I continue to be impressed with the variety of food choices around my work location in Hurst. After running an errand in the area, I was on the hunt for lunch and spotted Ono Poke. The place is clean and bright. The staff who helped me were all friendly, although it did take some convincing to get the young man behind the counter to douse my bowl with their spiciest sauce..but he eventually did. I got a build your own poke bowl-it includes a base (sushi rice for me), two proteins (tuna & cajun tuna) and unlimited other toppings, such as edamame, mushrooms, seaweed salad, radishes, crunchy onions & garlic, and a variety of sauces-lots of good stuff. Everything was incredibly fresh and tasty! I will likely be back and do recommend. read more

Sad to see my favorite Poke place is now under new management! I went in today and instantly knew something was off. I decided not to give the new place a try because I was anticipating the old ambiance. read more

My husband and I were SO EXCITED for a poke place to open in this area. Ono Poke DID NOT DISAPPOINT! There were a lot of proteins to chose from. The fish was fresh! I personally loved the Cajun Tuna! The atmosphere was great, staff was super friendly, and the place was very clean! Ono Poke is a must try for anyone looking for a poké place in the Mid-Cities area! read more

*edit: I'd love for the list of dressings to be posted like they have the other ingredients posted. Also - I left off the child menu, we have a two year old and a baby, both of our kids are decent eaters and try most food in front of them, that being said if you have young children I recommed hitting the drive through next door chick-fil-A as they only have poke bowls for kids. I'd love if they added some noodle dish or something else more kid friendly. read more

Easily my go to takeout spot during the pandemic. Clean, fast and generously plated, Ono poke has some great options for those on a low carb diet as well as those who aren't. I usually get the large bowl with the zoodles (one thing that isn't found in most poke places), with shrimp, salmon and tuna. The amount of seafood provided in each bowl is quite substantial, and the side veggies are delicious as well. Placing the order online is decent but their website isn't the best. However, it serves the purpose. Overall, nice restaurant, clean and while it is remarkably large inside, I'm glad to see the owners pivoting to a "lemonade stand" approach for the entrance. Just be sure to bring your own pen if you're going to order on site. read more

UNBELIEVABLY GOOD. I ordered the Yellow River Bowl with added seaweed salad. Perfect for me, but there are lots of red onions along with Tuna, crab meat and salmon, mango and edamame. Extremely good, large portion and $12, awesome deal! read more

I'm an avid poke lover, but most of my favorite poke places are along the CA And HI coastline. FOOD: Since this location is in the middle of Texas I can't expect it to be on par. That being said, this place has pretty fresh ingredients and delicious poke bowls for its location. Lots of sauce and mix-in options. Bummer you're limited to 5 mix-ins and the crab salad is considered a protein not a mix-in, but it makes sense given the lower priced bowl than other places like up in North Dallas. SERVICE: Excellent! Very kind to answer my questions on the phone and patient with my order changes when I realized I was limited to 5 mixins. I didn't have my mask with me so I called and he kindly (and promptly!) came out to my car to deliver. Received my food and paid within 2 minutes of parking! Overall, good deal for the price and pretty tasty! I'll definitely be coming back with the hubs to get his opinion :) read more

Ono Poke - REGULAR Size (2 protein) pole bowl: Salmon and crab salad over sushi rice - Salad Near Me - Hurst, Texas

I love Poke Bowls and has grown frustrated that I had to drive to Lewisville, Richardson or Dallas to get respectable Poke. Excited that Ono Poke opened nearby and that they offer quality ingredients and a variety of sauces. The space is very clean, trendy and neat. I would highly recommend across the board. read more

Ono Poke - Large pike w tuna, real, salmon, ginger, seaweed, mango, pineapple, cucumber and avocado ($extra). - Salad Near Me - Hurst, Texas

