchanges with the office staff over the filling of my current scripts. And when I went to pick up my eye ware, I was told to have a seat and would be called when ready. I had to wait nearly ten minutes. I was pretty incensed at the cavalier attitudes of the office staff. I'm going to try another doctor next time.
