One word can describe OneSite Recon... Impressive. I purchased a Red 2006 Honda s2000 back in 2011 with only 24k miles on the odometer. The car's paint was flawless, however the front bumper was a shade darker than the rest of the car. Upon further inspection I came to the conclusion that it had been repainted at some point. Well 3 years later the bumpers clear coat started to lift, and I decided instead of spending a lot of time and money at a body shop, or the dealership that I would give OnSite Recon a call. The quote they gave me was hundreds less than any other body shops I called and they guarantee the work for as long as you own the vehicle. However the main reason I went with them was the fact that they would have all the work done in less than 4 hours at my house! I must admit, I was slightly skeptical about having my front bumper professionally repainted outdoors. I was also wondering how close they could paint match the rest of my vehicle since it's red, and red is a difficult color to match. Steve was my technician, and after talking with him about how the paint may turn out, and weather or not he would be able to match it 100% I gave him the green light. I'm glad I did. Not only was my car finished in under 4 hours but the bumpers paint looks 100x better than it did when I first purchased the car back in 2011. Not only was he able to match the paint, he also was kind enough to touch up 3+ years of paint chips on the hood and fenders. Very impressive! So if you don't want the hassle of a dealership, or body shop quoting you ungodly amounts of money for small repairs or keeping your car for days or even longer give OnSite Recon a call. While visiting VA Beach, I got a body shop estimate for fixing a nasty scratch on my rear bumper. Body shops tend to expect insurance to pay for extensive repairs. I found Onsite Recon on the Internet, and though I typically like to see more reviews I decided to give it a try. They responded to my email for an estimate within hours (significantly less than the body shop), and were able to schedule a visit to the home we were staying at the next day. Steve was extremely courteous and professional and had my bumper looking like new in an hour. He went above and beyond in trying get a dent out as well. My son scraped my car by accident with his bike handle. We sent pictures online to get a quote.. It BLEW MY MIND. $648. $648? $648!! For a 6 inch SCRATCH and another smaller one. WHAT? When my husband told me, I thought he was kidding. Thankfully, a new neighbor that moved into our neighborhood owns another local body shop, went out and looked at it in person, and quoted me for less than half. I backed into a rose bush next to our mailbox with a 2012 Honda Accord. The scratches were deep so, I knew I couldn't get by w/o doing something. So, I sent pics to the site and within a day got an estimate back. $200. Anyway, it was a good deal and they came out and wet sanded and buffed out the scratches. I've used these guys services three times when I lived in Va Beach and they knocked it out of the park every time! The first time, a friend surprised me with a birthday gift and had Steve come out and put a scratch guard strip on my Tacoma. While he was there, he found some much needed scratches that needed removed and finished by giving her a buff and wax. I ended up selling the truck a while later and the truck looked so good after their work, I got exactly what i paid for it after 5 years of ownership!! If you're trying to sell your car, call On Site--trust me, you'll make more money on the sale if you do! My second call to On Site was more of an emergency call. While parallel parking my wife's Jetta, I scratched up her nice alloy rims...pretty badly. I called On Site and they had it fixed in no time at all. I told her which rim I curbed and had her try and find where---she couldn't even tell where they did the repair! The most recent job I brought them out for was for an insurance repair job. A young lady drove into the side of my car in a parking lot and left a good sized scratch and small dent. Her insurance company cut me a $750 check to get it repaired at an auto body shop. I called On-Site and had it repaired in 90 minutes absolutely perfectly and got to keep about half the check for myself. Onsite Recon is a phenomenal service at surprisingly affordable price! I am looking to sell one my car, which had some rear bumper damage and was in need of cosmetic repair (rippled/cracked/missing paint, dents). I was initially unsure if it was worth it to have the bumper repaired prior to selling, but after a couple of hours with Steve's handiwork, the vehicles bumper looks brand new. Literally. The paint matches perfectly. Body-shop work would have taken taken days to complete, been twice as much...and they likely would have hired a company like On-site Recon to do the work for them anyway! Cut out the middle man, save money, and get the job done in your driveway. In addition, while the paint was drying, Steve went above and beyond, polishing my front headlights and doing little improvements here and there. I have no doubt that my On-site recon visit will more than pay for itself once I put the car on the market, considering it now looks near-new. I highly recommend Onsite Recon, they have the best customer service I have ever dealt with. Although, with my car they didn't nail the paint the first time, which is expected as it's a troublesome color that many body shops struggle with, in the end they did a great job. The waiting list for this service was 1-week, but after seeing that they did I can see why there a waiting list exists for this service. The paint technician Steve came out to (i) fix paint chips and (ii) fix scratch gashes on the side. Not only were both items taken care of with a great deal of care. Steven even polished/waxed the entire car panels that he worked on. Long story short: though these guyz have a bit of a waiting list, they are definitely worth the wait and their prices are fabulous relative to their competitors.
