I have to use this internet provider in my complex. I am constantly having router or modem issues and of course they always occur on the weekends. Last time 5 months ago a new router and modem were installed after a week. The router is out now and let's see how long it takes. The majority of the CSR are very polite and helpful but I pay to have internet, not to not have it go down most of the time for a few hours or a week. Average internet provider. Went out every once in a while, honestly didnt get the speeds I thought I would for one gig. They were recently bought out and proceeded to still bill me while the new provider was billing me. OneSource was not supposed to bill me. So thanks. I had AT&T before - old copper lines, very slow signal, and outdated. Horrible customer support. Spectrum is also in in the area - again old copper lines, slow signal, and poor service. OneSource Communications ran FIBER OPTICS in Trophy Club recently. I had their new internet service installed as soon as I could. I now have 1G internet speed and it is TRUE 1G speed - no loss of signal or speed throughout the house. I have 22 connected devices and the speed is lightning fast! So I now have internet speed that is 20 times faster than the old AT&T crappy service. Connie was my sales person. She is top notch, friendly, and very knowledgeable. She helped me throughout the process and made sure I was satisfied from start to finish. They quickly ran the new service into my house (very unintrusive, thin bladed ditch in the yard). Chris was my yard install Team Lead, and Seth installed the service and modem in the house. Both top notch guys!! 5 Stars from me!! James R. read more

I've had 1Source for many years under the 10Mbs plan. Always wanted higher speeds so when they added the 25Mbs service I immediately signed up. Big mistake. From the first day of this service I have had outages every single day. Some lasting for hours, but most 15 to 20 minutes. EVERY DAY. I cannot recommend this service and am going to switch to another ISP. In addition to the poor quality, my bill tripled. As I was writing this review, my service when down again. We built a new home and needed to ensure fiber was laid before the driveway/landscaping/etc was completed. One Source has been VERY responsive to my requests and had someone out that day to ensure we were taken care of. Their exceptional customer service and 1 gig fiber internet sold me to use their service. Once again, One Source came through with exceptional customer service. The technician was new but he called his boss who came out and helped get our new home set up for internet service. John T was extremely knowledgeable and made sure our home was set up properly, even trouble-shooting some issues caused by the builder. Jeff G did an exceptional job as well. When I had my audio/visual specialists out to set up the TVs, they needed help and One Source was there once again to set things straight. read more

Horrible! We just got a new router and modem because we finally got fed up with the piece of crap they gave us 5 years ago and have been charging us $5 per month for. They slipped in that there is a $24.50 activation charge to "activate" our own equipment. THEN once we supposedly activated it, which they said would take effect in an hour, the modem number didn't get fully registered so we are without internet ALL weekend. Tech support can't do anything if it's not registered. All they can do is apologize. Thanks OneSource! Regardless of how you lower the bar, you consistently have trouble meeting that new low. read more

They overprice their cable speeds and keep the price the same for fiber speeds. Its 59.95 for 500mb on fiber and 59.95 for 150mb for cable. They also take partial owner ship in apartment complex's so they can monopolize their business to not allow competition with in the apartment industry. They offer poor customer service and are known to throttle speeds through the night time and have shut off the internet while I'm using it every night once a week. They are absolutely a terrible company. read more

We have had OneSource since 2017 and while service has not been perfect, I am an IT professional and I understand that wireless anything is not likely to be perfect. Out in rural wise county, there are several wireless providers avialable, but the topography at our specific property limits us to CenturyLink DSL or OneSource LTE. DSL by it's nature is slow for upload speed, but for a long time, it was ok. When I began needing to work from home more often, it was a slog. Installed OneSource 10mbps service in late 2017 and at least the upload rate supported the various conference calls I needed to be on from time to time. When the 25mbps service became available, it required an equipment upgrade as well. The technician who came out to do that also moved our antenna device way up higher on the roof for a better signal; the previous installation was at a minimum height. The new equipment on the tower side, however, had a weaker signal towards us, so we never got the full 25mbps, but 15-20 down and 3-5 up was typical, still perfectly usable for working from home. In seeking more speed, I have installed Starlink, which is a whole long story in itself. It is WAY faster (most of the time), but not as reliable, so I have kept OneSource as a backup and for certain nerdy networking reasons that are not 100% Starlink compatible. read more

