Subsequently I notified the…read moreoffice that I had chosen a different surgeon for treatment of my back pain and would not be returning to or accepting any further service from Advanced Pain Management Clinic. I have since been billed for a visit during the following month that did not occur, as well as for remote monitoring for the next 3 months that I did not sign an agreement for or receive. Multiple communications with the office & billing department have not resolved the situatio. Apparently my next course of action will be through legal counsel.

I tried submitting verbal complaint so whoever's in charge would be made aware of how one staffer affected their business, but my calls have not been responded to. As my first review revealed the difficulty I had in getting my calls returned, so it continues. That particular staffer is either always out 'running errands' or just takes her time returning phone calls perioid. Left three messages over several days while awaiting a call-back. I'm done.

I was sent to him by the VA due to chronic neck and back pain with x-rays and MRIs to back it up, as well as a couple of sports-related injuries, including a poorly-healed broken elbow and a complete rupture of the gluteus minimus and medius (having surgery on that in a couple of weeks). He only cared about the neck, didn't want to hear about anything else. Zero eye contact, no facial expressions, clipped and monotone. I asked a couple of questions but had to repeat myself because he ignored me. When he was done fiddling with his computer, he did have a plan; come back for some nerve blocking (or whatever it's called) which should work for 4 HOURS. Then keep a pain journal so they know if they're in the right area. So... nothing today? "No." Why not? "We need authorization from the VA. Could take days, could take weeks. Don't know." Can I get something for the pain in the meantime?? (No history of abuse or addiction, all injuries well documented.) "No. Nothing. It was nice to meet you." Then he walked out. The office staff were nice, but you couldn't pay me to go back to that place. From their parking lot, I reached out to the VA to find a different provider - which took about 10 minutes total. They were eager to take my statement and apologized for Oleg's behavior. Oh, and the authorization I needed to wait for? They had it the entire time. Everything he wanted to do was included in the referral that had already been approved.

After reading some of the reviews on other sites I'll admit I was a bit skeptical to come here…read more After my first visit I can't say that I agree with all the negative reviews as my experience went smoothly and without complication. First off, it should be known that Oregon insurance policies suck, especially their Medicaid plans. I came back to Portland in early 2018 after living in California for several years. Medicaid (Medi-Cal) in California is amazing by comparison. OHP CareOregon is extremely limiting and often with long wait times for referral approvals. There is also some misinformation floating around about OHP, that they don't cover pain medications, when they actually do, they just can't be written for more than 30 days at a time. Oregon is also weird because your PCP is generally the one responsible for writing all of your prescriptions, so make sure you find one that is willing to write them. In California the pain management centers write them. This Legacy center is the only pain clinic I know of that actually writes prescriptions, OHSU and Providence do not unless you have a terminal illness. My first two pain consults were with Providence (what a joke) and OHSU, both pretty much a waste of time. So my PCP sent in the referral here and I was able to schedule my appointment with Dr. Schrattenholzer within one month, which is good by Oregon standards as the average wait seems to be closer to three months just for initial consults. The office is clean and the waiting area was dimly lit with only a couple of other people waiting. I was seen about 10 minutes after my scheduled appointment time, and was then seen about another 10 minutes after being checked in by the nurse. My condition is well documented over 3+ years, legitimate and currently requires ongoing pain medications. Dr. Schrattenholzer spent over an hour with me and was kind and polite the whole time. He was genuinely interested and perplexed by my condition and wanted to offer me the best options. At no time did he seem condescending, rude or treat me like I was an addict. We discussed alternate forms and possibilities of treatment and various medications and decided to go with a couple of prescription medications that would best suit me for the time being. They wrote the prescriptions, did the pre-authorizations for insurance and sent me on my way. Scheduled a follow up for a couple months out. They also have an onsite Physical Therapist consultant and Pain Psychologist. Highlights: - Free parking, you'll need a validation slip. Building #3 is easiest. The main entrance is on NW Marshall. Oddly, the disabled parking spots are all on the roof level, which means if it's raining you're going to get soaked. There's another entrance on NW Northrup, I believe there are disabled spots on the lower level that are covered. The parking garages can get jammed during peak hours. - Entrance to the building offices are on the upper and lower floors, the other elevators in the garage take you to those levels. - Bathrooms near entry ways. - Pain clinic is just a couple doors down on the left if entering from the roof of building 3, level D. If you park in building 2 it's the first door on the right after crossing the sky bridge. - There's filtered water in the waiting area. - There's also a bathroom in the offices just past the reception desk. - The doctors schedule can be quite full, so scheduling can be a little hit or miss. There are other doctors there as well.

This doctor did not look at my knee (CRPS) or my back (spinal stenosis, etc.). He did not do any type of exam. Usually, you are asked to walk, bend, flex, etc. This physician did nothing. He stayed across the exam room from me the whole time. During the visit, I was told that because of my insurance (which his office and several other of my medical team accept), none of the treatments they offer for my condition could be done. I went into a pain management office and left demoralized. The condition I have is nicknamed "the suicide disease" because of the amount of physical pain it causes.
