From the moment I met Liz, I knew I didn't need to meet anyone else. I loved her, and was so excited to be working with her. She came over to my house a couple times, and she provided me so many great resources for before and after my birth! She was always so helpful whenever I had any questions, and I had a ton! When it came time for my son to be born, there was meconium in the water, which led to a c section. I was scared for my baby, Liz was right there holding my hand while I cried. She waited at the hospital with my husband and I for hours. It was like my best friend was there. After my son was born (11-23-19) Liz took my placenta for encapsulation, and came to my house a few days after his birth. We talked about the birth and she gave me a beautiful placenta print, my sons dried cord, a picture of my placenta, and my placenta pills. Liz is so kind and genuinely caring. She is meant for this line of work. I cannot think of a better person to have had by my side through my pregnancy, birth, and postpartum. From ways to naturally induce labor, questions about certain pregnancy symptoms, and concerns about labor, she was there to help me to prepare for my upcoming labor and delivery of my son. Sheri was with me throughout my entire 33 hours of labor. She practically turned my labor room into a spa! With aromatherapy, LED candles, relaxing music and essential oils, she made my room so comfortable and serene! She tended to my needs during the entire labor. She used massage, imagery and breathing techniques to get me through every contraction and obstacle in labor. Her experience as a labor and delivery/postpartum nurse also helped to give me piece of mind since she also had the medical background and knowledge to understand everything going on between the medical professionals. She was able to explain to me things I didn't understand, offer suggestions, and be an advocate for me when it came to my nurses and the entire health care team. After the birth of my baby, Sheri continued to go above and beyond to make sure we were taken care of. She visited me at the hospital the day after the baby was born and brought me lactation cookies and padsicles (frozen maxi pads with aloe vera and witch hazel... AMAZING!!!), she visited me at my home when I was having issues with breastfeeding, and when I mentioned something about wanting to wear a Moby wrap, she told me she had some loner wraps and brought me one to my home. I could text her anytime of the day with a question or concern and she would respond very quickly. The only way I can truly describe Sheri is by saying she is seriously an angel. Her calm demeanor, her soothing voice, her graciousness, gentleness, sincerity, patience and love for her job make her someone you just want to be around, especially during this very intimate time in your life. I was hesitant to take the…read moreclass because of a traumatic birth with my first baby which was supposed to be natural, but ended up with so many medical interventions, and was skeptical of being able to do a natural birth given my previous experience. However, Lisa was very kind and understanding of my situation, explaining that my first experience was filled with special circumstances and assured me that none of that would happen again. She educated me and my husband with all our options for our hospital birth and giving me a new hope and courage that I would be able to give birth naturally. This past week I had a scare that I had a rupture of membranes and did not go into labor (the same thing that started my first traumatic birth experience) and I reached out to her through text. She gave me lots of advice, reminded me to stay calm, and suggested some natural induction methods which worked. We also benefited from using the acupressure pain relieving techniques we learned from Lisa during labor. I started getting strong contractions at midnight, got to the hospital at 2:30am, and had my baby girl in my arms by 3:37am. Bryce has kids of her own, so she was extremely knowledgeable about it from personal experience but also she was professionally knowledgeable with certifications and many years of experience by the time she helped me with my delivery. I found Bryce to be a great resource for every question I had and she always presented both sides when possible. She had a phone consult with me and then did a few classes/ planning sessions with my husband and I before the baby was born and then for the birth she came over as soon as I entered active labor and did not leave my side for anything until the baby arrived and was prepared to stay as long as I needed her afterwards which was amazing! She made the hospital room feel comfortable and cozy and set the tone with all the staff at the hospital, making sure everyone knew my birth plan and checking my levels and asking them questions and encouraging me.
