They did a basic service of an oil change, which is as simple as it gets. However, their service technician overfilled the engine oil by several quarts. While I drove my car heading into the Coachella Valley it began spewing smoke and the engine failed. I had my car towed to Honda of the Desert. The service crew, Eduardo Carrillo (service advisor) and "Dan" (a master mechanic) determined my car's engine had been carelessly overfilled with oil AT THE OTHER DEALERSHIP. Mechanic Dan performed heroic corrective repair work to get my car back on the road. Dan also supplied me with a video of my car's diagnosis and damage, which was very helpful. Both were very helpful, patient, and very easy to work with. No pressure. In the end we found what we wanted at Toyota of the Desert and we're very happy with outcome. I've been buying cars for about 25 years, and I would rate both Cody and Gabe as top 5%. I can honestly only think of one salesperson that made as positive of an impression on me in that time as either one. The dealership kept my car for several weeks, performed their diagnostics, and confidently advised that the issue was related to the injector driver/ECU. Based on their recommendation and supposed expertise, I approved a repair totaling over $5,300. That repair did NOT fix the original problem. What's even more concerning is that their own documentation shows they recommended "additional diagnosis" before completing the repair, yet they still proceeded with a costly fix that did not resolve the issue I brought the car in for. Now, instead of taking accountability, I'm being told they are "not sure" what the problem is and are recommending another $3,000+ in additional repairs. In other words, more trial-and-error--at my expense. This is not what you expect from a Lexus dealership. The issue wasn't properly diagnosed, the repair did not address the actual problem, and now the diagnosis has changed after the fact. At this point, I've paid over $5,000 and the original drivability issue remains unresolved. Being asked to continue paying for uncertain repairs after a failed initial diagnosis is unacceptable. I have escalated this matter to Lexus corporate and am pursuing further action. If you are considering service here, especially for major repairs, I strongly recommend getting a second opinion before approving any work. This experience raises serious concerns about diagnostic accuracy and accountability at this location.

I will file a complaint against this financial institution as they would not work with my son and she threaten my son telling him that his car would be impounded today by 6pm if a payment wasn't collected today.
