I had tried them on beforehand, and my mind was made up. I asked for them, I tried them on, I tried on a few other pairs just to be sure, I made up my mind once and for all, I turned over my prescription, I opted for anti-reflective lenses, I paid. The entire process took less than 20 minutes. Only 5 days later, I got the call that they were ready for pickup. As much as I wanted to bolt to Manayunk that very evening, I had to wait until the following day... Which turned out to be the eve of Snowpocalypse, Part III*. I called ahead to make sure they were going to be open by the time I arrived from Center City... They couldn't be sure, but they offered to give me a call if they decided to head out early. Turns out I made it just in the nick of time. I like to think they stayed open just for me; then again, I'm a narcissist. BOTTOM LINE: The Eyeglass Works has hundreds of frames, friendly and helpful salespeople, and is an overall excellent eyeglass shop. PROTIP: There is a "10% Off" coupon on their website. Print it and use it! *We all know this petered out, but people were freaking out at the time.

She let me know that they don't take walk-in patients, but she would check with the doctor and ask if he was able to stay a little longer and see me. Dr. DiGiovanni agreed and examined my eyes. He assured me that it was not serious and gave me samples and recommendations on how to take care of the issue. I highly recommend a visit to Bala Eye Care for great service and expert care. Today, I had the newest Ophthalmologist for my second time. Dr. Jazmin Logendra saw me today after making the appointment yesterday because I was having issues because of my age. She spent forty five minutes with me, had other technicians run other scans and tests on my eyes. She put all the information together and will now discuss all of it with the Senior Ophthalmologist. She feels quite sure, based on the the information what has to be done to fix my issue. She is very kind, efficient, soft spoken, makes sure that I understand everything that she is saying. She also had me take short breaks because the positions were hard to hold! I would highly recommend Dr. Logendra for all of your eye needs. She is TOPS!

They are professional, highly knowledgeable, and they care about you and your eyes. I came here years ago and most recently returned. I love my new glasses and I love the new location. He took the time to explain in basic terms, ask questions about my vision health, and in general make sure I got the script that worked best for me. My consultation went great and I was told I was a great candidate. I went over all of my medical issues (high blood pressure and diabetes). I asked a lot of questions on what to expect the day of the procedure. Made the appt for 3 weeks later. I just moved to Philly so, I used that time to find a new primary care provider who did blood work for my diabetic meds. I had to make arrangements to get coverage at my work which I had to pay for (hotels and flights for the people I was able to get). I prepaid two Uber rides for the day of the procedure ($70) as well as using 2 precious days off. I arrived ahead of time and instead of being brought in for the procedure, I was put in a room with someone who proceeded to do more tests?! The person who conducted my consultation apparently didn't put anything in the file regarding my diabetes. Unreal. The person left to speak to the surgeon and came back after 15 mins to tell me 'sorry, the doc doesn't feel comfortable doing the procedure until he knows what your A1C number is'! What!! A complete waste of time and money. I paid the $1200 down. I have only received $400 of that back so far. Paid for Uber rides. Paid to have work people flown in and housed. What was I offered? A $500 discount if I rescheduled and got the procedure done within 30 days! Are you kidding me?! If I was told that I would need to get test results done I would have during the timeframe between the procedure consultation. I had bloodwork last week! They completely wasted my time and money. I am very surprised with how poorly this went and the lack of guest recovery to make this right. Based on how this went and lack of reconnecting with me or even showing me that I am a valued customer, I won't be rescheduling at this center. Shameful and probably the worst experience I've ever had. So much for being excited about improving my life. In the end, it was basically too bad, we screwed you and will talk to the consultant but, we don't care enough about my time being very valuable. Very poor care, business practice and worst guest recovery ever. Stay away!!

The people here are so lovely, organized, and professional. They knew we only have 30 minutes and helped us with everything they could do. Dr. John finished the exam in 10 minutes with extra advice. I'm super impressed how they still served other customers so nicely and efficiently at the same time. Fantastic management. But perhaps more importantly, a warm heart means everything. Additionally, I have a PPO with very low copays, but my last visit here which lasted 10 minutes with the doctor and almost two hours in the waiting room cost me over $200.