Easily the best poke restaurant I've been to -- friendly service, generous portions, and short wait times. The online ordering is a bit funny, but I prefer to order in-store anyways. When you arrive, there's a little area with slips of paper, which you fill out and leave at the end of the poke workstation. Some menu options are missing, but I was able to tell the kind chef what I wanted, and she didn't miss a beat. You can even watch the whole building process, which I thought was pretty cool! I get the salmon, tuna, and crab salad. My partner gets the tofu. All-in-all, I love this place and would eat here every day, if I could. The store is clean, and the food is fresh. I believe it's a family that runs the place, too -- their children are always well-behaved, and their presence never interferes with my dining experience. If anything, it reminds me that this shop is a beloved part of our community, run by hard workers just like you and me. Keep up the awesome work! read more

This little place is a gem. I have gotten the same poke bowl every time and every time it's wonderful! The inside is very cute and I don't mind grabbing a quick lunch alone. Service is always great! Fast and friendly and delicious! Highly recommend! read more

Good food with fair prices! I like the flexibility of the bowls and how you can personalize them. Business Is taking very good COVID precautions. read more

I've been to many poke places and can easily say this one is not good at all. First of all they charge you extra if you get over 5 toppings which I have absolutely never seen at any other place, and they also charge $1 extra for mango, which is unreasonable. For cream cheese and avocado I understand but have never seen anywhere else charge for mango. The poke sauce itself was not good and tasted literally just like wasabi and bad soy sauce. There are many places to eat in Dallas and Fort Worth, I would suggest trying elsewhere. read more

Ono Poke - Ono House Special Salad - Salad Near Me - Hurst, Texas

I tried poke for the first time a week before this visit and it fueled my cravings for the dish...went here with family and I wanted if poke quality was consistent since the previous two places (Maki & Poke, Kahuna's) dished out fresh poke bowls. Me and my son both ordered regular bowls that we could customize, I had Teriyaki salmon as my protein and my son got spicy tuna. Ono Poke stays similarly in price to other poke joints but differs as they use tiny ice cream scoopers to portion out your protein.. They both came on trays in compostable bowls which is an added bonus, but once we opened the lids it was somewhat of a letdown! :-/ The bowl was filled less than two-thirds, one-third of the bowl was rice, and my son was disappointed that the spicy tuna was served in tartare form. The bowl itself wasn't at all filling which was predictable from those ice cream scoopers... Dining area was clean and decor was fitting, but I wouldn't come back since there's better poke places near the area. read more

The bowls were super fresh and tasty. The fish was so good cause it was fresh. I love spicy tuna and cajun tuna. No fishy smell or anything. The overall atmosphere of the restaurant is clean and welcoming. I'd return if I ever crave a poke bowl again. On yelp, I didn't find any information about the limit of vegetable add-ons. You have maximum 5 add-ons so pick wisely. I recommend picking mango and edamame. They add so much texture and flavor to my bowl read more

Looking for an early bite to eat before the football game, I found Ono Poke on Yelp! The best parts of my poke bowl included 4-5 of the large shrimp (as one meat), spicy salmon (deliciousness with great spiciness), seaweed, cucumbers, all on top of the warm sushi rice topped with Miso sauce. This bowl was pure enjoyment! I love it when Yelp helps me find a great place to satisfy my hunger with food that I can enjoy. You can't go wrong with Ono Poke as you get to choose your base (noodles or rice), two hearty meats, and five veggie options. read more

Let me just start by saying I am from Hawaii, and I grew up eating actual, authentic poke. When I eat poke in Texas, I am by no means expecting "real" poke. I'm expecting that weird chipotle thing that all mainland poke places do. However... there is one thing that I absolutely cannot stand. Sushi rice (rice vinegar mixed in the rice) in poke. That is NOT how poke bowls are supposed to be made. I hate hate hate hate it when places do that. So I won't be coming here again. But if you like that, then you'll probably like this place! With that being said, the fish here was fine. It wasn't fishy, however the ahi was ground. Another thing I don't really like, but I will still eat it if the fish is fresh. You just don't know what kind of quality meat they are grinding up in there. The spicy ahi also didn't taste like actual spicy ahi, but it wasn't bad. I would say that if you haven't had actual poke, you will like this place. It's clean, the service was good, and there are a lot of options. If you're an authentic poke lover, you won't like it. read more

