Back Again! If you're looking for a dealership that actually delivers on what it promises, I can't…read morerecommend Berman Subaru of Chicago enough. I've owned a lot of cars over the years--from BMWs to 300Zs--and after driving the Subaru Crosstrek for nearly a decade now, I can confidently say it stands in a league of its own. It's the perfect balance of size, shape, practicality, and everyday performance. I was never chasing high performance--I wanted something reliable, comfortable, and capable in all conditions--and the Crosstrek has consistently delivered, whether I'm navigating city streets, cruising the highway, or taking on backroads. Berman has been my go-to dealership from the very beginning, and for good reason. The team is always professional, straightforward, and genuinely helpful. Pricing is very fair, the process is smooth, and their service department has been consistently excellent over the years. A big shoutout to Daniel Szontagh--he made this latest experience just as seamless as the others. No pressure, no gimmicks, just honest help and great communication. I recently traded up to the Crosstrek Hybrid, and even after just a few days, all I can say is: wow. The previous models were great handlers, but this one takes it to another level. It feels incredibly smooth, connected to the road, and surprisingly comfortable--even over Chicago potholes. It's refined without losing that fun, capable feel that makes the Crosstrek so enjoyable to drive. If you're in the market for a Subaru--or even a quality used car--do yourself a favor and check out Berman Subaru. And if you can, ask for Daniel. You'll be in good hands.

The team greeted me and got me checked in super seamlessly. They let me know it would take about 2 hours for the installation and then showed me to the waiting room. There are two spaces, one bigger one with tables and chairs, and the other with some desk space. I was able to camp out at one of the desks to get some work done while they worked on my car. There is wifi (not the best so I tethered to my phone) and coffee available. Before I knew it the 2 hours was up and my car was good to go! They even gave it a quick wash while it was back there (even though we got it fully serviced and detailed about a month ago). The team is awesome and super responsive. Since it's also the dealership, there were able to do multiple services free of charge (including the new stereo!) They do a great job of building relationships with their clients to keep them coming back. We've been bringing our Forrester here since 2017 and will continue to do so.

Over the last…read morefew years I've had regular and special service stops here and have had exceptional treatment ... especially by guys like Vinnie and Kenneth; and I have had great treatment by sales ... especially Paolo.... in fact I try to get these guys when I visit. I would also highly recommend the Subaru extended warranty ... it's about $1,500 to bring the original warranty to 6 years or 60,000 miles. You may not have to use it because Subaru makes a pretty reliable car, but if you need it (and it includes the free tow/roadside assistance during the period) it can save you major money. We're at 55,000 miles and had a breakdown in Charlotte ... we received a free tow to the nearest Subaru dealer and got it fixed ... easy-peasy. Also back home we had a small weep at the seal between the cam carriers and the cylinder heads ... and this is a big expensive job since they have to remove the engine ... got it done all under the extended warranty. All said, over the years we have had numerous contacts with the Subaru dealer people. They have routinely been top notch ... now a four star rating. Recommended.

I have been a loyal Subaru owner and a consistent customer at Orland Park Subaru since 2018…read more Unfortunately, I'm writing this as a warning to others regarding how they handle long-standing service agreements. When I purchased a new set of tires here on December 12, 2024, I was explicitly promised a "lifetime tire rotation guarantee," just as I had received with my previous tire purchase in 2021. However, when I returned in October 2025, I was told the dealership had changed their policy in January 2025 and would no longer honor the lifetime agreement for my tires. While they granted me "one final rotation" as a "favor," they made it clear they would not honor the terms I was sold on just weeks before their policy change. It is now May 2026, and I am still deeply disappointed. A policy change should apply to new sales, not retroactively cancel promises made to customers who already paid for a product. I chose this dealership over competitors like Discount Tire specifically because of their word on lifetime services. Now, that trust is gone. Note to management: I have sent an amendment email to Subaru Customer Service regarding this breach of the original sales agreement and am currently waiting on a response. I hope to see this rectified, as 8 years of loyalty should count for more than a retroactive policy shift. ------------- For transparency, I've updated my Google review with the dealership's resolution. While I acknowledge management ultimately corrected the issue, the experience and process were still poor, which is why I am keeping my current rating. I hope the dealership improves internal communication moving forward so other long-term customers do not experience the same confusion. https://goo.gl/maps/BmF1BnWMReMSGwdZ6?g_st=ac ___________ UPDATE #3 5-20-2026 Editing my review because after spending additional time and energy responding to corporate regarding my customer advocacy concern, I was then asked to complete a satisfaction survey about the experience. I do appreciate that corporate responded promptly and reached out to the dealership, which resulted in a personal email correspondence with me. However, I remain disappointed with the overall handling of the situation. Corporate stated that the dealership informed them that "their service team sent email correspondence in September 2025 regarding the policy change." Unfortunately, that completely misses the original point of my complaint. My concern was never about whether a future policy change was communicated -- it was about the fact that I purchased a new set of tires in December 2024 with an explicit "Lifetime Tire Rotation" guarantee. To the manager's credit, he ultimately agreed to honor the tire rotation as originally promised for myself. However for others in my same predicament, it reflects poor business practice to revoke guarantees after customers have already relied on those promises when making a purchasing decision. Policies can change moving forward for new customers, but retroactively changing terms for existing customers undermines trust and customer confidence. There are many businesses that continue to honor the commitments they make, and that level of integrity matters.

The car had a stain near the roof that the salesman brushed off as "just a stain." Other Fiat owners told us it's usually a sign of a leaky sunroof. When we started the car, multiple warning lights came on for lamps/lights being out. The vehicle wasn't even cleaned -- there was garbage in the console -- and we also found rust on the subwoofer. For a car that supposedly passed a "safety check," these issues should have been caught before showing it to a customer. While I may not be an expert on cars, I do understand that stains typically don't just show up on the roof, and that warning lights on the dashboard shouldn't come on without reason. We declined to buy the car and explained why. A few days later, the dealership called to negotiate on price, saying they were addressing the sunroof. But the problem wasn't just the sunroof -- it was the overall lack of care and transparency. When I said this wasn't the right dealership for me, I meant it. Buyers beware: if obvious issues are overlooked before you even drive it, imagine what else could be missed.

Who takes pics of their car battery? If you do come here, DO NOT work with Vince or Joe. I noticed 6 days after we got our battery replaced when our car wouldn't start. The cables weren't properly tightened and the battery wasn't mounted. When I brought the vehicle in, they said the process would take 15-20 min to fix. I waited for almost 2 hours. I worked with Vince (advisor) and Joe (service manager), who told me that since I didn't have evidence the service director couldn't refund me on the last installation. But they also told me that their technician would've told us last time if we didn't have a mount. So either way, it was their fault and they should've compensated me for compromising the security of my car and also for inconveniencing me and causing me to lose half a day of work. They did install a new mount for free but I had to go through the trouble of fixing their mistake. They obviously do not care about the quality of their servicing.
