I've been coming to Lake Gaston (LKG) my entire life, and I never ate at this location when it was home to the previous businesses. After visiting One Eyed Jack's, I'm glad to see this spot brought back to life! The outside atmosphere is awesome, and being able to pull your boat right up to the dock and enjoy dinner is exactly what makes Lake Gaston special. The vibe is comfortable, welcoming, and a great place to relax with friends and family. I had the smash burger and a Landshark, and both were amazing! The food, drinks, and overall experience made for a great visit. A big shout out to Michelle -- she was fantastic and made the experience even better with her friendly and welcoming service. Definitely worth a visit if you're at Lake Gaston! read more

Great spot on the water. We frequented this weekend over the 4th. As a larger party I was hoping for a reservation but no luck. I think this would benefit them as the place feels big but inside space is limited. Service and food were good. Fast paced and yummy. Clean bathrooms but no changing table for kiddos. This could easily be added and should be. Upstairs has a pool table and a few casino machines at the bar. Great location and awesome views of lake. We would return. read more

One Eyed Jack's is a great spot to enjoy tasty American Fare, especially after enjoying a long day on the lake. The bartender, Tyler was very friendly and he gave us time to decide on our drinks. Our party of 10 was ready for dinner, and our server Candice took time to answer our menu questions. She was honest and very helpful with her suggestions. We enjoyed the shrimp basket and fries, smash burger and onion rings, and braised short rib poutine. Candice warned us that the poutine was a heavier dish, and she was right. But, with two of us sharing it, the dish was just right. We enjoyed the pirate themed decor of the restaurant and the menu offers a variety of dishes. We're glad we made One Eyed Jack's our dinner choice. read more

This was by the far the best restaurant of our trip. Our waitress Michelle was awesome and she set the tone for the best meal we've had on our trip. We sat outside but on the covered deck and the view was beautiful. The staff were all welcoming and friendly. We had my mother in law with us who is Oxygen and walker dependent but we were in my car that did not have handicapped tags...the staff were gracious about us parking in the handicapped spot and seated us at the closet table to the ramp entrance. For apps, we ordered the soft pretzel w beer cheese, the fried catfish bites and the mozzarella sticks. The pretzel and the catfish bites were very good. Hot and delicious and great for sharing. The Mozarella sticks though were fantastic. Maybe 1/4" thick half moons of Mozarella breaded and deep fried, the ratio of breading to cheese was perfect, the cheese pull was long, and the breading was perfectly seasoned. These were a hit with the whole table. My husband ordered the smash burger which was very good, two of us got the fish and chips, which was, perfectly seasoned, breaded and fried...lightly crispy, not greasy and the homemade tartar sauce and coleslaw are very good. These coleslaw was fresh and not sweet, which complimented the fish nicely. My sister in law ordered the shrimp and enjoyed it as well. There is a decent sized enclosed gazebo type seating area and the whole outdoor area overlooks the water and is a pleasant place to eat and admire the view. The vibe was relaxed, the views lovely, the staff friendly and very competent and the food was very good. If we had more time this trip, we'd be back for another meal. Thank you One Eyed Jacks for a great meal! Sorry there's no pictures.,,we're on a family vacation and we have a phones down policy at the dinner table. read more

One Eyed Jacks has improved so much! It is pricey, but the food is great. It's a fun atmosphere right on the water. Our waitress Kayla was wonderful!! She gave great recs and was super helpful and sweet. Definitely will be back and requesting Kayla! read more

Great lunch spot. We arrived via the water. Everything was enjoyable. Service was excellent, and the view was amazing.

Bar food and not very good. under staffed and poor quality. I believe Their parent company is Waterview. Ate there last night and quality has dropped and prices increased dramatically Really miss The Pointe Restaurant . good food, great service and fair price read more

One Eyed Jack's is open in the space previously occupied by The Pointe. We dined in at the bar and had no issues grabbing seats mainly because of the time of year that we visited. I started off with a beer then had an arrgg-a-rita. For food it was the cheesesteak hoagie with fries for me and the fish sando with sweet potato fries for my husband. The food was average but the location on the lake offers nice views. read more

This was our first visit here since the closing of The Pointe and the opening of One Eyed Jacks. The customer service was attentive and friendly. We ordered the fried flounder sandwiches. I paired mine with fries and he ordered the coleslaw. Everything came out fresh and timely. Our fish was delicious and the portions were perfect. My only complaint would be the Mac and cheese off of the kids menu. I ordered the Mac and cheese for my four year old granddaughter, and although it was delicious to me...the pepper jack cheese was just too spicy for her young palette. We look forward to coming back and trying other dishes from the menu. read more

Decided to go to One Eye Jacks for a late lunch... it did not disappoint. Got the wings ... great. Got the mozzarella sticks... great. Got the seafood pasta... great. Michelle our server was terrific. And you can't beat that view of the lake!!!! Coming back read more

