I came to this Woodland Hills location after a…read morefrustrating experience at the Apple Store, looking for a straightforward answer regarding installing Microsoft Office 2024 on my Mac. Instead of honest help, the Geek Squad tech tried to set me up for a future payday. He gave me completely false information, claiming that installing the new retail version would automatically "overwrite" any old, broken license files on my Mac. He then gave me a specific expiration date telling me to "wait and see" what happens on July 8th when my old service expires, and told me that if it doesn't work, he could "uninstall and reinstall" it for me for $40. He clearly knew there would be a license conflict, but instead of telling me about the free Microsoft License Removal Tool that fixes it instantly, he chose to withhold the solution so I would experience a tech headache at home and feel forced to bring my Mac back in to give him $40. To make matters worse, simply uninstalling and reinstalling the apps doesn't even clear the hidden Mac system cache where the licensing error lives, meaning his $40 "fix" wouldn't have even worked. I trusted my gut, ignored his advice, and fixed the hidden license conflict myself at home for free using the proper tool. Don't fall for the smooth talk or the safety-net pitches at this location they are actively manufacturing problems to sell you services you don't need.

My father had passed down an old TEAC reel to reel recorder/player and this heirloom was very…read moreprecious to me, particularly after he passed away. I left the item with a highly reputable audio repair center in Los Angeles, but unfortunately, they were unable to make any progress on restoring it after two years in the shop. The shopowners insisted that parts would have to be salvaged from other TEAC players and this could take a very long time. I resolved that I needed to do something about getting this item restored immediately. On account of this, I am very happy that I discovered Adrian's service center. I made phone call to Adrian, and he confidently assured me that he can get new parts installed in a matter of weeks. I retrieved my player from the first shop and brought it in the Adrian's shop within that same week. After a nice conversation explaining details about tape quality, he gave me an estimate immediately without even dismantling the unit. He provided two estimates, one basic restoration, and one that would bring the unit back to full factory TEAC specs. I opted for the latter, and this would involve what is known as a tape head relap. This meant bringing the unit to a 3rd party specialist that resurfaces the heads, as cleaners would be insufficient to get the job done. Out the door, the full cost of repairs was under $600 which is a bit less than I expected. But more importantly he promised all the repairs to be done in less than a month. He spoke with me later on the phone and discussed what kind of tapes I had on hand. Armed with this information, he was able to calibrate the bias on the machine for two kinds of tapes to optimize sound quality on recording. I brought the TEAC home last week, and immediately tested out some of my father's classic tapes, and the sound quality was just marvelous. I am so relieved that I discovered a local place in Los Angeles that can specifically repair such a rare commodity these days. I would shudder at having to ship such a fragile, bulky item across the country.

But when I walked into Selectify it was filled with goodies, arranged so the front had the large furniture, which made the warehouse feel open and inviting. My friend and I set to task, looking for hidden treasure. Ok, I was SUPPOSE to be looking for a desk chair. Selectify had them, but I was more interested in the items I didn't know I needed! LOL Insight on me...I love a duvet cover. I'm not into shoes, clothes are just a necessity(...or are they...?) purses can be fun, but a DUVET COVER??? Well the right one can feel like luxury, comfort and an overall sense of security and well being. Don't know why, just does. So, I saw multiple bins of King & Queen duvets, but they were white, nothing exciting, so I moved on. Just as I was leaving - finding only a MUCH NEEDED pair of floor sweeping slippers, another duvet on display caught my eye. lovely grey with white embroidery. I asked Simon if there were more duvets like this and he happily took me to a large shelf of boxes. Some of the boxes had "comforters" listed, with a sample of each outside the box. He did have to move a few about, but then emerged ANOTHER beautiful duvet. 'Ok, Simon, how much?' '$12' was the reply. SOLD! My new duvet is in the wash as I type, and my slippers have already dusted the floor while Hub's eyes rolled. Am I content? No....I'm thinking about that other duvet and will be back to get it later this weekend. I may also have to grab a couple of beautiful garden pots, which retail $20-$80 elsewhere, at Selectify for $10 -$40. Simon let me know that stock changes daily.
