I love this store! It's MY Kmart! They have everything i need and some stuff i don't need but…read morebought it anyway! The few Returns I have made have not been an issue. The staff is helpful and patient.

I went to Ocean State Job Lot after a long day of cleaning my house. I shop at this location often, sometimes even just to walk around and get a little "mom time," so it's usually a pleasant experience. This visit, however, was very different. At checkout, I handed the cashier my six curtain panels, which he counted and rang up. Since I planned to iron them before hanging, I just placed them back in my cart loosely. While I was paying, a team lead named Guy hovered around me, looked into my cart, and asked if my curtains were "okay" being tossed in that way. I told him they were fine, but instead of moving on, he took them out of my cart and recounted them--as if the cashier hadn't already done so. After carefully sorting them one by one, he even asked if there were eight, despite the transaction showing six. He was the one who miscounted, yet his behavior made me feel like I was being accused of stealing without him ever saying the words. I have never been treated like that in this store before. It was humiliating and frustrating to be singled out when I had done nothing wrong. I'll admit that as I walked out, I had a few choice words for him directly because I was so angry. The fact that he miscounted yet still insinuated I was trying to steal has me absolutely boiling. I was so upset I returned everything I had purchased and decided I will not shop here again. I will also be contacting corporate and the store manager about how I was treated. No customer should ever be made to feel like a thief when they are simply shopping and paying for their items.

I want to start out by saying that I don't go out of my way to write reviews for many things, but…read morethis experience was so horrific, I want to make sure it's publicly communicated to others. In November, my husband and I went to Feceras to look for a new couch. We previously bought a couch here and went back again. We were so happy to support this small business that we were willing to rent a UHaul to come pick up it up since we were outside of their normal delivery zone. Our sales person, Jade, helped us order a custom layout with a custom fabric in the layout that we had in mind. The key word here is custom. Jade showed us a handful of layouts on a piece of paper. The furniture was made by Lazyboy, and you could pick a layout and also interchange pieces that were on the opposite side of paper. Being a salesperson and supposed product expert, we trusted Jade and Fecera's to design a piece that would fit our space. The layout decided was a cuddler piece on the left (that would sit flush up against the corner wall), a love seat, followed by a corner piece, and an extended chaise. Fast forward to the week after Christmas when the real nightmare began. My husband went to pick up the couch from the warehouse in the rented UHaul that is close to an hour away from our new home. There was no QA or inspection done by them, and when this was brought up to Fecera's after the fact, I was told that it was our responsibility to check for damages before we left the warehouse. Makes sense when an item is already securely wrapped for transport, right? Once we began unwrapping the couch pieces, starting with the cuddler, there was immediately noticeable fabric damage on one side. After all of the pieces were unwrapped, it was the same for the chaise, which also had a broken leg that was unable to be screwed in correctly to the bottom of the couch. It looked absolutely ridiculous and didn't fit our space, it was completely the wrong layout. I called the store and spoke with Jade. Initially, she was very apologetic and was willing to try to make something work. However, we were told on multiple occasions that since it was a "custom" piece, we'd be subject to the 25% restocking fee.. Even though THEY ordered the wrong layout. The conversation went back and forth with Jade for about a week discussing options, where I also received some not so nice messages. She expressed that I would need to pay the restocking fee and I wanted them to come pick it up so they couldn't say it was damaged anymore, etc. and they wanted to charge us $149 for the pickup fee since we're outside of their delivery zone. Even though we spent $150+ on a UHaul to come pick it up initially, they wouldn't give us any kind of compensation for us going out of our way to support their business. I wasn't satisfied with this resolution and I called the store to speak with a manager. There was no manager in the store (which is funny because I called on multiple occasions and had family members call and there seemed to never be a manager available) so I left my name and my number for them to give me a call back. I've paid the restocking fee and the delivery charge just to get this off my hands, even though we're completely unsatisfied, losing out on almost a thousand dollars. If you're considering making a large, expensive purchase and going out of your way to support a small business, take your business elsewhere. The way I was treated as a returning, loyal customer is absolutely disgusting and they should be ashamed that they refused to admit their fault and reach a resolution that would make me happy. I'll be sharing this experience with all of our friends and family in the area so they avoid this business too.

We purchased a Klaussner sofa and oversized arm chair with an extended warranty on March 3,2018…read more Our first issue arose when delivery was not recieved within 4-6 weeks as stated. It was nearly the end of April before our set was delivered. Management was responsive to this issue. They cited an issue with the fabric being out of stock and refunded our delivery fee. Within a few months of delivery we noticed that the seat cushions no longer had any support. In addition to this the back pillows were rolling down and no longer looked nice. Shortly before Christmas of 2018 we discovered that two of the throw pillows were shredding apart revealing the stuffing inside. Around the same time, my husband went to adjust himself in the chair and felt the arm crack and break. We initially contacted the warranty company shortly after this incident. At that point we were told that our extended warranty didn't cover much more than the fabric. At the time of purchase we were assured it would cover everything. My husband then contacted Fecera's.A repairman came out to look at our issues. He claimed that the arm broke because too much weight was place on it. No one sat on it or jumped on it, my husband (who is not a large man) simply adjusted himself while sitting. He claimed the couch had lost support because people were lying on it. We rarely, if ever, lie down on the sofa. He told me I should be fluffing the back cushions every couple of weeks, which seems ridiculous. In the end he told me he'd put in a claim to have the pillows replaced and would have to come back at another date to repair the arm. Soon after the visit, we recieved a phone call from Erica. She informed us that the two pillows would be replaced, but they would not be repairing the arm since it was not meant to hold any weight at all. Our pillows arrived, I'm sure they'll shred again. I ended up turning to Facebook where I wrote a review for both the manufacturer and Fecera's. Initially the manufacturer deleted my post. After I called them out on it they contacted us and have told us that they told Fecera's to send someone to fix the arm. Fecera's seems to have deleted their entire Facebook account. We have not heard from them at all. Avoid this company. We are now stuck with a sofa that looks several years old, despite being less than a year old. Our Klaussner sofa set is poor quality and Fecera's is simply unwilling to back up the furniture that they sell. We will never buy another item from Fecera's and will encourage our family and friends to do the same. The sofa set we were sold is not meant to be used at all. It is such a disappointment.
