Simple easy rotation, however they failed one important detail, making sure all tires are properly adjusted. That failure to pay attention to detail regarding tires when that's what you sell to the public is inexcusable. I am writing to file a formal complaint regarding a very disappointing and stressful experience at the Discount Tire location on Ina Road and Thornydale. I dropped off my car to have two new tires replaced and planned to pick it up later. About an hour later, I received a call informing me that the tire replacement was finished, but I was also told that one of the employees accidentally backed my car into another vehicle, when I would ask for the camera footage and they said they don't have camera installed, I found very hard to believe because they remodel the whole building. I was asked to come back to discuss insurance, and I was led to believe the damage was minor. However, when I arrived and saw my car in person, the damage was clearly not minor. I am extremely concerned about how such significant damage could occur simply from backing the car out after a tire replacement. While the staff offered apologies, that does not change the fact that I came in only for tire service and now must deal with vehicle repairs, insurance, time loss, and major inconvenience. Despite the situation, I was still required to pay for the tires, and no compensation, courtesy service, or goodwill gesture was offered. This experience has completely changed my opinion of Discount Tire. I was a loyal customer and a big fan of the company, but this incident was handled very poorly and has caused unnecessary stress and inconvenience. I am sharing this complaint to request accountability and to warn others to be very careful when leaving their vehicles at this location. read more

Alex saw that I came in on a flatbed tow truck with a piece of glass in my tire. He asked if I was waiting or dropping off. I told him I had nowhere to go since I'm from a little distance away. He said he would do his best to help me get in and out, course other people were infront of me that had to come first understandably. Went there this morning for air check young man stated that they open at 8 not an issue. He told me to proceed to the tire check area where I was patiently waiting. After a few minutes COLIN came outside and verbally attacked me staying they don't open til 8 and told me to move my car to the outside of the ring. I explained to him how the other guy told me to wait where I was. Colin was EXTEMELY unprofessional and shouldn't be working with the public. I suggest going anywhere but here they have other locations throughout Tucson that will treat you with respect and dignity. Very poor service, we made an appointment for a simple rotation. Dropped off the car and we were told 45 minutes max. We went to lunch and returned after an hour. The car was still where we left it. When we bought it to their attention we we told it would be another hour. We asked for the keys and they said they would take it in next. 10 minutes later it was still in the parking lot. I revoke my good review. My tire pressure is very low. I can't fill it myself at the gas station because I just had surgery on my index finger. Kinda need that finger to fill my tires with air. The line at discount tire to get your tire pressure checked was very long. I don't mind waiting. I will wait no problem. However, the technician in charge of filling and checking tire pressure today asked me to get out of line because he said that I was blocking the roadway, even though I was in line with all the other vehicles if the vehicles in front of me would have pulled up and not left so much space between them and the car in front of them several more cars would've fit in the discount tire parking lot, but the technician did not want to go ask them to pull up so instead asked me to return when there was more space in Line. Wow. if I was in a major roadway blocking traffic I would've completely understood. My car was halfway into the discount lot and halfway sticking out so I get it OK fine the cars that needed to get around me on that side street could've just gone around me. There was plenty of space and like I said if the other cars in front of me would've pulled up several more cars would've fit now the cars in the line in front of me there was about 8 feet of distance between each of those cars like they were not fully pulled up. There was clearly lots of room and I wonder why the technician didn't say hey can you pull up some more cars can fit in line. Trust me. The people on those cars would have pulled up, but it said he asked me to leave so OK bye I will never come back ever. You have lost a very loyal customer that always bragged about how amazing your tire service was, but I will not do so any longer. read more

A few weeks ago I stopped in to have tires aired. A tech told me I definitely needed tires rotated if not completely replaced. One was only 2 years old (replaced following damage in an accident) and he said it was in a good shape. The other 3 were looking worn. I made an appt to have them inspected. They were original to my 2018 car so I bought new ones. I was in and out (on a super busy Friday) within 75 minutes. Excellent explanation and resolution. Bought a used car and needed some new tires before my road trip up north. They walked me through the different tire options that they had in stock and explained the tire ratings as well. Process was simple to drop off the car, go home, and come back to pick up the car. I did have a problem with my tire pressure sensor after getting the new tires. This would have been a 5 star review except, they feel it appropriate to supersede the manufactures recommendations on air pressure and increase the amount by 3 pounds. My last set of tires had to be replaced at half the expected life span and showed greater wear in the center of the tire. Do not let them add more air to the tires than the manufacture recommends, it can be costly and dangerous. The manufacture makes recommendations for a reason and should not to be superseded by Discount Tire. read more

I want to start by saying that two employees are the reason this location got 4 stars instead of two! I had a flat tire and this was the closest location to where I noticed it. This location is a good 45+ minutes from my house. When I first arrived there was a gentleman outside checking people in, he was nice enough, he told me there was a 3+ hour wait, and that I would not be able to leave while I was waiting which is crappy. I asked if they could just throw my spare on and he said the wait time was the same. I asked if I could put my own spare on where I was parked and was told no. I called my husband who said to ask if they could air up my tire. I spoke to a different gentleman who said I could go get in line to have air put in my tire. I got in line behind four other people and waited a good amount of time. Once I got to the air station the guy (Kade) said he couldn't fill my tire, it was too low so the machine won't do it. Now I'm beyond frustrated. The gentleman told me in could be done when it couldn't!! I explained to Kade the situation and he had me park while he ran inside. He told me they couldn't move me up in line to fix my tire but that they would throw my spare on quick. I almost cried. I wanted to hug him I was so appreciative but there is a pandemic, so I didn't. Brandon had me pull in to a bay and within 5 minutes, give or take, I was on my way! They were friendly, knowledgeable about my special rims, and incredibly helpful. My initial feels were a two star review because they were unhelpful and I couldn't leave but Brandon and Kade saved the day!! I typically review restaurants, and realized, I need to review Discount Tire. I've done business with Discount for many years, and have always had great service. I really want to call out Thomas and Jose at this location. With working from home, and not much driving, sure enough, my tires developed dry rot. Jose went out of his way to get me a great deal on the new tires I needed. He made an appointment for me to come in on a Saturday to have them installed. I showed up early, but Thomas took my car in right when it was supposed to go, and they were done in under 20 minutes, even though the shop was fairly busy. No hassles, no bait and switch. I came in with a tire light that kept coming on. There was a long line ahead of me and so I ended up waiting an hour (I wandered over to Bookmans down the road) but when I came back they had bad news. My tire had a nail in the shoulder and it couldn't be fixed without getting a new tire. The tire in question was only 5 months old and had been purchased from a shop down in Benson -- after a different blow out. I was livid and called the shop in Benson, who ended up giving me a number to a corporate warranty place. But that warranty place wouldn't talk to me, they only wanted to speak with an employee at Discount Tire. Luckily for me the team took time out of their day to have someone call on my behalf. I ended up getting the tire replaced for free (I did have to pay installation and new road hazard fees). All in all I was at Discount Tire for 3 hours that day, maybe a bit more. But they took the time to get my tire fixed and help navigate the issue of needing it replaced under a warranty. They'll have my service from now on. read more
