Alrighty here is your all inclusive, detailed review of OPA. (7/10) Atmosphere; cozy lighting, chatty, smells like a Smokey delicacy. A 8.7/10 upgrade from their previous place. The bourbon wall is a dream. I would rate higher but my senior guests kept having to say "WHAT?WHAT YOU SAY?" Due to lack of acoustic material. The food: 7/10.... Beware they are not knowledgeable in gluten allergies. Every-time I've dined with a GF guest who requested no gluten or pita, they're gifted a pita on their food and have to wait another 15 minutes to get a new dish. They also did not substitute the included side of pita with a different GF side. The entrees are a great size, but they need some love (and salt and garlic). The seafood Alfredo was more like an Aldente milk soup with a few tiny bits of bell peppers. However the seafood itself tasted great and was a perfect texture! Overall, check this place out, but stick to what they're known for; the amazing drinks, the juicy gyros, and exquisite atmosphere. read more

Had an amazing time at Opa's on a Saturday night. A little crowded but we got a table right at 5:30 pm. The beer and bourbon selection was excellent. I've never seen a bourbon wall like this before. And they had a 2nd bar upstairs if you just wanted a drink!! I got the Greek gyro and it was delicious, wow!! My spouse got the lamp chops and they were so good too. Food was just so-so. The phyllo in the spinach pie was not properly prepared, so the interior sheets were essentially raw and tasteless. One in our party asked for no lettuce on her sandwich (the cyclospora outbreak and all), but the sandwich came with lettuce. I would say we waited longer to be seated for a table than we probably should have. The food was probably the biggest change I noticed. Really wanted to like this place. Best bourbon selection in the larger Columbus area. The food is good, kind of an odd pairing with high end bourbon, but it's good family fare. The service has been hit or miss. First time in the server kept going back to the kitchen to figure out the bourbon flight I picked. Not the biggest issue, but you'd think they'd be more prepared to handle bourbon requests. The second time I sat at the bar and waited ten minutes before leaving when nobody would serve me (place wasn't crowded, the two bartenders just ignored me). Last interaction was to reach out asking if they had a certain bottle in stock. I thought it was a harmless request, asking a bourbon bar if they planned on getting a certain bourbon. Stopped to see the "large bourbon collection" that people talked about!! We were blown away by the number of bourbons they had and the knowledge of our bartender, Brandi. I can't imagine anyone coming here and not being able to find something they like. We also got to speak with the owner. I have drove by this place a million times and finally stopped in. The ladies that took care of us were very nice, professional and quickly took care of us. It's one of the coolest little taverns I've been in, they have more bourbon and other liquors than your average small place. The food was outstanding, we started with the calamari platter. My friend in Delaware recommend this place for both the Greek food, and the bourbon selection. Boyf and I went on a Sat. night, but early enough we got 2 of the remaining bar seats. The staff was great, especially the bartender, who was just the right level of snarky. I had the Perfect Manhattan (actually two). Boyf sampled bourbons he had never had before. We went on Wednesday nite for a late dinner. We aren't too familiar with Delaware's parking options and had a hard time, but we found a spot. This is a nice hip, relaxing place with outdoor seating. We sat inside and amazed at all the bourbon selection! The waiter was very engaging and discussed some. We got an appetizer and it was huge. There were three of us and it would have been enough for four. The drinks were good, and we had two rounds. I haven't been to Opa in Years and wow have I been missing out! Their jalapeño poppers on the appetizer menu, might be the best poppers I have ever had and trust me I've had a lot. They were so good. Next up, I know bourbon is their main star but they had a fantastic beer selection as well, so the beer I got was great. Came here for the first time with friends. Food came out pretty fast. The gyros were good. But this pasta dish was absolutely terrifying. I have no idea how you could look at this dish and think "Yup, that looks great I'll serve that to a customer". The person who ordered it took a few bites and surrendered. THE WORST part was our waitress. Holy moly.. This lady was extremely rude. We had 6 people at the table. 3 couples. So we wanted 3 separate check. Rocket science right? This waitress said "that's not easy to do" and insisted we paid on one check..she was extremely frustrated that we were asking a simple request. We still tipped her very well in the end. Friday night, on October 1st was the worst service we have encountered and Opa has lost our business. We arrived before 5pm and the bar only had 4 gentlemen sitting there so we sat at the end of the bar. Chey was changing out beer kegs and the girl completely ignored us. She was making her way towards us and another patron approached the bar and she waited on her first. Then she brought the 4 gentlemen their appetizer and literally put her back slightly towards us without any acknowledgement. I would call this a bourbon bar which also serves greek food, but who cares when there is flaming cheese (Opa)! Oh the saganaki is so good here. They use Asiago, and and it perfectly crispy on the outside and soft cheesey goodness on the inside. I ordered the greek salad, which came with no feta. That was odd to me. For starters I want to say that the staff was absolutely amazing! We came in and it was super quite and my kids had a full blow melt down. (Couldn't sit at a high top because of other child needing a high chair) not only was our waitress super kind and giving us time and being so quite and polite. But then to have another come and make me feel better about having kids and they all have melt downs haha, so A+ for that.
