Last update for Abram's Eye Center--promise!…read more My eyes have gotten better! Yes, better! In the three years I've been going to Dr. Abram, he's gotten me on track with taking care of my eyes and put me in contacts that are much more breathable. Because of all this, my vision has improved, prescription has lowered and the overall health of my eyeballs is much better! Can't get much better than that! Highly recommended!

To be honest, I'm not quite sure if eye care in Cleveland is poor in general, so this place looks…read moregood based on the 5 star reviews other folks gave it. Based on my experience, they may just have low expectations. The service levels I've received from Abrams Eye Center are mostly rushed, them acting as though I should be happy that I'm being given the time of day. I spent significant time with an assistant, who never introduced himself, or told me what he was doing. When the Dr. did arrive, the explanation of issues with my eyes were dismissive, as though any serious issues that might have been identified, were nothing to worry about. Overall, not a fun thing when you only get one set of eyes. Additionally, I'm not much impressed with their lack of callbacks. I got a trial pair of contacts, but it's been my responsibility to call them, and tell them how I liked them. When I called them again to try to get a different set of contacts, they merely told me they would let the contact fitters know I wasn't happy with what I had. No information on what I might like, no timing they would get back to me. I'll have to see if I can get time to get there to talk to the actual contact fitter, but it's clear the work here is mine to do (and I have to pay them for the privilege).

Dr Bassiri Gharb is an amazing surgeon. She did my breast augmentation and my facial feminization…read moresurgery. I had a really great experience with both procedures. She is really great at advocating for her patients and also was extremely helpful in getting my insurance to cover these gender affirming procedures. She is super LGBTQIA friendly. She is without a doubt the most educated doctor I've ever had the pleasure of working with as well. She has done 5 fellowships plus she's the director of plastic surgery research and the co director of cranial facial surgery. I honestly would give her 10 stars if I could because of how great my experience was. She is also not one of those doctors that sees you as just a number and she doesn't rush you and takes her time. She also keeps it very real when discussing outcome and possible risks. Last thing I want is a doctor that is just telling me what I want to hear and she is very honest about the risks.
