Yes, I am a fan. We've been coming to this office for a long time now (well, this one and their other one in Tempe). It's been a while since I did an update, but the only thing that has changed is the addition of another physician (Dr Lanzer). We had an urgent matter last fall, and ended up seeing her because she was the one available soonest. We were quite satisfied with the treatment received. This visit we both saw Dr Matsumoto. Full eye exam. Discussed floaters and optic migraines (yes, there is such a thing). Not rushed, covered everything imaginable. Plus my wife's eye is fully recovered (from the incident last fall). Drs Matsumoto and Konti, and now Lanzer, will continue to be our primary eye care physicians. We might go elsewhere for refractions, but when it comes to the medical health of our eyes this is the place.

A two plus hour wait in the lobby upon first visit. Seems this is the norm, but it''s not okay folks. Staff is pleasant,as they should be. Doctors are pleasant, answered my questions and were professional. Again, as they should be. But come on. A TWO HOUR wait to be seen for the first time. Folks, this alone is a problem. Staff needs to schedule accordingly. Personally, I would rather come in another day and NOT wait so d*** long. I mean seriously, unlike myself, some people have a life, jobs, children, bills to pay, other appointments. Oh, and that Phoenix magazine they have on display that touts this business as one of the best doctors in the Valley might want to edit their review to include something about 'such great docs in high demand means you're gonna have a long wait." Thankful for magazines to flip through, tv to distract me briefly and enough battery power to sustain the excessively l o n g wait. Now where's an outlet? I need to plug in.

We love Dr. Matsumoto, such a kind and caring Physician!

The only issue I had is that I was told multiple things that contradicted each other. For example, the surgery center told me that I would wear a shield over my eye for two weeks straight all day long. When I went to my follow up appointment, they told me no I really only needed to wear it at night time. The surgery center told me that I could request nausea medication from the doctors office. Should I feel nauseous. I did indeed feel nauseous and had dizziness and motion type sickness from this surgery. I spoke with the doctors office and they informed me that they do not write prescriptions for nausea medication, but that I would have to call my primary care physician for that. They aren't even aware I'm having the surgery! I also had my first appointment and we agreed I would have the surgery as soon as possible in the next available date. We were both available. Never heard from the scheduler, then finally called them after about 10 days and the surgery was scheduled for a few weeks out! Scheduler said Dr. had written not urgent. I did call the doctors office and it was rectified and moved back to the originally discussed date. There were multiple things like this and it got confusing and a little frustrating for me that the surgery center and doctors's offices are not on the same page. Again, I did like the staff and the doctors.

For reasons still unknown My eyes were determined to come apart but Dr. Danesh was there virtually 24/7 to address the emergencies (and there were several). The depression fear and anxiety during this ordeal was off the charts difficult but this man treated me like a family member. I never doubted that he would try everything he could to save my vision and knowing this helped get me through this horrible time. I went from being left virtually blind to a functional human being again. My condition was so rare and extreme that It took several procedures over many months to fix, but I can see again! It's amazing. My life would be over if not for the gifted hands and true compassion of this good man. I feel grateful and humble to have ended up at this practice. Never brush off changes in vision is my advice. Sudden floaters, clouding or dark areas appearing are emergencies. Seek out help immediately and seek out Dr Danesh if at all possible. but do not ignore those vision changes. ever. Thank You again Dr Danesh, and thanks to your staff as well. I like to come to this clinic and meeting with very beautiful and courteous front Lady, Maricella…read more I came twice to the Clinic at 16st for my father (Yahya Sie). My father have AMD on both eyes. Dr. Shabari has been taking care of my father. Dr. Shabari is the most awesome Dr that I have ever meet. She is "very passionate" AND she is "full of compassion". You can tell from her gentle voice and her talk and her action. She is very approachable and personable. She explain very well. She went over the picture taken by heat staff. The staff are also very friendly. This is the best "clinic" that I ever met in Arizona. This clinic is specialized in Retina. and I believe they have 3 doctors. The one that I met is Dr. Shabari. She is an Indian decent and very smart. i feel comfortable to trust my father retina treatment to her and her clinic. The clinic is very clean and managed super well. There are NOT too much patients; People are treat as human with respect. The waiting time is not long. The parking at 16st is good, plenty of space. the restrooms are clean. The office looks very modern. Life is short, It is always best to have Dr that care about you. And you will 100 % get it from Dr. Shabari and her staff. I am Asian and we are very well educated and respectful person. With "PhD degree". We are "pro-live" and we "love Family". You can feel the family like environment with Dr. Shabari and Clinic. Dr. Shabari has the talent for that. NOT all Dr has it. Dr. Shabari has the Heart for her patient. Thanks for the existence of this clinic in our beautiful Arizona !

