These reviews just scratch the surface of how horrible this place is...I had a $300 budget from my Insurance carrier..I though I could get some decent glasses for that price..When I looked at the wall of mens rims I was mortified...I see better glases at CVS and they have glass in them..Then I was told I could get one of the better pairs for three hundred are two cheaper pairs ..I didn't really see any differance so I took the two pairs...I dread the thought of picking up the glasses I expect inferior product. Sher was very quick while ordering a pair of glasses with prescription through our insurance. She explained what and which glasses would be covered etc. Pretty much showed us which area on the wall and to pick one.. whatever glasses you try on you place in a basket so they can disinfect after and place back. They don't have many designer glasses so if that's what you're searching for I suggest searching for another place. This establishment is pretty spacious and open. You must wear a mask at all times regardless of vaccination status. They have an eye doctor on site which you should make an appointment for .. for everything else you can walk in.. Pretty quick, to the point if you don't want/need much assistance this place should be just fine for a pair of prescription glasses. read more

This place is a fucking ripoff. Messed up my bifocal prescription, made the lower lens so far down I had to look down and cross my eyes just to use them. The front desk girl was rude and condescending and told me she was "doing me a favor" by letting me return the glasses. 0 stars is my real answer. Worst experience in a doctors office ever. The front desk person had no idea what she was doing and was so unwelcoming and unfriendly. Even a coworker told her she was doing it wrong but then left her unsupervised to keep messing up and having to do over and over again until I requested her support so my kids wouldn't have to keep being her guinea pigs while she played around. Then we met the doctor and it was even worse. He was completely inappropriate and chauvinistic and asking personal questions outside of his professional arena. I explained he was crossing a line and making us uncomfortable but that didn't stop him. Absolutely will never ever visit this office again and highly recommend you not even trying it. read more

Exam day ok by doctor. The staff not overly attentive or friendly. At first pickup A trainee had super long fake nails that I thought would poke my dads eyes out and she barely spoke. The 2 glasses were not ready at same time so 2nd pick up we waited outside for them to open. The website and front door says 9am. NO ONE THERE!!! We waited and called. My experience with this location has been abysmal. Firstly they are incredibly understaffed and you have to call 3 times every time to get something other than the answering machine. You will then be placed on hold for at least 10 minutes each time you call. The staff did not spell my last name right (after repeating it back to me), so their insurance department called me to verify my insurance, (which I missed that call and tried to call back multiple times and only got a voicemail). They also did not take my phone number down correctly so when the doctor left early on the day of my appointment they were not able to call me to reschedule and after I showed up to the office I had to come back 4 days later. I then received a confirmation text that my appointment was at a different time than I had set with the staff member IN PERSON and so I called to sort it out and after going through the call process I explained above. I was given one set of sample contacts to get me through the week until my order arrived. However the order was actually scheduled to take two weeks to come in not a week like they said. I lost one of my contacts and called the office to see if I could get just one more sample to get me through the additional week I did not plan for, and after going through the calling process I explained above, I was told the doctor had again left the office early and they could not dispense a sample pack without him there. read more

Optical outlets in Bradenton, FL at 4907 14 th street west is the worst place to go for eyeglasses. The 2 doctors were wonderful! Staff are RUDE! Especially the manager. Staff tries to blame scheduling on the drs, haha. Doctors are self contracted and management is responsible for mass appointments that they can NOT keep up with ' during a pandemic'! 28 people were standing around waiting. 2 doctors & 3-4 staff working on glasses and 1 with contacts. After 1 & 1/2 hours of waiting I asked to pay for my eye appointment without glasses so I could get out of there! The MANAGER, Michelle Aguilar, told me that it didn't matter if I bought the glasses or not, I had to wait my place to pay! After both doctors looked stunned when I told them this, dr watts got me bumped up. I only had to wait ANOTHER 25 minutes to check out. I asked at my appointment time how long the wait would be because I saw the number of people waiting. They assured me with an appointment it wouldn't take long! After 2 hours I have no glasses and wish I would have left when I asked! I have several photos of the crowd at th office along with staff talking to customers without their mask on if anyone wants to see. I'd give 0 stars if it was an option read more

This is the best Optical place in the world. the progressive glasses are incredibly priced and they don't try to sell you add ons. The staff is very attentive and the service is prompt. Most miraculously I actually found frames I liked which is a problem at most of the other Sarasota eyeglass stores. Terribly understaffed and chaotic office. The doctor rushed The visit and left me completely unsure as to whether or not I was examined properly. He put dilating drops in my eyes and immediately checked them before waiting for the medicine to take effect. It took a full 1/2 hour to get my prescription and check out. Total ripoff. Frames are flimsy and the service is crap. They're nice when selling but if you have any problems they give you a major attitude. I brought back a frame I bought 7 months ago. They broke in half but I was told by K (I won't give her actual name but she's the one sitting at the front desk) told me it was my fault they broke and basically told me to take a hike.
