One Aveda hair Salon; Well gotta say this is the " One" Shop ya gotta try if your looking for a haircut that you can feel comfortable without stressing putting products in to cover up all the imperfections you have , I tried the shop I had Tommy cut my hair which I prefer short he listened to my concerns and what I was looking for in style he explained a few things to me made a few recommendations & we went with that, I have now been a repeat customer , the shop is extremely clean, the staff is friendly, I was offered, coffee, soda, water etc . Nothing like going for a haircut and feeling relaxed knowing that you will leave certainly looking fresher than your arrival.. Tommy also cut my wife's hair which was long and she wanted shorter he did a fantastic job as well she also is a repeat customer, we even took my grandson for a haircut as well... My wife had a terrible experience at One Aveda. The stylist rushed the cut, and the end result was 350$ and the 2 pictures with messed up hair down below. We asked for a refund because it was genuinely unacceptable, but they refused and showed no empathy. This is a joke of a business. Thankfully, we went to Miriams Dominican Beauty Salon they were professional, kind, and fixed everything beautifully for half the price at 150$. We're so grateful to them for saving the day. Wish we went there first. I don't like leaving negative reviews, but people deserve to know what to expect. Hopefully, One Aveda takes this as a learning opportunity and improves because this is unacceptable. read more

My first visit will be my last visit. I made an appointment for a cut, color and blow out. I was quoted $130 but was charged $175.00. I had a $25.00 birthday voucher that they deducted so in all actuality they would have charged me $200!!! I don't mind paying that much if it is great but this was horrible. I have been to Aveda salons before and this by far was the worst by a long shot. The second star is strictly because they are following all CDC guidelines and I felt safe. My stylist was Tyra. She was very nice but I had to question her several times about what she was doing and why. When she said I was done, I thought she was kidding! The color came out nice but not really what I wanted. This was my first salon visit in over five months due to the virus. The first red flag was when she said she will clean my hair up with what I currently had. I said no, it's been five months and I need a complete new style. I'm really mad at myself for not walking out. I was so stressed out sitting in her chair when I should have felt good finially being in a salon after so long. I can go on with a list of things that didn't make me happy but I will only address one of them because it really pissed me off. I have been getting blow outs for years and usually a brush(s) are involved. She was just using her fingers & only used a brush for two minutes! Of course I asked her why she wasn't using a brush and her response was a brush is only used as a guide! She actually said this to me! I asked her how to style my hair at home and she said just use my fingers and that is it! Tyra offered no guidance or direction and she didn't suggest or ask me what products I was currently using. I know it's challenging to do someone's hair when they are wearing a mask, I get it, but at least remove as much color off of my skin as possible. I was livid when I went home and looked in the mirror. This visit was a complete disaster. After not going to the salon for several months, I was so excited to come here to get a new look. When I left I actually cried on my way home. I can't recommend this salon or stylist based upon my own experience. They have good reviews so obviously they have satisfied clients. Victoria at One Aveda is amazing and helped give my hair some life back again! I'm very particular about my hair and so glad I was placed with Victoria, as she helped me maintain a longer hair style with perfect long layers and framing layers long enough to be able to put my hair back for training in the gym. I went with Pracilla she was good and gave me just what I wanted she had a good personality and wasn't too chatty which I like ! My hair looks great and I love it they didn't try to charge me for sneaky extra charges or anything like that how some salons do. They are fair, kind, natural, and they actually get the hair right on the head of the needle lol! Also might I add they had a great price which allowed me to give a good tip :) ! She was very nice, as were the other staff I encountered. My only grievance is that, while all staff were properly masked- this was not completely enforced for customers. I wasn't going to post a review, but my daughter said this would be a public service. Melanie butchered my hair. I had long hair, a lot to work with and she gave me the worst hair cut of my life. It's so bad I have to either wear it up with hair clips or a hat on my head. It's so bad when I took the clips out to show my daughter she doubled over laughing. It's so bad all my husband could say is "wow, that's 'short'". She did basically everything I asked her not to do. I wanted a shoulder length cut with layers, she gave me a severe straight cut angled from back to front - which is EXACTLY what I told her I did not want. I HATE this hair style. My teenage son has mid-length hair and is super particular about hair cuts and really hard to please. Tommy was recommended online as someone good with men's long hair styles. My son has now gotten three cuts with Tommy and has been happy every time. I also had Tommy cut my hair and was so happy to find a stylist that when I said "I want bangs" actually gave me the bangs I wanted and not a side sweep long fringe. Last week we had an appointment scheduled with Tommy that was really hard to get and my son desperately needed before his big 8th grade end of year graduation dance. Tommy was out due to a family emergency and Sue went out of her way to fit him in and also gave him exactly the cut he requested. Their service is not as all-inclusive and pampering as the Boynton location but their talent makes up for it. read more

I have been a client at One Aveda for 4 years. Everybody that works there is very nice and they go above and beyond to accommodate and try to please their clients. I have to go every 3 weeks (yes I am a slave to my hair) for root color. Anna who has been doing my hair for several months does a great job every time and her blow outs are amazing. She takes her time and I have never felt rushed. Priscilla has also colored my hair many many times and has always done a great job as well. The salon is always clean(bathroom too)! And they always offer coffee, water or tea while I am there. I would not hesitate to recommend One Aveda as I have before and would do it again. read more

I really liked this place and had a good experience. They are friendly here. The salon is nice and the prices are good. I had a haircut and color. Sara did both. She was knowledgable and friendly. I have been coming to One Aveda for a while now. I have seen three different stylists. I originally saw Priscilla, she was very nice and did a great job on my hair. I only do a gloss and blowout so my hair is rather simple. Due to conflicting times I had to find a new stylist so I was scheduled with Melanie. She is amazing, she is very tender while washing my hair and she has cut my hair in a way I really enjoy. I get colored once a month and she does a great job. She unfortunately has been away from the salon due to family emergencies, that is when I was recommended Christa. They are supposed to be the same level and experience. Christa is one of the most aggressive and painful hair washers I have ever experienced in my life. I have a ton of fine hair and she was rubbing and putting so much pressure on my scalp I actually said OW!! about 4 times during my 5 minute wash. She said sorry, then continued the same amount of discomfort. Honestly, if Melanie does not come back to the salon I probably won't be returning, it is already 30 minutes away from where we just moved to. It would definitely be worth the trip for Melanie, doubt it for some of the other stylists. Overall, I really enjoyed getting my hair done by her. read more