This review is based strictly on my two experiences bringing my elderly father to this office…read more Our previous visit was for a retina check and took 3 1/2 hours. I was there long enough to walk the parking lot and get 10,000 steps while I waited. I hoped that was an unusually bad day, but unfortunately today's experience was much of the same. Today, my dad had a 7:00 AM appointment--the first appointment of the day--for an injection in his eye. His eye was numbed shortly after we arrived, and then he was left sitting in the procedure room waiting. By 7:52, the doctor still had not performed the injection. He came in, administered additional numbing drops, said he would be back, and left again. My dad later told me that the injection was painful. I am not a doctor, so I can't say whether the long wait had anything to do with that, but as his daughter, of course it makes me question whether the original numbing medication was still adequately effective after sitting there for so long. During the wait, at least five medical assistants came in and out of his procedure room to access medication from a refrigerator. No knocking, just opening the door and coming in. I was also told I needed to put on a mask because this was a procedure room, yet the employees repeatedly entering the room were not wearing masks. If a refrigerator is accessed that frequently by staff, perhaps a patient's procedure room isn't the best place for it. What bothers me most, though, is the lack of consideration for elderly patients and the people responsible for getting them to these appointments. Many elderly patients can't simply drive themselves here, sit for several hours and drive themselves home. They depend on their children, spouses or caregivers for transportation. Those people have jobs, families and other responsibilities. Expecting a routine appointment to regularly take 2-3+ hours puts an unnecessary burden on both the patient and the person caring for them. I understand that doctors get behind. Emergencies happen. I don't expect a medical office to run perfectly on schedule every single day. But when our last appointment took 3 1/2 hours and today's 7:00 AM first appointment of the day involved this much waiting, it becomes difficult to view it as an occasional delay. It's also frustrating to read so many other reviews describing similar experiences. When the same concern is repeatedly mentioned by patients, you would hope the practice would recognize it and make an effort to improve. I'm not writing this because I expect special treatment. I simply believe elderly patients--and the family members who take responsibility for getting them to their medical care--deserve better consideration for their time, better communication while they're waiting, and a more organized experience.

Dr. Robin Ross,…read more Reading your other reviews your tendency is to discharge patients when they question you. It appears it is difficult for you to deal with legit questions from your patients. Your reply about how the portal operates is irrelevant. To reiterate my past post Medicare rules and laws are not meant to be adjusted by a doctor or any other institution. Per Medicare ...it manages a patient's yearly deductable, not the doctor. You required a payment from me in January instead of being processed by Medicare first. Medicare decides and manages the reimbursement to a doctor. I was overcharged $30 with your estimation of what you thought was due to you. I was never reimbursed the $30 overcharge till May when I communicated on Klara for different appointment where you were charging me over $700 instead of processing through Medicare first. Your staff said you do not give receipts to patients. I finally received a copy of a ledger(not a receipt) for my payment one month after my appointment. You were charging me for expensive eye drops that I research were taken off the market. I then gave you articles as proof on the removal of this product. You still insisted they were safe. Talking to my new eye specialists, it is common knowledge these drops are unsafe and removed from market. I was already dismissed by you but had remained persistent in getting answers, a receipt and money due back to me for charging me a lot of money for products that are considered not safe off the market. You did pay me back the $700. That is telling in itself. If you did not owe me the money you would have never paid it out. Your husband is your accountant. The Klara app is part of a secure, HIPAA-compliant medical record that is maintained for seven years. You DELETED our conversation from Klara. I have a copy of the whole message before you deleted because I suspected you would after what you wrote is conflictive and telling. You are very strict about ONLY communicating with patients through Klara. When I questioned on Klara about my payment and asking for a receipt but instead of replying on Klara you and your staff started calling me on my phone many times. I have the phone records. Instead of picking up the phone I communicated to you on Klara I would discuss the issues in writing ..not on the phone. The conversations were only through Klara......no abuse on my end. Remember you are the one that deleted the Klara HIPPA conversation. May future patients have their questions answered promptly without being dismissed, not given unsafe products that are off the market, not charged for payments upfront but have it processed lawfully by Medicare first which then also elevates overcharging a patient and not reimbursing them and lastly being treated with respect and honesty.
