Then on my latest pair of glasses I bought around 2015, I gave them my insurance info paid what they said I owed, and was on my way. I called them 2 years later to set up my exam for more contacts and glasses, they called me back saying, they would not take me back in, unless I paid an old balance of over $200 from apparently 2015 where something didn't go through with insurance. And they said they "lost my paperwork and forgot to call me back". And they would not take me back in unless I paid the total amount from over 2 years ago. (Which in those 2 years I never received any bill over this) And when I told them how disappointed I was with their lack of organization, the receptionist quickly said, "We will forget your balance, you find new eye doctor now". And she hung up on me. 4 months later I get a bill from collections..... Wouldn't recommend these guys to my worst enemy.

Three have been times I have been blind and only able to see shadows, living life in that condition is full of fear and uncertainty. Dr. Coney has never given up on me or my eyes. I have watched 3 of my grandchildren graduate from high school, and see them looking beautiful in their prom attire. I am so blessed that he travels to New Castle, PA and the burden of travelling for the highest quality of care is available in my community. My family and I are so very thankful for the skillful hands and mind of this genuinely kind man. Thank you Dr. Coney for everything you have done for me and the quality of my life.

He dismissively said that he did not have the time to talk me into the shot. Then he said get the shot or go blind. He then stormed out of the room. One of their supervisors came into the room and allowed me to question her. He then came back in to give me the shot. Again very dismissive. I saw him for maybe 5 minutes total. I ended up in the emergency room with a BP of 259/159. It took more than 6 hours to get it back to a reasonable reading. The fact that this is one of the side effects of this drug I had to look up on my own.

After eye exams are complete, you are required to make payment before you leave. I questioned why it would not go through my insurance, and was told I only have a co-pay. Flash forward two weeks later, I received my insurance claim showing what they covered and how much I owe out of pocket. A difference of $105!!! Huge difference!! I call the office to question that and was referred to another number for billing questions. I was told they had not yet received the payment from my insurance and I could call back in a week or so if I didn't get my reimbursement. A second call to billing 3 weeks later, I was told they have not received the insurance payment and to call back in August (a month and a half down the road, my insurance sent them a check 5/26). I questioned why the office made me pay all upfront without sending to insurance and was told that some office staff don't know how to collect. So easy to take the money from the rip, yet a long and winded process to get my money back! My advice is if you want a good eye doctor, go see Dr. Dowd but DO NOT pay all upfront or you'll be in hounding them for a refund.
