Food:
Pho beef broth without exaggeration tasted like there is no recipe provided to the cook. It was like water and oil, cloudy, no taste of any Vietnamese herbs or spices, not even salt. Sadly, the worst pho broth within a 20 mile radius around here, and we have tried them all. Disappointed enough with the first taste of broth, it was lukewarm. Which if you eat soups specially noodle soups it's important to be freshly edible hot.
Meats were okay, nothing special, the tendon was way too hard to chew which is a sign that their broth has not been simmering for a long time at all, in fact it's probably just powdered beef bouillon.
The noodles were very gooey, stuck together, it was most likely cooked ahead of time then dipped in hot water because inside that sticky ball of noodles was somewhat cold. It caused the broth to get cold.
Steamed chicken rice. Did not come with side of broth like all other Vietnamese places that serve this dish. The rice was in chicken bouillon broth and turmeric. The chicken slices tossed in pickled onions and Basil. The dark meat slices were super rubbery with a very dark purple color. It had a little bit of crunchy peanuts which was sadly the best part. You pour and eat with nuoc cham. This dish was missing lacking a few cucumbers or some sort of lettuce tomatoes? It was really just the bare minimum on a plate,
I never thought comfort food could be so UN- comforting.. each of those dishes were $16 each. The quality, overall was unforgivable. We definitely will never be back.
Mention the free coffee you get with every pho order, because they won't.
