My one and only encounter with Vince thus far was for my wedding, and he and his team were outstanding. With just a few months' notice, he not only crafted a custom-made tuxedo, vest and shirt--and ordered custom shoes from Italy--for me, but also managed to make six custom tuxedos and shirts for my groomsmen. Of course, he also equipped all seven of us with studs, cuff links and bow ties. He offered me reasonable options to choose from and was very flexible in working to meet all of our needs. (I should also mention that he additionally made custom tuxedos for both my father and my father-in-law within the same time period.) The most impressive thing about how the order was handled is that my groomsmen were literally located all over the place, with some of them being in more remote areas and not having access to a clothier or department store to get any measurements. Since only one groomsman was local, Vince and his staff personally contacted all of the others to discuss their measurements and body type, posture, etc. In one case, Vince worked with the groomsman to have that groomsman's friend take the measurements himself and report them back to Vince, who then made small adjustments based on what he thought were the groomsman's best fit for a custom tux. The mark of a true craftsman! Vince shipped the tuxedos out to most of the groomsmen ahead of time, but offered last-minute appointments to the others who needed to pick theirs up in-store in order to put on the finishing touches. The results were fantastic, and we have the elegant wedding pictures to prove it. My groomsman had a great impression of Vince from their interactions with him. It was on my bucket list to get a custom made suit. I used my daughter's wedding to fulfill this wish. I "Googled" custom made suits in Rochester and One Custom Clothier was the highest rated. I soon found out why. When I first walked in the shop, Vince welcomed me and wanted to know how he could help me. He proceeded to ask me several questions about my needs and life style. Amazing Suit, Phenomenal service, Outstanding people. I'm getting married in September and needed a suit. This left me with a few options; big-box stores, online rental or custom suit. I looked into pricing and debated the options of quality and price. After being in a dozen weddings, I am always left with a sub-par suit from one of the big chain suit stores or a rental. I decided to look into the custom options, after all this will be the most photographed day of my life! I researched online and noticed all the 5 star reviews at One Custom.. I made an apportionment and met with Vince. With no pressure to buy right away, he sat down with me and took time to explain the whole process, and how he would craft a suit to make me feel and look good for my wedding. Because of the crooked posture that I have developed over the past few years, my clothes have become ill-fitting, and "off-the-rack" clothing has become all but impossible to satisfactorily alter. As a young professional who has never really owned a serious suit before, I came to Vince for a couple reasons: Buying a suit is a serious investment and an intimidating process if you've never done it before (or never had it done right before), so I needed someone I could trust. Great working with Vince on my custom pieces!! This being my first custom suit purchase, he was very accommodating and worked with me to determine exactly what I wanted in a garment. I never felt pressured to purchase, nor did he try to up sell me. I had three 3 piece suits made and 1/2 a dozen dress shirts. On the suits, I was able to pick out every detail from the fabric all the way down to the color of the pick stitching and the color of the buttons. Being 6'2, 195 lbs I often find it hard to find the right fit. My legs are about 5'9 by them selves! The custom fit on all of them is perfect! My wife's facial expression when she first saw me wearing one of these suits was priceless and if you are married, you know how important that can be. I felt intimidated about getting my first custom suit-- not only because it's an investment, but also because I'm a woman who was unsure of any local tailor's ability or willingness to make a suit that wasn't for a guy. It was time to buy a new suit and I decided I would give the custom route a shot, figuring it was well out of my price range.
