Zen Vegan Bowl with miso soup!
    Jimmy C.

Ahhh! The same o' zen bowl I once personally have back in Kearny St! Gotta have variety in one bowl instead of having the same meat and seafood cubes that make a meal comfortable. Edamame, carrot strips, hijiki, cucumbers, you name it, you choose it. With free cup of miso soup to-go, why must I include a beverage of choice? Onigilly, at the very center of Stonestown Galleria, would never disappoint everyone's palates. The best kitchen replaced the coffee shop to receive the center of attention. The atmosphere that surrounded Onigilly with fresh, umami scented, ingredients could make quite a spectacle. Highly recommended.

Randomly stopped at this spot on a walk home. They were so quick and had so many different onigiri options/flavors. We got a spam and eel and both were so tasty. They were decent in size too. I would recommend!

Food is always delicious, everytime I go to stonestown I gotta stop by and pick one up!

Ordered a combo set of 2 baked salmon + 1 teriyaki chicken onigiri with edamame, chicken karaage, pickled radish and egg. Convenient ordering via a machine. Priced around $15-$16. Service was quick. Food was just okay. I wouldn't eat here again but it does the trick if you're very hungry.

I don't normally eat onigiri often, but I was getting a little hungry waiting around for my family to shop lol. I was standing nearby; this establishment was right in the center of the mall and it seemed to be a quick service. I got the tuna mayo and crab salad, while my boyfriend got the chicken teriyaki. The wait wasn't too long, about 5 minutes or so. I thought I wouldn't get full off of one, but I did! The tuna mayo was really good and definitely filled me up. My boyfriend enjoyed his chicken teriyaki onigiri and he also ended up eating my crab salad onigiri too haha. I'll definitely stop by again when we're at Stonestown! It's fast, convenient, and delicious!

Shrimp Tempura, chicken teriyaki, spam masubi - all good

Exactly what we needed. Small warm delicious bites. We got shrimp tempura, spam and chicken teriyaki - all really good. The place is in the mall and outside the food court so very casual, grab&go and there is no seating. Food came pretty fast but there was also no line.

Great convenience in snacking while shopping. The food is good and fresh. The service was fast but they were not aware of how to join the bonus program. The kiosk monitors are big and easy to work with. The store is clean and well situated in the center of the mall. Close to the entrances too. I will be back again soon

We stopped by Onigilly for a snack, a little musubi. The prices are very good, the space is clean. You order from a large screen, it's very quick and efficient. We got 2 spicy tuna poke musubi, it includes crab salad and furikake. They were very big, I thought the fish and crab was a good pair. It was a little spicy, if you don't like spice maybe not for you. I was really happy with the musubi. The rice was nice, not too mushy. This is a solid filling snack for $5-6. If you have a chance, I highly recommend stopping by for a musubi!

Super Quick. Seaweed is nice and crisp. Rice is a little hard. Love that they have a reward system and mark GF/veg on their menu. Got the miso Eggplant and Spam onigiri. Both had nice flavor though I liked the salty sweet of the spam better. Nice option for a quick bite.

We were craving a snack in the mall and between 2 people we shared their snow crab and unagi onigiri. Both were good, but the seaweed was not crispy at all, even though we ate it right away. The protein in the onigiri was tasty, and we both preferred the unagi one, since it was more flavorful. Service was pretty quick.

Snack or meal, super simple and easy to eat. Choose from bowls, combos, or just one item. Can't miss the place since it's at the center of the escalators. Weekday lunch had no line, but weekend usually has lines. Order at kiosks on the side of the upstairs escalator, the left hand side, and pickup is on the right hand side. Baked salmon onigiri was $4.70 (surcharge included). Received my order quickly. Mostly a to go place, luckily there's seating on the second floor food court. The nori (seaweed) was crunchy as you ate the onigiri. There's plenty of baked salmon throughout my bites. Was not too salty or vinegary either for the rice. Definitely pretty filling snack/light lunch.

    Snow crab onigilly. Wasn't fresh
    Ry T.

I just wanted to grab a quick midday snack before dinner. Hubby suggested I get the snow crab as I love crab. There was only 1 person ahead of me. I should've asked the staff what was fresh that day but maybe they might not know. The portion is decent and the rice was still warm. After tax, it was over $5 for the snow crab onigilly but i wouldn't order again. Theres also a 4.25% SF mandate charge. One bite and you could tell the crab wasn't fresh or it was canned crab. It didn't taste spoiled but it was fishy. Having bought 2 fresh, live crab from the wharf fishermen a couple weeks ago, this crab meat was subpar in taste. I might be willing to return to try a non seafood one next time.

The restaurant is narrow with tables of four on either side. Tons of photos and hand drawn pictures are taped on the walls. We were warmly greeted and both sushi, lunch, and dinner menus and cups of hot tea were brought over. We each ordered off the laminated lunch menu. Miso soup came with each order. They offer a daily student lunch special as Lincoln HS is located nearby. When I asked about the student lunch special I was told anyone could take advantage of the special. Our orders were quickly made and brought to our table - * daughter had bento combo lunch A - chicken teriyaki, tempura with one shrimp, and four pieces California roll * I had bento lunch combo T - tempura with one shrimp, four slices sashimi, and four pieces of California roll. All good. * hubby got katsu chicken donburi - it was like chicken karaage rather than chicken cutlet. He said good. Once again we were pleasantly surprised at the number of to go orders placed while we dined in. I can't tell you how many times I've walked by this restaurant thinking how does a small business owner survive. Goes to show can't judge a book by its cover. Each time a local entered he/she was greeted by name. Service was attentive and our tea cups constantly refilled. So far I'm sticking to my 2026 eat local in the 'hood list. This being #6.

Since the space is quite small, it can get pretty busy. I always order the Beef Amiyaki (grilled marinated USDA ribeye steak). It arrives in a sizzling hot pan, and the aroma is mouth-watering. Two dishes in particular were especially unenjoyable. The ramen was not to our taste at all, and the calamari was very underwhelming, the batter had little to no flavor. We eat at Japanese restaurants often, so this wasn't a matter of being unfamiliar with the cuisine. When we politely asked the server if one of the dishes could be taken back, we were told that this "has never happened before" and that we simply weren't used to Japanese-style ramen. The response felt dismissive and somewhat defensive, rather than helpful. There was no effort to address the issue, offer an alternative, or show any concern that we didn't enjoy the meal. Instead, it felt like we were just expected to pay for everything regardless of our experience. We chose not to make a scene and paid the full bill, but the lack of customer care left a lasting negative impression. Good service means listening to customers and handling feedback with professionalism, something that was missing here. I hope they take feedback more seriously in the future. I won't be back. There are far to many great Japanese restaurants in the city.