Good food, visited for the weekend and it's a local spot! Quick bite & a beer or hangout while you're going out on the water. Enjoyed our time & service was good. read more

I had the Kale Apple Salad, it was delicious. The hostess/waitress was very welcoming and let me choose where i wanted to sit. All of the customers were happy and atmosphere was great. The change of ownership made a big change inside and out of the building. The place actually looked like an actual restaurant not a beach hangout. read more

So we finally got to OEJ on Monday ~ Labor Day- which we know was crazy busy- but even so..... We were seated in a room that wasn't great/ the rest rooms were right next to us so even with a screen there was a great view of a toilet. Yeah Menu is quite limited, also understandable as it's new. I ordered Fish and chips ( the only non sandwich option other than a shrimp taco) and my husband ordered a burger as the cheesesteak was sold out . His burger was very good as were the onion rings. My fish and chips was so fried, breading galore and greasy as can be as were the fries. Even with this I'd give a better review, however the tiny paper plates and cheapest flimsy plastic fork, knife and tiny napkin was a non starter and impossible to eat with- this giant breaded fried to death fish. Forget it. Plastic water cups, beer in plastic Everything was disposable including the service- food came out before beers, took forever to get waited on and it was not busy when we were there. We know you own the WatersView, we know you know how to run a restaurant- but this is barely a snack bar with beer. Get some plates, real silverware and glasses- we want to love you but for now we are out. You can't survive on simply the view. read more

I was fortunate enough to be invited to One Eyed Jacks' soft opening last night--and left genuinely impressed. The service was warm, attentive, and organized (especially for night one). Drinks were well-made and fit the relaxed lakefront vibe. Food-wise, it's a hit parade: the oysters were fresh and briny; the chicharrones came out hot and crisp; the Brussels sprouts were ultra-crunchy with a bright, zesty finish; and the mussels were tender in a spicy, garlicky broth you'll want to mop up. The steak frites was cooked to temp and nicely seasoned, and the short rib poutine was a rich, delicious standout. The setting is a bonus: comfortable indoor seating plus an open-air gazebo bar outside that's going to be a prime hangout on warm evenings. For a soft opening, everything felt dialed in. If this is the baseline, Lake Gaston just gained a new favorite. Order tips: Don't miss the oysters, Brussels sprouts, mussels, and the short rib poutine; the steak frites is a great call if you're craving something classic. Bottom line: Great service, good drinks, and truly great food in a relaxed lakeside setting. I'll be back soon. read more

Great food! We had the fish and chips. Great service from Brooklyn! She is awesome! Nice gazebo with heaters and dog friendly.

The fish tacos were good. The wings were good. The 28 dollar seafood pasta was very small and mediocre. I believe I saw four shrimp and not much else other than pasta. We ordered two alcoholic drinks. One came after a significant wait. The other didn't come until the end of the meal so we declined it. The atmosphere is great and it's a beautiful location.. But it's a pretty expensive place. read more

Wow! The renovations are great! Big deference! Service is with a friendly smile. Can't wait to come back!

Tomato soup was great! Was not impressed with the Asian Chicken sandwich- flavors were not there, little dry but for those that want BIG this sandwich delivers. read more

Walked over fromEatons Crossing dockside walkway. Sneakers a must to make the yard trek to dock on the other side of the inlet, and up the grassy areas and stone parking lot to the back of the restaurant. PACKED on weekends. Shrimp Tacos were good. Braised short rib Poutine, not so much. Indoor banquets and outdoor rotunda and porch seating. Rotunda affords view of dock and lake in backdrop. Typical tourist, casual, collegiate staffed boat side pull-up restaurant. read more

Had been waiting for this place to open with great anticipation. Finally they opened! Understand this is a new place but the disorganization was obvious. After waiting for a hostess to be seated, service was uneven and distracted. Menu is very limited. I had shrimp tacos, which were ok, but served on paper plate with plastic utensils. Wife had Brussels sprouts which were air fried, but overcooked and dripping with oil. The salad which was tiny with wilted dry and scant toppings. Flies surrounding our table were annoying. Prices are high, quality low. Keep driving. read more

Fantastic atmosphere and great food. I highly recommend the Fish and Chips, but my daughter loved the pork belly sandwich and said it tasted great with the pirates punch. Our meals came out piping hot. The waitress was very attentive and courteous. read more

Amazing spot, amazing food, amazing staff!!!! What more could you ask for?!? We love OEJ's!

Great food and awesome view of the lake! The citrus crunch salad is fantastic with a side of sweet potato fries.

Smash burger and Asian chicken were delicious! Brooklyn was great! Will definitely be returning!

We will never go back until the restaurant uses real dinnerware and plates. A casual atmosphere is fine, but flimsy cheap plastic utensils are a non starter. Plastic cup for wine...no thank you. Plastic plates really. Food was uneven, service was very good, but some in our party did not like their food. We were a party of 8 last Sunday night August 24th. read more