I love love LOVE this place! I've been here three times and have ordered the volcano as a sushirito (basically an un-sliced sushi roll). It's literally everything I want in a sushi craving - spicy tuna, spicy salmon, avocado, cucumber, and spicy mayo - for a 1/4 of the price. However, you can make your own sushirito or bowl with any of the ingredients you see in front of you (think Chipotle/Subway but much classier and no tummy aches)! One thing I don't like: pre-service tipping at a non-service restaurant. Everything is self-serve besides the food. Literally. You can (and you should) throw away your own trash at the trash bin by the door, water is self-serve, napkins, utensils and condiments are all self-serve... but tipping at these establishments are subjective, so that doesn't dock a star from me. 5-stars all the way. read more

My favorite poke place. So many different options to choose from, and they give you such a good amount of everything. A lot of poke places here tend to be a little greedy with their rice but this place always packs it. Perfect. read more

I'm a food critic. My son decided to take us as a family. First time, we arrived little late. The food was superb, owners very friendly and the atmosphere was great. The food was awesome, the Miso soup had a great flavor. And the food, "rocks". I recommend, very healthy and nutritious. Thank you for the wonderful experience. read more

I really love Ono Poke. The owners put a lot of effort into this mom-and-pop poke shop and you can tell by their attention to detail, the freshness of the individual ingredients, and the care put into the presentation (even for to-go bowls). I appreciate that their carry out containers are biodegradable and the bag is a paper. My spouse and I both wish there were options for not-sweet sauces other than spicy mayo (is it possible that I am just missing them?), but that such a small thing when everything else is great. read more

Walking out of Office Depot & right across the lane was Ono Poke . . . Humm . . I wonder what this? It is lunch time. What a delicious surprise!! The very young manager that helped me was knowledgeable & a delight. I could not possible remember the spicy chicken dish in a heavy sauce but I loved. And the Naan bread is perfect to sop up every morsel. read more

Being from Hawaii, I am VERY picky about my Poke. I had tried other places around the metroplex that certainly did not meet my expectations, but I still give every spot a chance. Ono Poke is a very discreet looking restaurant from the outside, but once you step inside, it is bright, clean, and warm. The place is very welcoming! The staff were very nice and greeted me at the door. I decided to make my own large bowl for $10.99. WELL worth it. You get to choose three proteins and a carb. I opted for ahi, spicy salmon, and cajun blackened ahi over sushi rice. I added a bunch of veggie options (up to 5 choices) and toppings. Highly recommend the seaweed salad, lotus root chips, fried garlic, and ginger! For the sauce I chose the house miso, but I'm certain you can choose more than one. The ingredients were clean and crispy, and the fish was as fresh as you can get considering how far we are from the ocean. No fishy taste! I felt absolutely no guilt eating this as I was stuffed to the brim. The miso sauce really complimented everything I had in the bowl. Try this place if you want a healthy option that satisfies you!! read more

I have been eating here once or twice a week for nearly a year. Every single time my order is perfect! Except for today..... They messed up my poke bowl by adding a wrong ingredient and leaving off an ingredient. Once I noticed, they were quick to make me up a new bowl. The second bowl wasn't quite right either so they made up another bowl! Perfect order and perfectly gracious about getting it right! I will be back next week and keep bringing friends. I really enjoyed my sushirito and my wife had a great bowl. Was super full. Good prices and fresh food.

First thing could not tell if they were open. There outside lights are not on. When you walk in no greeting and only one person working. I did not know that I need to fill out the paperwork to place an order. They need two people working, one to take care of the to go orders and another one to take care of the walk in customer (Reason for 4 stars instead of 5 stars). She was only concerned about taking care of the to go and pickup orders first. Otherwise the food is great! read more

Good taste and polite staff. Very small scoops of fish, that's why the stars are low. Love the seaweed salad!

Nice and clean restaurant. Husband and I went with regular poke bowl with 2 meat scoops i did chose spicy Tuna and Cajun Tuna, with sushi rice. Then we can add 5 toppings. Of these mango, avocado, and cream cheese are an extra $1. Loved what i ate. Even husband did. We didn't try light bulb drinks and yogurt drinks, will give it a try as they look very tempting and colorful. read more
