She was super! She immediately shared her cellphone number where she took tons of pictures and provided details to the bags I was looking at. I felt Obligated to share review as many of the reviews were poor. Hopefully this influences someone who may have been hesitant to shop here.

I was able to get a few gifts (which they wrapped up really nicely) and also a few items for myself. One thing I think they could improve on is staff education as I was quoted one price on a necklace and during the payment I was told it was actually about $70 dollars than I was originally told. A little disappointed but not such a big deal. Really sweet people working there and really great products. I wish it was closer to my place but I'd make the drive again. The star of the show here I thought was the jewelry! Thanks so much Savvy Solemate.

Alo in the Design District area…read more I loooove Alo and am so happy I got to visit their store in person to see some of the items they have. We were passing by on our way back to the Museum Garage from MIA Market and decided to stop in. The store is pretty spacious and big. The staff was pretty helpful and they had a decent selection. I think this is a pretty popular location, especially given that there aren't many in person Alo stores so I was a bit bummed when they didn't have things in a certain size but totally understand. I didn't have exactly what I wanted here but it did lead me to online purchases. Overall, a great location for this store in Design District.

The sales lady was incredibly friendly, patient, and helpful throughout the entire process. She made us feel welcome and never pressured us, which we really appreciated. I put all my items back after being followed around this store while shopping. Why is an employee making unwanted contact with a customer 5+ times during a visit? Managers response was: "I don't know what to tell you." Look Kid, let me help you and your business get a clue: APOLOGIZE and train your staff better. Get some training yourself and take pride in your business. Hire staff without a language barrier. And acknowledge that you're losing sales by disrespecting your customers this way. Negative reviews on a clothing store are not a coincidence or an accident. This was a profoundly negative shopping experience. Frankly disgusted by the cavalier response from management.

So I walked in and there was another customer there the girl that worked there (very young btw) As I walked in I was never greeted or welcomed to the store. I looked around the store and was never offered any help, only when I grabbed something I was offered a fitting room. As I'm in the fitting room I can hear the girl having a full blown LOUD ASS conversation with a girl who apparently was her friend and was just sitting there talking to her and not paying attention to the customers in the store, they were talking about stupid things (high school problems lol) "omg I can believe she puts premium gas in her Honda" "omg when im a mom i wanna be like Kourtney Kardashian, not a fat mom" "omg remember when we were in camp and didn't do anything we literally ate shit all day" .. it was just an unpleasant shopping experience. When I asked her for a different size she pointed to the rack without offering help herself because she was too busy having a conversation with her friend. When it was time to be rung up please tell me why her friend (who does not work there) said "I want to do it" SHE LET HER FRIEND RING ME UP!!! When it was time to sign her friend was sitting on one of the chairs therefore she was in the way so I literally had to reach over her to sign the screen.... I guess it's cheaper to hire unprofessional high school/ young ass kids to work at this boutique. Never again!!!!! Also the same day my friend called to ask for bathing suit sizes and said they had a bunch. She made it there literally 2 minutes after she called and they said "oh we just sold out" REALLY???? Never again will I shop at this shitty customer service store. As far as the clothing, you are better off shopping at fashionnova.com or windsor.com and you don't have to deal with poor customer service. 11 MONTHS LATER ....... THE OWNER RESPONDED: 7/9/2018 Hi, I hope this message finds you well. Your review was responded to, just as we have always responded to all our other reviews, but unfortunately, yelp is not showing our responses. As we responded last time, we apologize that was your experience. We pride ourselves on excellent customer service. Lauren the employee who was helping you that day, does not recall the experience as you recall it. I checked the video footage and it also does not correlate with the story you have given. However, I do respect your feelings and I am sorry you felt that way. Alyssa, the friend, was an employee who was not on shift at the moment. As for the age, we are an equal opportunity employer, we offer employment opportunities to anyone over the age of 18, we offer work experience, and provide employment to the future of our city. So yes at times we do hire girls that are 18 years old, because we do not discriminate due to age. We train them effectively in customer service so they can grow to be respectful individuals. As for Kelsey, we have never employed someone by that name, so we are not quite sure where you got that idea from. You are free to come into the store and check our employment history to verify we have never had a Kelsey. Wishing you well! The Team At Alka Couture MY RESPONSE: First of all, you really went back to review cameras from 11 months ago? hmmmm OK. Second of all, why was someone who was not on the clock ringing me up? Sorry I felt that way? YOUR EMPLOYEES were having personal LOUD conversations in your very small store which made the shopping experience unpleasant not to mention I was not even acknowledged or greeted when I walked in. I find it very funny that you don't know who Kelsey Q is but yet you follow her on Instagram and is the same girl that was there that day. Again, unprofessional customer service and I will not shop there even if it was free. I do not care for your employment history record and no thank You I do not care about the children that you employee but do not properly train, I don't have that type of time to come in to check anything because I DON'T CARE! Have a great day.