WOW this is what I see at the bottom of this review. VERY rude... and now it says. "You're rolling now - got any more to add?" Another very RUDE comment. It really shows there customer service is really bad and ignorant on how to treat customers. That comes across on the phone also when you are a customer and have an issue with your service. We needed faster internet service than the cable provider was giving us. One source had recently installed fiber in our neighborhood. Gave them a try and can say the speed is as advertised and the service has been reliable. Also, the pricing was less for 1GB download speed than what I was previously paying for with cable and getting ~60MB download speed. I'm locked in where I have my service and its just shitty. I try to watch videos and I can only get 2-3 seconds to stream at a time. I had better internet than this in Afghanistan back in 2010. Not sure why were in 2018 and a person can't get what he pays for. Garbage local company with no hopes of improving their services anytime soon. TO THE GUY BLAMING THE "CABLING" issues to the apartment complexes: ONE SOURCE OWNS THE CABLING!!!! ALL OF IT TO THE ONT (Optical Network Termination) ON PREMISES. I am amazed that anyone has given them anything more than a single star. If less was a possibility, I would go that route. I have been with them over a year now, close to two. Service is horrid. I can say that it is mostly up but they have frequent problems. Latency during peak lags out just about everything from work VPN, to ABR video from Netflix, Hulu, HBOGo, DirectTVNOW, I guess they feel that people can tolerate hitting refresh. I guess if I was the owner I would be pretty proud about how I consistently make money on chumps who are forced to take my service. IF PEOPLE HAD AN OPTION, YOU WOULD BE OUT OF BUSINESS. I AM AMAZED there are 5 star responses. PROs: - On a positive note, their employees are very pleasant. I have talked to a bunch for various reasons, and they were all pleasant. Not knowledgeable, but pleasant nonetheless - When I bothered with their video service they were very accommodating with equipment and equipment failures. In that time, they generally can get someone to fix something behind the scene. I had One source for over 10 years and during that time I was constantly having connection and speed issues with my Internet. There was constant calls complaining and many technicians that tried to fix the issues, but nothing ever came from it. At one point they told me it was my router and that I didn't have enough bandwidth, so I went out and purchased a NightHawk R8500 with 802, two 2.4, and two 5.0 bands that were capable of handling almost anything. I still had the same issues. Then just this year they finally updated their equipment and almost immediately my Internet continued to have the same issues. Only after they updated my equipment, they promised faster speeds with better connections at almost twice the previous cost . Unfortunately the Internet was still slow and connections were never constant. I finally had their service disconnected and went with another provider, after so many years of being a faithful customer. Then they sent me a bill for the upgraded service which was never what they promised. I have tried to get some type of resolution to this and they won't talk to me about it. I have left messages and no one has followed up with me. They never had to want for payment because I allowed them to debit my account for payment, but the service was so bad I really don't know why it took me so long to change. I guess I hoped it would get better. I DO NOT recommend this company to anyone. Guess they don't care though looking at all the negative comments. Also, I live in a home not an apartment so the one good comment isn't necessarily true. And on a side note the techs that came out, had no idea what was causing the issues, but did acknowledge there were issues. read more

Horrible service is coupled with outrageous pricing. Unfortunately, the area I live in is controlled by the legal monopoly this company is allowed to have on my area. Absolutely awful service. Pay for a 500 mb/s connection but can't even hit 80 with WiFi. Hours are garbage too. I was sad to get rid of spectrum because One source owns the rights to my apartment and I have no other option. The cable seems to have problems every couple of days......signal trouble, sound trouble, etc. ......and we have not had on demand since day 1!! They "tried" to fix it but ended up blaming it on the apartment complex......really!!! They said it was the apartment's responsibility to check their wires. The complex doesn't have anything to do with the cable wires! The internet leaves a lot to be desired! I would change but we are locked in because the apartment complex we live in. I've tried resetting it by unplugging, replugging, etc. but nothing works. the tv and cable is working but not the DVR. I tried to call them, but they said their phone had been disconnected.
