From the moment I met Liz, I knew I didn't need to meet anyone else. I loved her, and was so excited to be working with her. She came over to my house a couple times, and she provided me so many great resources for before and after my birth! She was always so helpful whenever I had any questions, and I had a ton! When it came time for my son to be born, there was meconium in the water, which led to a c section. I was scared for my baby, Liz was right there holding my hand while I cried. She waited at the hospital with my husband and I for hours. It was like my best friend was there. After my son was born (11-23-19) Liz took my placenta for encapsulation, and came to my house a few days after his birth. We talked about the birth and she gave me a beautiful placenta print, my sons dried cord, a picture of my placenta, and my placenta pills. Liz is so kind and genuinely caring. She is meant for this line of work. I cannot think of a better person to have had by my side through my pregnancy, birth, and postpartum. I highly recommend her as a doula, and most definitely for her to encapsulate your placenta.

I would definitely recommend her to anyone I knew looking for placenta encapsulation and suggest her for anyone looking for her other services.

They immediately made us feel comfortable at our first meeting. Both are warm, sincere, and obviously love what they do. They really helped educate, prepare, and empower us throughout my pregnancy. Our birth went according to our birth plan, with Taryn beside me as my advocate at Loma Linda the whole time. It was the most amazing and empowering experience, and not having to worry about making sure the staff followed my plan took a HUGE stress off my shoulders so I could focus on birth and bonding. Every single wish was honored. Taryn continued to be a valuable resource after, making my placenta capsules, assisting with breastfeeding and new mom questions, even coming over just to rub my feet! I sincerely think that the high number of interventions (drugs, complications, C-sections, etc.) would drastically reduce in this country if every woman, especially first time moms, had access to a personal doula. Absolutely 100000% worth every penny!! Even though I know the ropes this time around, I was honored to ask Taryn to be my doula again as we prepare for our second baby.

Diana was immensely helpful throughout my entire pregnancy. Always knowledgeable and helpful no matter what my concern was. From sending me a yoga DVD when I wanted to start exercising to coming over to massage me when I had a pinched nerve Diana was always just a phone call or text away. My labor was unexpectedly fast and Diana was there to help and stayed calm even during an unplanned home birth. I would highly recommend her to anyone looking for knowledgeable and caring Doula in Southern California.

Words cannot express how thankful I am to have met Karen and have taken her class. Though it was a…read more1 to 2 hour drive (with traffic) for me to get to her, it was well worth it. My profession deals with medicine and she taught me more than I've learned in school, things that schools don't teach in conventional medicine (which is why some of these thing are unheard of when you ask doctors about it). I worked with a natural doctor who advised me to look into hypnobirthing. That's when I jumped onto yelp and found Karen. My husband is extremely all about research/data based practices and Karen has educated him to change his vision when it comes to birthing. Thank God for her he's now more understanding and will 100% support my instinctive/natural birth. What I really respect is that she has had a "typical" birth prior to her education and knowledge. Her own experience with a doula, with her second child, is what inspired her practice and passion in what she preaches and practices. She's currently pregnant now and will venture with a home birth next. She can basically say, "I've done it all!". She can relate to different births and/or she can share stories of those she see has seen/experienced first hand. She has so much to share and she has so much to give. Although she was pregnant, preparing and teaching a couple classes, has 2 and 1/2 kids, and in the middle of a move, she'd pick up the phone as if she was sitting around waiting for your call to answer any questions you had. I called her prior to class starting to inquire about her class. She was on vacation and still picked up my phone to talk to me for a good 20 minutes probably. I had a question late at night at 9pm or so and she still responded to my text message. She was busy putting her children to bed but got back to me right away to let me know she needed a minute to respond. Her classes offered some activities to allow us to practice "real life" scenarios. It was definitely good practice and allowed us to ask questions while we were doing it, in case it came up when we finally went into labor and Karen wasn't around. You basically get to practice what she teaches. Hands-on practice is always the best way to learn. I never imagined I would learn so much, especially in just 5 classes. This is my first birth and I'm so glad I learned what I learned from her before my first experience. I love her positive aura and personality overall. She's beautiful too! Very enjoyable to be around and learn from. She even offered little snacks for our growling tummies and cute little prizes. Totally unexpected and not necessary for her to do, but that's what also makes her so awesome! I Totally wish I could have her as my doula but she's so far away, it wouldn't be a good idea. She'll also be on the tail end of her maternity leave by then. She offered her full support and open availability if my husband and I needed anything. I appreciated that so much. We both know that she's just a phone call away. I wish everyone could learn what I learned from Karen. It would better prepare all women (and partners) out there for a more natural and unregrettable birth for them and their child and more likely prevent regrettable birth experiences.

