I took it to Key Star Auto LLC because I had used them before for small repairs and inspections. It was critical it would be done by a certain time for me to leave town, and they promised it would be. They finished early, did the repairs for what the estimate from the insurance company was with no out of pocket expense, and did exceptional work. My car was better after their repair work then it was before the collision. They even noticed my non-collided brake light was out and they replaced it for me at no additional cost. Honest, skilled, and honorable is VERY rare in NYC auto shops, so I strongly encourage you to use them.

Didn't overcharge me or try to get me for things I didn't need. Someone posted a review that they didn't like the owner's language. I can tell you that his speech is just like normal everyday people. And people sometimes curse. It's not like my old shop where they used to watch porn while fixing the cars. Anyway, neither I nor the other customers in the shop found anyone there crass or unprofessional. That reviewer, well, I hope they find what they're looking for. As for you, friend, feel free to ignore that review.

I call the day before for a quote and to check if I can bring in my vehicle the following day. I drop off my vehicle in the morning and wait for a call or text that my car is ready for pick-up. DO NOT TRUST THIS SHOP WITH YOUR VEHICLE…read more I am Chris, the owner of a white 2012 Nissan Rogue that was serviced here in 2022. I paid for a tune-up and specifically asked the staff to check all fluids and make sure everything was in good condition. I was assured that everything, including the transmission, had been checked and was fine. Less than a week later, my transmission began slipping and struggling to go into gear. I had an independent mechanic inspect the vehicle, and he discovered that the transmission fluid was extremely low or effectively empty. We attempted to refill it and see if the transmission could be saved, but the damage had already been done. I was ultimately facing a repair estimate of roughly $5,000 and ended up junking the vehicle and purchasing another car. To this day, I cannot understand how I was told the transmission was checked and in good condition when I experienced such a catastrophic failure immediately afterward. Unfortunately, this was not the only issue I experienced. On another visit, I was told my vehicle was ready for pickup. When I arrived, I was then asked to wait because the oil service had not actually been completed. I watched the technician finish adding oil after I had already arrived to collect what I had been told was a completed vehicle. I also had to return because a plastic component was left in my back seat after service and had not been reinstalled. One mistake can happen anywhere. Multiple incidents involving quality control, communication, and attention to detail are much harder to overlook. The financial impact of these experiences was significant, and I have never felt that anyone took responsibility or provided a satisfactory explanation. Based on my personal experience, I cannot recommend this shop and would strongly encourage customers to seek a second opinion on any major service recommendations or inspections. This review reflects my honest experience as a paying customer. Junior, Ryan, and Shanice, I am deeply disappointed in all of you. The consequences of what happened cost me thousands of dollars and left me paying for a replacement vehicle. Whether you agree with me or not, I have had to live with the results of these experiences for years.

Reliable Service and Honest Communication…read more When my car was towed to Main Street Auto due to brake problems, I wasn't sure what to expect. The team conducted a thorough analysis and presented me with clear repair options, explaining exactly what needed to be done without overselling unnecessary services. I had the brake line and front pads replaced. Mickey handled my case and was exceptionally professional throughout the process - he kept me informed, answered my questions thoroughly, and made sure I understood the work being performed. The staff was courteous and efficient when I picked up my vehicle. Main Street Auto demonstrated the kind of straightforward, honest service that's becoming harder to find. Their work was completed as promised, and I felt confident in both the quality of the repairs and the fair pricing. I would recommend them to others seeking reliable automotive service.
