You'll definitely get a great workout walking up those stairs. Definitely do not recommend if you require an elevator. Even though this building itself is old, it did not feel creepy at all. It's also super cool that Charles Dickens used to frequent the place.
Location: Close to Farringdon station, so plenty of restaurants around. It is also close to Hatton Garden, and a 10 minute walk to Charles Dickens museum.
Rooms: Super cute decor, love all the doggo pictures. Very nicely sized, perfect for up 2 people, which is the max allowed. Sheets were clean, a little scratchy but comfy. The bed itself was on the firmer side which I loved. The room comes with complimentary water, coffee, tea, + snacks! The tv is equipped with netflix, which was a really nice touch. WIFI was a good speed. I had a room facing the street and it would get loud even with the windows down because of the pub downstairs. Also, why are there trash trucks at 4 am? Man, they work hard.
Bathroom: Clean, modern decor. The shower tub itself was a little high for me, so be careful if you're short getting in and out of the tub.
Other Things: I arrived around 3:30, so there was someone inside the pub that checked me in and helped me with my luggage. If you are arriving late, I think it would be a more difficult process because check-in is in the pub. Definitely contact them to make arrangements if you are arriving super late or super early (before 10 am) read more
