Last November, I FINALLY tried my first DevaCurl products: no-poo original and arc angel gel. Immediately I saw a difference. I purchased a few more products and started experimenting. I knew I liked the results with just using the products, but my hair didn't exactly have the volume, lift, and bounce that I wanted it to. I've had quite a bit of hormonal hair loss over the last few years, so my hair that was already thin at the top was only being weighed down. After looking at DevaCurl's website and searching for a DevaCut certified stylist in my area, I found Christina. I made my first appointment for the beginning of December and I can never go back to a "regular" haircut! The DevaCut process is so meticulous and unique. My curly hair (3A/3B) has never looked better! I actually enjoy styling my hair now because it is so much easier! Christina is very personable and easy to talk to. Aside from that, she is so talented and knowledgeable about DevaCurl's products and what would work best for my hair. She makes it a fun experience while giving tips and tricks along the way. She was very quick to respond, texted me a question to ensure I had the right amount of time set aside. I had a little bit of a hard time finding it. I have even been to the BBQ place right next door, but never really noticed the salons right next door. It says "Salons Etc." and it seems to be set up where there is a main entrance and then stylists have their own private mini salons. Very cute. Dana was very pleasant, professional, enjoyable to be around. She did a great job with my highlights and cut. I made a follow-up appointment, and again had a great experience with requesting a time online and the appointment was confirmed in less than an hour. I did not find the being on the phone thing mentioned in a few other reviews to be an issue. But honestly, I wouldn't have a problem with it anyway. My expectation/hope when I get my hair done is to walk out with hair I'm happy with. Glancing at a phone or answering a text is irrelevant to that. She's doing everything herself, so I would think she might need to multitask a little sometimes?

I have been getting my hair colored since 13 and aware of the capabilities and limitations, but this is so subpar for $400. Hopefully, it will lighten up after a few washes/will have to go elsewhere to get it corrected. Also, I despise a salon that requires that you purchase a blow dry. $70 extra so I can see what color you turned my hair? Am I supposed to walk out with it wet? The blow dry is not a full, bouncy blowout either. It's what you'd do yourself at your house. Added negative, I referred my mother to the salon and was told by her that I'd receive a referral gift. I didn't mention at checkout because I wanted to see if it was worth coming back to. Unfortunately, I think I'm done here.

I had hair down my butt, and when I left the salon, my hair was just below my shoulders when straightened. We always found new colors and new styles and he never gets bored of trying something new!!! The staff is amazing, the salon is chic and comfortable and I always left feeling like a model! I actually a few years ago after moving to Atlanta and having so many colorists mess up my hair, drove 12 hours to see Giorgio for my birthday so he could fix my hair!! This place rules…read more First, a confession: I've been dying my own hair for years. The last time I went somewhere to get my hair done I left in tears - the chick totally ruined my hair. Fast forward years later, my hair is in need of a cut and color and I just didn't feel up to it. A friend of mine told me about Lola ( specifically Meghan), and I was feeling saucy and had a babysitter, so I called and booked an appointment. I ended up getting there too early, so I got some work done while I waited. It has a nice cool vibe there, and they feature jewelry to buy from local artists - how cool is that? Meghan is an adorable tall irish chick. She may or may not be an elf from Lord of the Rings. I'm not sure, because her skin is flawless and i'm pretty sure she doesn't age. She's a lot friendlier and happier than the elves from LotR though, so who knows. I told her of my past experience, and she made me feel comfortable right away. As I sat in the side room, tin foil in hair, hair cooking, thinking of the movie Signs, I got to sip a glass of red wine. I didn't even have to smuggle it in, they have wine for their customers. After your hair is rinsed out and shampooed they put conditioner in and then cover your head with a hot towel to help the conditioner soak in. While the hot towel is on you get a hand massage. The hand oil they have is awesome, it soaks in right away and made my hands feel super soft. As someone who constantly applies hand lotion, I was super impressed. After my hair was rinsed out I got to see it - and I loved it! It was exactly what I wanted. I felt SO relieved and happy that I went to Lola. As Meghan finished up by cutting my hair I watched the digital frame on her desk. The slideshow included Christine Hendricks and Karen Gillan, so Lola immediately gets 100 points for including Joan AND Amy Pond. I love how my hair turned out, and it's all thanks to Meghan. I'm so glad I decided to go to Lola and didn't let that other place deter me from all salons forever. Meghan, you are a lifesaver! If you call to book an appointment, ask for her, she rules. We've spent thousands of dollars over time and built what we thought was a positive relationship with your team. However, I'm deeply disappointed by how I was treated recently. Months ago, I had to cancel an appointment on the day our beloved golden retriever passed away. It was an emotional, heartbreaking day, and canceling was not a decision I took lightly. Since then, I attempted to rebook verbally for a future date and called to confirm--only to be told you would no longer accept advance bookings from me. I was told I could only do same-day appointments due to "multiple cancellations." One of those was the day my dog died. The lack of empathy, understanding, or even basic professional courtesy in this situation is staggering. There was no outreach, no consideration for our long history as paying, respectful clients. Instead, I was shut out. This is not how a professional salon should treat anyone--let alone a loyal customer. I'm shocked and hurt by the cold, dismissive response I received, and I'm still waiting to hear from a manager. Frankly, I don't understand what kind of customer service process allows for this kind of treatment. I won't be returning, and I wouldn't recommend your salon to others based on this experience.
