I've coming to C'zar, previously Namaste, for 5 years. I'll keep this brief because I'm known to talk too much and this could get long very quick. I've been getting my hair dyed since middle school. I'm very picky about my Latina hair texture, how it looks, how it's styled, and just... everything. I'm extra like that. However, Andrew is the ONLY HUMAN on this earth is trust with my hair (second to Papa God). My husband and I have considered moving to a different state twice in the past couple of years. When this happens, I don't think about the usual adult things like what am I going to do about my job? The dog? The house? I think.... How am I going to find someone like Andrew to do my hair? If you want someone who will tell you how it is, knows what looks good on you, and will put your hair first over his bottom line, that's Andrew. One time I considered getting a very expensive treatment done (think +$400 keratin treatment), which I'm sure he would've made good money on, and he flat out said "Bella, you don't need that. I'll do it if you really want to, but you don't need it." Absolute pleasure spending my hard earned money at C'zar. The people are amazing (so kind and funny and just human), the atmosphere is so relaxing, plus you can get hand massages and scalp massages when you get shampooed. Coming here is my little slice of Heaven!!! For reference for the pics: I always get balaye-type coloring done. Glazes in between. I come every 2-3 months ish. read more

This post will mostly be about my incredible massage therapist and Chinese medicine goddess: Chona (like Donna with a CH). I don't think any massage by Chona is the exact same flow. She listens to your body and follows her intuition. Instead of kneading out the knots, she loosens the acupressure spots and releases tension. I also explored acupuncture with her which was a really cool experience. I always leave the spa feeling like a noodle:) I've been to the other Czar salon/spas and this is by far the most modern. I love that the spa is upstairs and away from the hustle/bustle of the salon. It is still a bit distracting because there are hair chairs/space that share a wall with the spa rooms. I guess that's just what you get for going to a spa inside a salon. I'm considering booking their acupuncture /massage special because Chona is incredible. She's been very helpful on my healing journey. read more

I got my haircut here with Bailee about a month ago and she was great! I love how welcoming C'zar is. From the owners to all of the employees, everyone is professional and kind. Their services are fair priced and their product selection is fabulous. Do yourself a favor and try the Davies oi oil and the Aveda dry shampoo. Danielle got me hooked!!! I appreciate the safety precautions they take here to keep the space extra clean. I'm talking sanitation after leaving each station- they are ON IT. They quote you over the phone for $150.00 for touch up on my hair color and partial highlights. When I get to my appointment I tell the hairdresser (Gustavo) what I wanted, he comes back and tells me it's going to be $400.00 for: Complimentary Hair Color Consultation (in-person) with Gustavo Balayage - Full with Gustavo +Add Botanical Repair Treatment with Gustavo +Add Davines Herbal Tailoring Treatment with Gustavo +Add Tonal Glaze with Gustavo Extra Color Bowl or Demi (+40g) with Gustavo Extra Color Bowl or Demi (+40g) with Gustavo Blow Dry & Style (Classic Round Brush Soft Set) with Gustavo Extra Color Bowl or Demi (+40g) with Gustavo +Add Tonal Glaze with Gustavo. I have been going to this salon for the past 4 years and have trusted Ashley whole heartedly, and she has killed it every time! She has saved my hair on multiple occasions and my hair and I are very thankful! The atmosphere of the salon is so serene that I almost find myself falling asleep during my wash because I am so calm! The head and hand massages also play a huge factor! The team is so friendly and always in a great mood (that's hard to find these days, which I'm very thankful for). I've been coming here since the summer because I finally wanted a change from my red box dyed hair. I booked with Gustavo and I love him so much. He was completely honest with me from the beginning and he even laid out a plan to successfully get to my goal color. He does an amazing job each time and my hair has never looked so good which has boosted my confidence. Ok, let me start by saying that everyone I've come in contact with at this salon is amazing! Even the young man Hayden at the front desk was a doll! I came in for my scheduled facial peel and was greeted right away by Heather, she had a warm smile and looked so excited to see me. She remembered my name from a previous yelp event and took me right up to start my facial. She remembered my wedding was coming up and let me know she had everything ready for me! The room upstairs was nice and clean and the music was very relaxing. I changed in to my soft robe and she started on my face. The entire process was so relaxing that I fell asleep a few times. She massaged my arms and shoulders and I was in total bliss! The facial peel was not painful but she made sure to check my levels Incase it was becoming uncomfortable. She was SO knowledgeable and really made me feel like a VIP customer. I originally mentioned I was possibly wanting extractions but she let me know the routine she thought would best serve my face. I left so relaxed and I honestly felt like I had found my new best friend ( sounds funny but really she was the sweetest) I could instantly see the change in my face it was so smooth and tight I couldn't believe it. She sent me home with a follow up kit that included SPF, cleanser and moisturizer from the brand she used. The next day my face was PERFECT I didn't even need to apply any makeup it looked so healthy. I got a lot of compliments at work they kept saying I looked very fresh and that I was glowing. I made another appointment for about 5 weeks out and will definitely be a regular here. There is one closer to my house but I don't mind driving to Wheaton to see Heather. This rating is based on a very bad hair cut and poor client service. Alicia was the stylist. Very nice girl but needs more training!!!! After washing and conditioning my hair she applied tons of stying mousse, styling spray, leave-in conditioner and then a hair oil. My hair looked and felt disgusting. She blew dry my hair and then cut the face framing layers which did not end well. She admitted they were not even but was unable to fix them. I called the salon as soon as I got home to tell them how unhappy I was. Their policy is to have the stylist fix the problem. If she couldn't fix it at the appointment, I was not about to let her near my hair again. Erin called the next day. I assume she is a manager. I returned her call and it has been over one week and she has yet to get back to me. In addition, they did not post my negative review on their website. read more

