However, I believe their prices were reasonable for a souvenir shop in a touristy city in a touristy area. The staff were helpful and the store itself was clean and well organized. It was pretty small though, which is usual for any San Francisco unit. Overall, I think it is a good place to shop for souvenirs, although not all products are related to the area or the local culture.

It's seems I have to play tourist and tour guide on some holiday weekends. People I talk to from…read morearound the United States and the world seem to have a confusion when it comes to the term " The Bay". You see I met people from Montego Bay and Green Bay and some are even confused at Fisherman' Wharf when they think Monterey Bay aquarium is in the San Francisco. The term the Bay seems like catch all marketing term for the region surrounding San Francisco. I make sure if it's in San Francisco not to use the term the Bay to cause any mass confusion. I was born and raised in San Francisco simple and plain. So when I went The Bay store at Fisherman Wharfs it was in the city and county limits of San Francisco. The Bay is a store which serves souvenirs of all things San Francisco. This store has NBA, NFL, MLB licensed merchandise which some souvenir stores don't carry. They also have ironic T-shirts and clothing along with refrigerator magnets. You can also find different types of hats along with housewares that have San Francisco on the logo. This is a good place to check out if you are looking for San Francisco related merchandise. What you won't find any other shirts or merchandise from any Bay Area city other than San Francisco. You won't see a shirt that says Oakland or any other surrounding cities. So if anybody is flying to the Super Bowl in 2026 it's not in San Francisco and definitely do not fly to the Oakland San Francisco Bay Airport and remember you are miles away. The closest airport to the Super Bowl would be San Jose Mineta Airport because the 49ers Levi's stadium is in the Bay ( not Green Bay) in Santa Clara. The term which is confusing to reference about San Francisco is the term "Bay" is a construct catch all term for the surrounding cities which is often lost in translation if it's attached to another place like "Monterey" inside the store you will see lots of San Francisco items on " display" people think San Francisco its Halloween every time because the people wear the Halloween colors of the SF Giants gear "everyday " The store named The Bay is located in San Francisco and not the Monterey Old Fisherman's "Wharf " the term The Bay just got out of control and just " morph" into people thinking just because you are next door or a few miles away you are on the" turf " in San Francisco the best city on " earth"
