So I booked an apptmt via lifebooker...my go to for great spa deals…read more www.lifebooker.com/referral/sleopold22 It was $52 for a European facial...fairly cheap and I got to use my reward dollars. The space is confusing. It's inside Sorelle. There's a random set of stairs off to your right when you walk in, but no sign. I had to ask the front desk of Sorelle. The waiting area is meh. A random couch just kind of sitting there. It seemed haphazard. Also, there was no receptionist...which I kind of expected, but I just didnt know where to go or what to do. I am a nazi with time. She was running about 10 mins behind. Boo! Plus, I was on a tight schedule. The facial itself...well I have had a TON of facials and this was the most PAINFUL and unrelaxing as it gets. She used a tool on my face...which I don't mind. However, I do tend to get blackheads and she was scraping my face off. The bad thing about tools is I dont think they know how much pressure they are putting on your face. Literally I was wiggling around on the table like a little kid, tears streaming down my face...YOW! Omg, the worst ever. Like dug out my face...which I typically like, but it has never been this painful. Maybe steaming for longer would have helped open up the pores...? Also, she should have asked me because my face was red for two plus days. I had to wear makeup to cover up the redness. The massage part of the facial was really minimal. After she dug at my face for like 15 mins, it was like wipe, clean, and put on a serum. Overall, I don't think I would go back because it was SO painful...but she really got out a lot...you decide. I was in the mood for a relaxing spa experience and instead got tortured. HA! My blackheads are like almost nonexistent, but I am not sure it was worth the pain.

I would have liked to try Blush, but as soon as I mentioned the fact I was calling with regards to…read morethe Pretty In Pink special, the receptionist cut me off and asked for my name and number. That was FINE. I was sympathetic to the hard work they were doing with this amazing offer -- $31 for massages the month of October. The receptionist then proceeded to snap about how they'd had "hundreds" of calls, as if I was giving her attitude. I'm not leaving out any parts of this story, no snooty reply on my part, nothing. She said someone would call me back "if not today, then tomorrow." They never called. I'm sure I'm not the only one. I know I got lost in the pile, but for some reason that just infuriates me. Good, old fashioned business sense -- If you are going to participate in a special offer, you MUST be prepared to accommodate the appointments. How do you prepare? Hire a few temporary people to take calls, ask questions and make sure you know what you're getting into, circulate communication about the change among the staff... Either that, or take your participation down a notch -- offer less impressive services for the discount. You won't get as many calls. Or appreciate the valuable opportunity to expose hundreds of potential repeat customers to your exceptional services. Or don't. Just don't take a number, bitch at a potential customer (and we spend hundreds of dollars on these spa services) and consider their "discount" business so invaluable you don't call them back. Yes, a bit of a management-directed rant. But as someone who has had, god, 10+ customer service-oriented positions, I've been there myself, so I consider this justified. If I really wanted revenge, I'd say I came here, tried everything and it all sucked.
