I shouldn't' even give this a 1 star. I signed up for this app since my current lawn mowing guy became unreliable. I had a friend that used this company in the Dallas area. I signed up for a job on a Wednesday and had zero response for a job come Sunday evening so I switched apps. Upon switching apps, since my job was never picked up, OneNeighbor proceeded to charge my credit card $16.24. FOR WHAT? No service provider ever signed up for the job and it was well over the 48 hour slot of finding someone. Go with a different app...this is a money grab. I have contacted customer service through email (in the app) because that's the only point of contact. I have heard nothing back. I used this service and they make you sign up for 3 services to get the discounted price. After first service, they were unable to provide the next service. Several times they rescheduled until lawn got so bad I had to use someone else. Then they decided to go ahead and charge a fee for last service. I called and emailed several times. No response. I think it's a scam company because no provider should charge someone if they are the ones unable to meet their own part of the agreement. I will be disputing charge for sure! read more

DurangoEdge LawnCare accepted the job and never showed and then somehow rescheduled for a couple weeks later. So they allow you to find a new provider, which I did. Worst customer service ever!!!! It is the last day of July and I haven't received a single mowing this month. I've contacted them daily for the last 10days begging them to show up, which they promised to do every time, yet never did. I was sincerely concerned that the City of Plano would ticket me and/or my neighbors might drive me out of the neighborhood! They use random crews, rarely the same folks (I was home and saw who came) and did a very slapdash job; sometimes they edged and blew patio and sidewalks, sometimes not. Rarely did the alley side of the fence get mowed or edged unless I ran outside and asked. I talked to a crew once and discovered that they are random contractors. Once a man and young boy (maybe age 9 or 10) showed up on a school day!!!! The teacher/parent in me was sooo sad at that. I have booked with this company twice and have researched their services many times. Their online booking and bid tools are really user friendly. The problem is, in my experience, all they are is a middleman so they have no power to guarantee service. It seems like there is a guy there who just goes around playing clean up for their provider mess ups. They offer an easy way to compare prices and services. The problem comes down to execution. I would not recommend this service to others. I have used similar companies in the past and decided to try OneNeighbor at the beginning of spring this year. Three weeks after signing up, I still have not received services from any of their providers. There have been multiple times over the 3 week period where the provider rescheduled or canceled services the day of and a new provider is not rescheduled until days later. The only way to get in contact with OneNeighbor is through email which takes several days to get an answer from and has not been helpful as they mention they have no control over when the services are canceled. read more

The vendors weren't consistent and sometimes service would be delayed, don't know if it was the rains or what. But this year, same vendor does the lawn each time, edging looks great, much more consistent, frankly, no problems this year. I don't always give 1 star reviews. But when I do, I prefer to give them to the worst of the worst. OneNeighbor is OneWorst company. Rather, one of the worst companies I've had the displeasure to do business with. Maybe because they are new and getting a startup off the ground is tough. But, darn, the issues we had, may I count the ways: 1) Missed appointments - As you read through all these one star reviews, many complain about the missed appointments. But you know what is worse than a missed appointment? The contractor claiming they did your house when they didn't then being billed for the missed appointment... 2) Being billed for miss appointments - I finally got a confirmation via email my lawn had been mowed. Yay! So I came home expecting a nice cut lawn but Nay. The lawn was not cut. I checked the app to see if the contractor had submitted pictures to OneNeighbor. They did! Pictures of an uncut lawn. WTF. 3) Hard to cancel - So after one neighbor (a good neighbor, not a OneNeighbor) complained about my yard, I was deeply embarrassed. This had to stop. I logged into my account and searched for the cancel service option. Couldn't find it. So I sent an email requesting to cancel service. And to be sure, I called to cancel but got voicemail. So I left a message requesting service to be cancelled for all future appointments. Crossing my finders they cancel because they sure make it tough. 4) Upped price without notifying me - As I was trying to find a way to cancel service, I found they had upped the pricing without so much as even an email notification. Totally terrible to up pricing without notifying the customers. So the old pricing was around $20/cut. Now I see the pricing as $27 for weekly and $30 bi-weekly. I am so glad I cancelled service! This startup won't make it. Not with their reliability and ethical issues. I feel so sorry for the angel investors who took a chance on this company. That's money mowed away. read more

OneNeighbor's operating model lends itself to a lot of risks especially the way they manage communication the way the do via email, their website, and their phone. It's constantly misaligned. I had a mix up in service due to a wash of bad information and instead of addressing it in good faith, they chose to pursue the charge for the service. Further more, despite admitting that their web developer and staff were behind and mixed up info on the website, they chose to call me a liar instead. I am updating my review based on my (positive) most recent experience with OneNeighbor. We had a bit of a wobble with their lawn services over the summer so they reached out to me to see if I wanted to try their Christmas light installation services. The vendor for the Christmas light services was excellent - on time, good value, and did a great job with the installation. Our house looks like a Christmas wonderland! We're very happy. The only small issue we had again was over billing. I understand this must be very challenging to keep up with, given the variety of vendors and services that are running through their system. And I do feel like OneNeighbor makes a strong effort to keep up with it as best they can (this has clearly improved since summer 2020). This was the only item that kept me from being able to give them the full 5 stars. So my bottom line is this: I would recommend this company to a family member, I think they offer a great range of services at a good value in pricing. And then maybe just make sure to note down the services you signed up for and the price you were quoted, so you can confirm it with your final invoice. read more

Signed up because they were the cheapest- $25 after their fees for once every 2 weeks service. Almost every mowing their dashboard would switch the dates even if not raining. The same crew showed to do the neighbors but left without doing mine. Email support is a joke. They hire tbe worst people, damaged gutter xtension and a path light. These people are fraudsters. Beware! Since I signed up for the service in the spring, they have overcharged me three times. 01. On one of my mows, they did not mow the back yard (yes, the gate was unlocked). So, they sent someone over two days later to correct it. And charged me again. I asked repeatedly for a refund. Never happened. 02. They charged me for a mow and my lawn was not touched. Even the picture they sent me showed that it wasn't my house. 03. Their website clearly says that the winter/Dec mow is free. So, they mowed, and charged me. I wrote them, and they said that's not what it means. When does "free" not mean "free"? They justified this higher charges by citing tall grass and lot site size exceeding 10,000 ft.² even though my lot size is actually 9496 ft.² according to Zillow and my in our house document on and they charge that you know like almost double amount and when I started try to call them, they don't answer the phone they don't have phone so they only communicate via email and when I cancel the service they charge me additional $30 via already paid $90 so far so this is not a good company.
