In the three years I've been going to Dr. Abram, he's gotten me on track with taking care of my eyes and put me in contacts that are much more breathable. Based on my experience, they may just have low expectations. The service levels I've received from Abrams Eye Center are mostly rushed, them acting as though I should be happy that I'm being given the time of day. I spent significant time with an assistant, who never introduced himself, or told me what he was doing. When the Dr. did arrive, the explanation of issues with my eyes were dismissive, as though any serious issues that might have been identified, were nothing to worry about. Overall, not a fun thing when you only get one set of eyes. Additionally, I'm not much impressed with their lack of callbacks. I got a trial pair of contacts, but it's been my responsibility to call them, and tell them how I liked them. When I called them again to try to get a different set of contacts, they merely told me they would let the contact fitters know I wasn't happy with what I had. No information on what I might like, no timing they would get back to me. I'll have to see if I can get time to get there to talk to the actual contact fitter, but it's clear the work here is mine to do (and I have to pay them for the privilege).

The nurse than took it upon herself to disregard the next plan of action. Basically Djohan agreed but when I went to schedule I was quoted for an procedure not a revision .I called and left messages to clear up the mishap. I was denied and treated harshly. The NP/nurse slandered my name like I was an telemarketer not an patient.I never would have went thru with the surgery if I knew I would be treated in this way. Communication should always be positive and it was horrible. This made my experience very negative I now have trust issues because of this.I would not recommend.You should never be denied access to your Dr it comes off very untrustworthy for a surgeon not to communicate with their patient. The nurse is not your dr !! boundaries we're not in place as they should be. Update I had to go in to discuss what all has taken place .Djohan allowed his nurse to come in to our meeting after I requested not to interact with this specific nurse that was very condescending to me. I gave him enough notice to have someone else accompany him.He knocked n the exam room door and they just bombarded in with the same rude nurse and said he didn't have another nurse, not true! I was left with no other option I was sitting their undressed. After all that had taken place I was now being told to go to Miami. I could not believe it this man told me at my first consult to stay away from Miami Doctors he would not recommend it!! Where is the ethics and the pledge to stand behind your work , how about Integrity? This was not the same Dr I met just months ago that I allowed to work on me. I'm hurt I did not deserve this. I didn't add previously that Rachel knowingly sent me to the pharmacy after being discharged to supposedly pick up medicine drops for my eye that was bruised during surgery. I get to the pharmacy to find out she ordered over the counter moisture drops which I had at home . I drove in severe pain to be humiliated with a basic over the counter prescription not with drops that the dr had ordered to be administered
