I LOVED my appointment at Salon Neapolitan. My stylist was Evelyn and she was incredibly sweet and professional. I really appreciated how she asked about my prior haircut history and made sure to provide the best customer service. During each step in my haircut she made sure to communicate what she was doing and made sure to respect how long I wanted to keep my hair. I've had way too many horror stories of stylists chopping off more hair than intended and I'm so glad that was not the case here. I felt like I was being treated with the utmost care and respect and the conversation was very pleasant. As for my actual hair- it's amazing. I have never had a cut that's as clean, light, and full of movement as my current hair is. I can't wait until my hair grows out so I can go back !! Beauty school technique with high end salon prices Don't go here unless you want to end up with the polar opposite of what you are looking for. Manda scouted me on Facebook and I liked her posts and decided to accept her invite to connect and chatted with her on what I have been through, what I do NOT want and what I was aiming for. I sent her pics, I set up a consultation and made an appointment with her for a month out. I thought I took all the proper measures considering she wasn't personally referred to me. She seemed personable and understanding, right until I saw the end result. I was honest and told her I really didn't like it. Her demeanor immediately switched and her response, with her eyes practically bulging out of her skull was, "WHAT DO YOU MEAN?! I COVERED ALL YOUR GRAYS!!" This was a very tasteless response. First off, I don't have a full head of grays. That was NEVER even a topic. Grays have never been my issue. As a matter of fact, I WANTED to aim for the gray/ platinum look. Which goes to show that she did not give me anything near what I was looking for. Her reaction was very poor. A true professional prides themselves with their work and aim to make the client feel and look their best self and will correct the problem. If you go to the nail salon and ask for long square nails and you get short round ones, and the tech gets pissed at you because THEY think it looks good, that's poor service. I was paired up with a "Master Stylist" that only has 2 years experience cutting hair which I didn't know until after she started cutting. Showing a picture of long layers wasn't enough, I had to guide her on how to cut my hair. I was surrounded by a salon full of toddlers getting their hair cut which clearly is their specialty. It's no wonder I left looking like Shirley Temple. After processing this for the rest of the weekend and still feeling terrible about my experience and my hair, I called and left a message for the owner of the salon to please contact me. I got a call from a manger almost a week later and told her I would rather speak to the owner. It's been over 2 weeks. I never received a call. Writing this review was the last measure I cared to take but clearly she doesn't care about her business. Now I'm out $300 and have to spend another $300 on getting this brassy mess and bad hair cut corrected. Save yourself the stress and bad treatment I went through. I gave ample time for a resolution of some sort and was never contacted. Preventing someone from having the same horrible experience is resolution enough. read more

I stumbled across this salon when I was desperately trying to get my hair colored before the lock down last March. I had just had a baby and it was an entire year (practically) since I was able to get my hair colored and I was desperate. I knew that my usual salon was not taking any appointments and therefore I was lucky enough to see Evelyn at Salon Neapolitan. I have to admit, she is young which scared me at first but probably the most talented hair colorist I have ever seen. I have now twice just showed her a picture of what I wanted & she was able to replicate it perfectly. I have had lots of hair coloring struggles and can never seem to find somebody who is consistent and accurate. Evelyn is obviously a natural and I'm so happy I found her! read more

Marek Ashley purchased my previous salon in Wheaton which I didn't realize until I called to make an appt with my favorite stylist. What a complete disappointment :( Receptionist on the phone was rude and told me they had no openings for the next 3 months, which turned out to be false. When I arrived at the salon the same person was very cold and unwelcoming. My biggest disappointment was when I got the bill which reflected a 30% increase from my last visit. There is no reason for this other than greed. This is a suburban salon in an office park next to the train tracks not some high rent place in the city. New owners obviously are making a money grab. Will not return and do not recommend. read more

I have been coming to this salon for many years. I have always been a satisfied customer. I went into the salon to get a haircut last Friday and I asked for someone who has experience with dealing with hair extensions and she told me she does. She round brushed my hair after my haircut so I couldn't see it straight and when I finally washed my hair, this is what it looked like. When I called to complain, Ron, the new owner blamed it on my extensions slipping but I told them they are in place as before, also when I asked Ron if you are supposed to cut extensions while the hair is wet or dry and he told me you can cut it either way and the reason I asked because I remember I usually get my hair extension cut while it's dry but this time I got it cut while it's wet. They offered to refund the hair cut but what I wanted is my extensions replaced because now they cut 7 inches off it. Ron told me that since I did not have my extension installed at his salon, he won't cover my extension. The end product is my extension is in the same position minus several inches of length. I wish everyone well but I just want people to be informed and be careful. Lesson learn. read more

A friend recommended Nicolle to me a while back. I have been extremely happy with my haircuts by Nicolle. The only regret I have is that I didn't come here sooner. The salon is spacious and the parking is great. The staff is very friendly. Nicolle is also extremely good with color. She recently transitioned me from coloring my hair to "embracing my gray ". I am very pleased with the results. Instead of having to retouch my roots monthly I have highlights/lowlights done every 6 months or so. read more

I had a bit of a hard time finding the location, as it's in an inconspicuous location. However, upon walking in it's a gorgeous and spacious salon - blending femininity and industrialism to create something cool. I came in for a trim and Evelyn did a fantastic job! Before washing my hair she checked to see what I was after, any concerns, etc... She did a wonderful job cutting my hair, was very friendly (but not in the over the top way) and knowledgeable. I just moved to Wheaton from Kansas City and needed a new stylist. I looked on Yelp and found Salon Neapolitan! The service was great right from the start!! I loved my stylist Sabryna. She did a highlight and base touch up! My hair looks beautiful!!! The prices were a bit higher than back home but I'm a firm believer in you get what you pay for. You guys. The new salon is beautiful!!! Nicole must have an amazing eye for design, because you don't want to leave once you enter in through the door. Everything about the new space was so well planned. It has a lovely rustic/industrial feel, but it still so cozy and inviting. There's even an outdoor patio...I just need a glass of wine and we're set! They have upgraded their wash station, their chairs, their hairdryers...literally everything is new and amazing! I really value the amount of consideration that was put into this place to make it more efficient and enjoyable for the employees to work there. I didn't want to leave after my appointment because it's just such a fun and relaxing place to be at! They have also started carrying the entire R+Co line of hair products, which I really like! The products smell so good (the brand even makes a perfume!) and they offer a wide selection of their items for sale in the salon. Overall, I was just blown away by how perfect all of the changes are! On to the real best part - Evelyn! I found some "hair goals" pictures and Evelyn just knew right away what we were aiming for long-term. She takes her work and her clients very seriously, while creating excellent outcomes and forming great relationships. I never curl my hair. I never have stylists curl my hair. It's always awful. But, back to the hair goals pictures, I wanted to branch out and try a loose wave/curl. She was all for it and I trusted her completely! As expected, my hair came out stunning. It looked so fresh and the curls gave me so much volume! The R+Co products were awesome and Evelyn did the perfect loose curl. This girl is so talented and I already can't wait to go back. I hope they have some sort of open house when the patio opens up! Love this place. Went there for a Rezo cut since I have natural wavy/curly hair and I needed it cut. The stylist who did my hair was actually the owner. It was nice to see she was out there with the rest of the stylists and not stuck in an office somewhere. Everyone was so polite and kind.