From the moment we first met during our prenatal encounters, I knew I was in the presence of someone truly exceptional. Your wealth of knowledge and calm reassurance gave me the confidence I needed to face the uncertainties of labor and childbirth. You didn't just prepare me; you empowered me. Every question, every concern, every doubt I had was met with your warmth and understanding. On the day of labor, when the hours felt both endless and fleeting, you were my anchor. You created a space of safety and strength, where I could trust my body and the process. Your ability to anticipate my needs, your steady encouragement, and your calm presence allowed me to find the courage I didn't know I had. At a time when I felt most vulnerable, you became my strongest advocate, ensuring that my voice was heard and my wishes respected. You have a gift, Sarah, one that goes beyond training or experience- so much so that even the nurses at our hospital were impressed and made a point of mentioning and asking us all about you! You possess an innate ability to nurture, to empower, and to instill confidence in moments that often feel overwhelming. Your dedication to your work and the genuine care you extend to those you support are nothing short of extraordinary. Liam's birth was a beautiful and empowering experience, and so much of that is because of you. You not only supported me physically but also emotionally and spiritually, leaving a profound impact on my life. I will forever be grateful for the role you played in one of the most defining moments of my life. I wholeheartedly and enthusiastically recommend you to anyone seeking the support of an incredible doula. They will not only find a skilled professional but also a true advocate, a guide, and a friend. With immense gratitude and love, Lucy (aka, Liam's mama!) And here are a few words from dad's perspective: As a first time Dad there were so many unknowns to me and I really wanted to be involved in our decisions and support my wife as much as possible but I also didn't really know anything about it. Lucy suggested looking into a doula and after a couple interviews we connected with Sarah right away over the phone. Lucy really loved her, she seemed extremely knowledgable and we are very happy we chose her. I think one of the most beneficial parts of working with her for me was all of the pre-natal coaching and availability. It really put our minds at ease to have the ability to text her with simple questions as they came to our minds and have some meetings during Lucy's pregnancy where we could talk about all the things to expect as first time parents and develop a strategy for the birth itself. It took so much stress off to have these pre-natal visits and to feel her confidence and experience in the process. I felt ready and excited rather nervous and scared. Having her there the day of the birth was amazing and also fascinating for this dad to watch. I could actually watch on the monitors as Sarah and Lucy worked together on breathing through labor and through her coaching they controlled her contractions and actually helped the labor progress quicker from what I saw. I actually had to be careful not to distract them or I noticed things would slow down. When Lucy was pushing Sarah helped and coached her through that as well and never left her side. Overall it was a beautiful experience bringing our boy Liam into the world with Sarah. PS. A note from our nurses at the hospital. After you left the nurses asked us, "where did you find that doula? Was she on the list the hospital provides?" We told her no, she's a friend that we found on our own. She commented, "She was really incredible, we see A LOT of doulas in here and so often we think to ourselves, you are actually paying this person to be here?" But she was impressive! One of the best.

From the very first interaction, I knew she was special -- that she was the one I wanted by my side when I gave birth to my son. Sarah was always available to ease my mind and answer every question we had. You can feel her passion for what she does, and her energy is truly magnetic. I was anxious about my delivery, especially after having a rough experience with my firstborn. But from the moment Sarah came into my life, I felt a new sense of confidence and strength. Even my partner, who had his own worries about the delivery process, felt reassured and confident thanks to her. She gave us the tools to prepare our minds, bodies, and hearts for what was ahead. Because of Sarah, I was able to accomplish something I've always dreamed of -- a calm, peaceful, natural birth for my son. I can proudly say that I did it -- 27 hours of labor without an epidural -- and it was the most empowering and magical experience of my life. Sarah stayed by our side the entire time, supporting us through every contraction and every moment. I truly couldn't have done it without her, and I would do it all over again in a heartbeat. I would recommend Sarah to any expecting mother -- she is a gift.

She made the classes memorable and not boring at all and she always provided you with material to take home yourself. Amanda was so good at checking in with us and even came to our house a few times to go over everything before birth. She always made us so comfortable and confident! She helped us with questions we had about our birth plan, and even though my birth plan sort of went out the window, she was still there with her presence and knowledge to guide me through.
