While the car is mechanically sound, there are constantly small things that need to be addressed (headlight out, drain clogged, wire needs replacing, brake discs, alignment, inspection, etc.). Anthony and his team have been there to handle all the small things as well as a few more major repairs like a valve cover replacement, and everything else that comes with an aging BMW. It's been almost half a decade that ZA & D. have been working with me to maintain this vehicle and I've always found them honest, competent, and transparent. I've lived in NYC over 16 years (coincidentally, about the same age as the car) and I've only felt compelled to write a review for one or two other businesses that have stood out to me as exceptional. These guys are it.

I've been going to cliff's auto for well over 6 years. the last time I was there was six weeks ago with over $1200 in repairs that he said I needed. the same thing is happening to my car now that happened six weeks ago. Cliff is disgusting dishonest and a thief! I don't trust him and I can't believe for six years myself and my family dead. Who knows how many times he's ripped us off but there have been other times I was suspicious that things still weren't working right and they always had an excuse. Please do yourself a favor and don't come here nothing good will come of it. This location or the Atlantic Avenue.

I do not recommend this place. I asked for a total price for a battery replacement and was quoted…read more$250 plus tax. I was never told there would be extra labor, because most places install a battery for free when you buy it from them. When I got the invoice, I saw extra charges that were never disclosed: a $40 battery check that their own sign says is free with a battery purchase, a $10 labor charge, and a $9 shop supply fee when no supplies were used. When I questioned it, I was told it was a mistake and labor was actually supposed to be $50. That was never quoted upfront. If I had been told the total was going to be $300+ I would have just driven 4 blocks to AutoZone and bought the same battery for $180 with free installation. I had a similar issue previously when I had windows done. I was charged $250 for labor for a 40-minute job done by one person, while I watched from across the street, and was told two people worked on it. Pricing was not transparent and changed after the work was done. Be very careful and get your total out-the-door price in writing before you agree to anything. I had to dispute the charge with my credit card company. Also note that when I pulled my credit card out, their machine charged it cuz I said how do I pay cuz I didn't recognize the machine. It didn't have a card swipe and he said it was already paid for.Just by me holding the card it charged my card this chip is so dangerous. I'm very good at reading faces too. The fat man lied to me when he told me it was labor and the face that the kid had was that of disgust because the fat guy went and blamed the kid for the mistake he did not do. It was never $50 labor they just didn't want to refund me so now unless they have a written quote that they handed me they can do what my credit card.
