I swore off this place after my first visit in which I was misled to believe my "coupon" for a free first visit was entirely valid. There was no contradicting statement anywhere on the document I'd been provided and Dr. Donahoe came highly recommended by close and trustworthy friends. Only AFTER I had been seen was I told those coupons were only for customers without insurance, which I technically had, but being the beginning of the year, I was socked with $160 bill for services rendered. I called them at that time to peaceably inform them of my dissatisfaction with their incidental dishonesty and told them I would not be returning. I have not. However, after the birth of our first child, it was apparent our son would need the care of a now-natal chiropractor to assist with clogged tear ducts. Dr. Donahoe was fantastic, and the six or so visits we made went off without incident. They were always good with taking our instance, etc. Well, about two weeks ago my wife threw her back out pretty epically. She called Dr. Donahoe's office in the morning and found they had an opening. Nothing much was said, and so we made nothing of it except good luck on our part as is this office is pretty busy most of the time. Well, again, just like in my case, it was only AFTER services had been rendered did my wife find that she was being treated as a CASH customer because she had booked the appointment was booked less than 24 hours before being seen and insurance could not be queried. Never mind that our insurance was already on file. My wife had our screaming toddler under her arm and ended up having to shell out $65 out of pocket just to get out of there. She was told our insurance would likely reimburse her. Well, a few days later we look into that and we see that ON TOP of having paid $65 cash, Dr. Donahoe's office had billed the same $65 to our insurance and had already received most of it. Not once, either when booking the appointment over the phone, nor at check in, when the information would have been most useful did anyone at the desk say anything about having to pay the cash price for a last minute appointment. Only after everything was said and done, just like in my case, did they drop that bomb. Now neither of us are likely to ever go back. If double billing a patient and the insurance isn't illegal--and I'd like to think it is--this place is going to have some explaining to do some day soon.

The sitters were professional, reliable and punctual; only once was one late, it was only by a few minutes, and she texted us promptly to give an ETA. They were all great with my son. One did stand out above the rest, and Wild Roots did a great job of trying to book our preferred sitter whenever available.
