I had vehicle of mine that needed the tires rotated. Simple easy rotation, however they failed one important detail, making sure all tires are properly adjusted. That failure to pay attention to detail regarding tires when that's what you sell to the public is inexcusable. Good quality tires with a reasonable price and with the proper air they should last a long time.

I dropped off my car to have two new tires replaced and planned to pick it up later. About an hour later, I received a call informing me that the tire replacement was finished, but I was also told that one of the employees accidentally backed my car into another vehicle, when I would ask for the camera footage and they said they don't have camera installed, I found very hard to believe because they remodel the whole building. I was asked to come back to discuss insurance, and I was led to believe the damage was minor. However, when I arrived and saw my car in person, the damage was clearly not minor. I am extremely concerned about how such significant damage could occur simply from backing the car out after a tire replacement. While the staff offered apologies, that does not change the fact that I came in only for tire service and now must deal with vehicle repairs, insurance, time loss, and major inconvenience. Despite the situation, I was still required to pay for the tires, and no compensation, courtesy service, or goodwill gesture was offered. This experience has completely changed my opinion of Discount Tire. I was a loyal customer and a big fan of the company, but this incident was handled very poorly and has caused unnecessary stress and inconvenience. I am sharing this complaint to request accountability and to warn others to be very careful when leaving their vehicles at this location.

I was a helicopter mechanic for 9 years, and I'm currently a mechanical engineer. Don't go here if…read moreyou're worried that a mechanic will try to take advantage of you, because this store will if they think they can get away with it. This is what a $125 diagnostic gets you. For anyone that doesn't know, Alldata is just a search engine. I came in with my check engine light on and a P0126 code. I already knew the code, and already knew it was probably my thermostat, I just wanted a more thorough diagnostic. The "report" they gave me is just a printout of Alldata results; a print out of potential causes which I already knew. There's no evidence that anything else was done. When I asked for a diagnostic report, I got a haphazardly printed out search and deer-in-the-headlights look. The three things listed here are basically the thermostat, thermostat housing, and temp sensor. They quoted me at about $1200 to replace all three and do a coolant flush. Here are all the problems I have with that: 1) The code was most likely from either the thermostat or the temp sensor. A multimeter check could have ruled out the temp sensor. A coolant temp reading could have pinpointed the issue. They did neither of those, and instead tried to convince me to replace all three parts because they assumed I didn't know any better. 2) I couldn't figure out why the manager kept over explaining to me that the thermostat and water outlet (ie thermostat housing) were two different parts. Yes, I know that.... Then I realized it's because he was trying to charge me double the labor hours. He was trying to charge me labor hours for replacing the thermostat, and then charge me again for replacing the housing - the part you have to remove to get to the thermostat. He was over explaining because he knew what he was doing was disingenuous. I can replace the thermostat myself, but was willing to pay to have it done because I don't have much spare time at the moment; all they had to do to earn my business was treat me with respect and perform the diagnostic that I paid for. Instead, they phoned in the service and then took every available opportunity to squeeze money out of me, both through unnecessary work and through double charging me labor hours because they thought I didn't understand the next higher assembly structure. We all know that chain mechanics are usually a rip off - this is a perfect example of why. How many other people have they charged $1200 to replace a thermostat? This was a really exceedingly simple repair. If they phoned in my diagnostic, I promise you they'll phone in yours too.

I went to four different shops here in town & nobody would honor the warranty on my $400 repair. The best offer I received was for $600 they would redo teh work correctly. I reached out to AAMCO corporate board of directors & finally received a response form a Jacquline who played word games & explained why they won't back their work. For a Company that says it's Mantra is "We put the care back in car care." Its a disgusting lie. Then when they say "Every customer deserves a Warranty" it is straight up false advertising. The Ina Road store was the original rip off & none of the stores in the Phoenix metro area or corporate could care less. My A/C is still broken & no one cares so do yourself a favor & steer clear of AAMCO.

As soon as the clutch malfunctioned for me again, we called Jake & easily made arrangements to have it serviced. Jake & his crew went over & above excellent service & are very efficient & thoughtful. The work done was less than the quoted price so they are very honest which we sincerely appreciate. Highly reccomended this business!!
