Had such a great experience here! I needed new contacts and glasses, and had recently moved to Downers Grove so needed a completely new doctor. I am SO glad I checked Yelp first! Long story short: I had been having vision issues with my contacts (double vision/blurriness/tired eyes etc.) I explained all this to the optometrist (blanking on his name, sorry) and he was great. He ended up figuring out that my prescription was too strong. He adjusted it and let me tell you, it's made a HUGE difference. Also, Magdy was so nice, helpful and polite. He helped me pick new glasses and I love them and they fit great. Also, my contacts and glasses were ready super fast. Like, just a few days. I don't write a lot of reviews but I just had to write one for this place. I first tried Optical Pro after finding a GroupOn deal and reading previous reviews. I have since been back for new glasses when I needed them. Magdy is just the kindest soul, funny and very thorough with his examination. You get a sense that he always goes the extra mile: be it staying late or through lunch hour to accommodate my schedule, going through quite a bit of his inventory until he finds a pair of glasses that I like and fits my face well, or giving me great deals on the glasses and contact lenses that I decided on. First of all the Eye exam took less than 5 minutes for my son which is odd , I paid 35$ for a Groupon for the test and it comes with 200$ towards glasses, the frames are so overpriced, it was gonna be too much money and he refused to give me my sons prescription unless I bought something even though I paid for the test. I do not recommend this place at all! read more

Saw great reviews on Groupon and decided to check the prices first. I was greeted immediately greeted by Magdy and he found me a handful of glasses to price out that were similar to my current pair. My prescription is high and I was impressed that he offered the newest/thinnest lenses. (Also, cheaper pricing than vision works or lens crafters) Secondly, loved the brands: diesel, Kenneth Cole, coach, Perry Ellis... I priced a unique pair of Vera Wang frames. Third, Dr. Laelani? (spelling is wrong, but know he is from Stanford Univ. and teaches at #1 school in chicago) gave me an exam right then. Fourth, got the Groupon price for an exam with $200 credit. Then a discount for my contact lenses fitting. The doctor was thorough in explaining my prescription numbers and how my vision would progress with time. They gave me a few pairs of contacts to try out and priced the boxes they could order at the approximate price I paid at Sam's club. Lastly, since their lab is in house they offered to have my glasses in 4 days, customized for my nose, and even offered to try and fix my broken glasses for a back up at no charge. Sorry I couldn't give this place 10 stars! Definitely, will be back for future visits! read more

He helps you with glasses that look good on you and because my prescription is more it just took a couple of days at a great price:). I'm no Phil Vettel but I take the number of stars in my review seriously! If I could give Madgy and Optical Pro a six-star review...5 for Optical Pro and an extra for Madgy...I would give it. The reality is that Madgy IS the Optical Pro. He has a great selection of frames to choose from and will gladly give you his opinion on the frames that you try on (if it doesn't fit your face or is not adequate for your vision needs, he will direct you to a better fit). He also clearly has experience when it comes to optometry. This was my first time getting a progressive bifocal. And I had heard about their drawbacks from acquaintances. But sick of switching from one pair of glasses to my reading glasses every other minute, I was determined to try. Madgy told me he would make them specially for me, ease me into the new world! And (unlike the ill-fitting and unflattering pair that I paid more for from Lens Crafters last time) the result was AWESOME. I thought I would be walking onto a carnival ride after I first put them on but it was just a natural progression. I LOVE my new glasses. And I LOVE the frames that Madgy picked out for me. Magdy was so helpful and attentive to my son. We came here directly from the ophthalmologist after finding out that my 2 year old son was very farsighted and needed glasses. After picking out glasses, I let him know that we were going out of town for vacation that night for the week so we wouldn't be able to pick up the glasses until next week. Best glasses buying experience that I've ever had. The manager was incredibly welcoming and accommodating to me and my children. I wasn't just a "sale" for him; I could tell that he genuinely wanted to make sure that I was happy with my purchase. I've been to a lot of optical stores that just want to force you into an expensive eye exam and then pressure you into buying the most expensive pair of glasses in the store. Magdy Mina gave me the most thorough eye exam I've ever had. There were hundreds of beautiful frames, and he suggested a pair that is perfect. Now I don't mind wearing my glasses! He said the glasses would be ready in 10 days but 4 days later he called to come pick them up. He is an exceedingly nice man-so kind I gave him a hug. The moment I spoke with Magdy Mina on the phone, I knew this would be an awesome experience! When I got there he warmly welcomed me even thou he was helping someone else. The conversation flowed freely and I ran past him that I desired bi-focal contacts to which he advised me to discuss with the Dr. Then for the real treat, Dr. Leylani! Not only is he knowledgeable, he discussed my question in lay person terms so I understood what he was saying. Also, what a hoot- he's funnier than any Optometrist I've every met. Then when these two guys got together, it was like a comedy act. No seriously, they were serious when they needed to be but made the entire normally boring process, a fun time. Magdy even went beyond by adding anti-glare to my glasses, even thou I didn't order it, since he said the glasses didn't look clean without it, which I appreciated. I've been going to Vision Works the past few years as I always thought private eye doctors were too expensive. My fiancé had a Groupon for Optical Pro and raved about the great experience he had with Magdy. I knew I was due for a new pair of glasses and contacts so I thought I would try Optical Pro out. I am so glad I did! Right from the beginning Magdy was so friendly and really took the time to understand what I was looking for. I went with a friend who had the good fortune to purchase a "coupon" for an exam/glasses purchase combination and I can't believe how accommodating Magdy Mina and his team was. Their eye exam was was top notch and the selection of both designer and less expensive frames was outstanding. The most pleasant part of our time at Optical Pro was spent in active conversation with Magdy - it was not only very interesting, but spirited and so pleasant. His patience and professionalism went far and above what was required. I am a small business owner and I realize the importance of customer service, and am convinced Magdy does as well - the service was outstanding! I have been going to other locations and been paying way more for my exams and glasses, but no longer - I am a convert to Optical Pro from now on!
