We came to San Francisco Spark Social to attend our first Oogubi sensory experience back in summer . We had a blast at the event and so did our little one ,we actually returned a second time to attend the Aquatic Wonderland foam party as well . We definitely all need a parent timeout sometimes .. this experience offered some small talk with other parents , some unique food vendors and an awesome watermelon lemonade from the bar. Some of the food vendors and bar give us a discount because they partnered with oogubi for the day . Our son at first wasn't convinced he was "able" or wanting to get dirty but mom came prepared with extra clothes and wipes . I also got messy right along side him , all the kids were able to wash their hands near the entrance as well with a make shift sink . ( the restrooms weren't that far from the event tent either ) Restrooms are Gender neutral- but we used the right hand side restroom because it had a square cut out big enough to change a drenched diaper . My son loved the small running water sinks and colored water bins, musical instruments, seeing other kiddos interact with the different stations , us adults really like the dinosaur exploding volcanos with baking soda and vinegar pipets. Towards the end of the event we also purchased a cute monkey balloon that was holding a banana. read more

My son was originally afraid of the grinch when he saw him for the first time, but the grinch was so theatrical, festive and entertaining the whole event, by the end my son was ready for a hug and a picture with him! Such a great event, my son wanted to see snow but living in California, this was the by far the best way to give his the snow experience he's been asking for! Omg this was literally so much fun! The weather was perfect. Don't forget to put sunblock on your child. My daughter had so much fun she was out before we hit the freeway. We stayed the full 3 hours and went from station to station. By far the most favorite was the foam pit. So much fun and we definitely turned blue. It does come off. It took over a week for the stain to come off the little one's toes. We forgot to use the 10% discount you get discount on our food. They offer discounted items - mushroom powder and gym membership. There was the opportunity to take pictures with the mermaid and caption hook as well as purchase balloon art. read more

I came to SantaGrinchCon back in December and my two toddlers had a great time. Unfortunately, the weather was pretty bad that day and it was rainy for most of the time we were here, which makes everything a little more miserable given this event is outdoors and there are a lot of water/paint/foam materials that make an already wet kid even more wet. There were lots of activities available to keep the kids occupied for a while. My only suggestion would be that they should have had the foam pit more toward the back and not right by the front entrance. This is the activity where kids get the messiest and for some toddlers, they get super excited once they see it and they want to go to it right away versus making their rounds and coming back to this. It would have been good to have it in a less obvious location so it would be one of the later activities that they naturally do. Parking can be difficult so come early. read more

What a great idea and a setup! We tried our first ever Oogubi sensory play station at the Superbowl in East cut sf. Everything was great! We had just enough space, everyone was attentive, they were constantly refilling the play stations and doing minor cleanup, the stations themselves were soo fun! Our toddler was busy all 4 hours (2hrs of play and remaining 2 while the team was cleaning up). This exceeded my expectations especially given the super bowl craziness. The area was enclosed, safe, checkin process was smooth, straightforward and everyone was nice. She had a blast and we were able to get our break and watch the game. Highly recommend !!! read more

My 15 month grandchild and I happened upon the Sensory Play Pop Up at Noe Valley Courts on our weekly visit to the park. It was a real treat that we look forward to joining again. An amazing variety of different sensory stations including water play volcanoes, rainbow foam 'ice cream', colored bean-mills, tent painting, colored squishy floured dough, bright colored pasta noodles, mega legos, silicon gel-flow stepping stones, sidewalk chalk, a music table and more. We had a very disappointing experience at their pop up event on Main st in SF today. For $45 I was hoping for more than a few basic craft tables and a huge group of daycare kids. The bathrooms were also locked randomly before noon. I don't recommend it. read more

Such a cool experience! I just discovered Oogubi this past week, and we attended an event in SF for Father's Day. The event was very clean and orderly and my 2 year old LOVED it. She was totally entertained and my husband and I were able to just sit back and keep an eye on her and enjoy some drinks. We will definitely be attending more events. Oogubi never ceases to amaze me, especially their Wonderlands. Never in one place have I seen so many families enjoying themselves. Whether the parents are smiling from ear to ear as they watch their child engaged in sensory play or having the time and ability to enjoy an adult beverage with some of the yummy food from the surrounding food trucks (because their child is engaged in their sensory play) everyone is having a great time. I have been to several Wonderlands; every single one is different and unique. I don't know how Karina does it! As busy as you can imagine Karina must be coordinating an entertainment event with hundreds of people, she still finds the time to meet and talk to as many parents who come to her events as possible. Oogubi is a product of Karina's superpower for sure! I plan on attending many more Oogubi productions. I can't recommend them more. read more

I have had the pleasure of attending several Ooey Gooey events from birthday parties to socials and every event I go to, I'm blown away! Children need this kind of sensory play. Parents need a chance to be with other adults, socializing, enjoying themselves while their children are engaged in play. Ooey Gooey accomplishes both in a magical way. Hello! This is a LONG overdue review for Oogubi/Ooey Gooey Events and Karina the owner of this incredible business that is probably the only one that caters to kids and parents in equal measure. I stumbled upon Karina off a facebook group comment (!) and she was exactly what i was looking for (and the only one in the entire Bay Area) when I was thinking of how i could put together a birthday party in our backyard for my very sensory loving daughters 4th birthday. It was the first large bday event for Karina but you couldn't have guessed it. She went above and beyond in terms of the number of activities she had planned for the kids who came ready in rain boots and rain ponchos. I have never seen so many incredulous kids and parents at the chance to really get messy, take risks and immerse themselves! We had 25 kids and not a single tussle over sharing as they miraculously shared tables, supplies and created magic. They were mesmerized. She comes with her bright and happy energy and a can do attitude that is really all about making the event memorable. She doesn't cut corners - when she says she will come up with 5 ideas you know she can't help herself as she always goes over throwing in things at the last minute. It is a testament to her passion. I cannot recommend Oogubi enough - you can never regret it! I think it needs a franchise in every city across America as a service to children and parents! read more

We had so much fun at the Sensory Play Pop-Up at Parklab Gardens / Spark Social. There were so many sensory play stations like water tables, paint stations, gooey stations, musical instruments, toys, etc. The stations were all a perfect height for my 2 year old and she was able to participate in each one. She loved it! The best part was we were able to sit back and watch while socializing with our friends and eat/drink. There were yummy food trucks and a drinks truck that had wine, beer, cocktails, sangrias and warm mulled wine. They gave us a 10-15% discount for participating food trucks and the drinks truck. There were also plenty of picnic tables and comfy seating. We appreciated that we only had to pay for the kid and not pay for the adults. The pop-up event was 2 hours but we were having so much fun that we stayed an hour after the event to finish our drinks and have our toddler play with the remaining stations while they were cleaning up. Can't wait for the next one! Bring extra clothes and allow time to find street parking. read more

We had a blast at the Ooey Gooey holiday event. They had lots of fun activities for the kids to do, and each station had plenty of materials so nobody was waiting around for a turn. We were amazed at how engaged our 3 year-old son was. He cruised around from station to station for hours, and never got bored. We even stayed until the end of the event and our son wanted to help clean up because he was enjoying himself so much. It was really sweet. We were really impressed with the whole thing. We can tell that a lot of thought and care went into the planning of this event. It's a great place for kids to explore and be creative, with open-ended play, and lots of tactile fun. Prepare to get messy though, and bring spare clothes :) We will be back again for the next one! read more