Andrew did an amazing job cutting my hair. It was my first visit to the salon, and he did a wonderful job at listening to what I wanted and how I needed my hair to fit my life. He made me feel so welcomed and relaxed. My haircut looked amazing day one (my sister was dying to book a cut after she saw it) and is so easy to maintain - it looks great with no styling. Everyone at the salon was very kind and professional. For COVID precautions, they ask that you wait to be let in at the door, wear a mask, have your temperature taken, and have limited staff in the building. I felt like it was very safe and clean. Let me start off with staff is very delightful. But this is mostly a review for my last experience. i came in. told her what the problem/issue was and she said she could make it better. stupid me trusted her and was not better. cut my hair shorter not even evening it out. at this point i'm just over this salon. and pissed with the person i had. my usual stylist when i used to go here left so took a chance. I'm just upset that i have to wait for my hair to grow back. thats all. because you know it doesn't grow back instantly so just being patient for awhile is upsetting and ruined my experience here. read more

This was one of my first adventures out after the covid lockdowns and it was an amazing experience! Everyone on staff is taking precautions very seriously and I honestly have not felt that safe and germ free anywhere else I have been! They were so thorough in keeping all guests safe but somehow still made it feel almost like just a normal trip to the salon. They are all so welcoming and kind, and it was so peaceful the whole afternoon :) Gina is the stylist I see and she is hands down the best hair stylist I have ever seen in my life, and I have experimented quite a bit with my hair over the years. STAY AWAY! This was my first appointment and my last. I was greeted by a junior stylist and left sitting in the chair for 40 minutes waiting for a color treatment. It was really awkward. The stylist seemed sweet, but seemed very unsure of herself, as she required me to sign a form regarding the outcome of my hair color. I was really surprised. I have never been to a professional salon and been treated this way. I was in the chair for 4 hours and the final result was nothing even remotely close to my color request of blonde highlights. I showed her pictures on my phone of the color request and the final result was dramatically different. My hair was left damaged and a dark chocolate color. The "highlights" were barely visible. It looked like I was wearing a brown hat on my head when I left the salon. It was so upsetting. I felt like I had no recourse because I had signed a form (ultimately for the salon's protection, not my customer satisfaction) and paid close to $300 (yes, I did tip the stylist 20% for her time) for a treatment that was absolutely awful. And the haircut was not tailored at all -- straight across, a dry cut, with no attention to detail. I ended up going to another salon the following week and got exactly what I asked for -- a beautiful color and cut in 2 1/2 hours for $220. This is the most expensive color and cut correction I have ever encountered. It is also the first Yelp review I have posted. I would not go near C'zar Salon! read more
